Walkthrough (Continued)

Projector - Band Concert V2

Foreground and Background; leave the characters in their default positions to make the most out of your first (and probably only) run through this projector screen. Proceed as follows (Mickey in the Foreground, Oswald in the Background):

- Mickey (Foreground): go to the right until you see a Gold Ticket (it's on the ground level). Stay here
- Oswald (Background): from the beginning, jump up the first tree you see, and then jump and glide to the right on more trees. At one point you'll reach a tree with a small doghouse on its branch; knock it off with a spin-attack
- Mickey: the doghouse will fall in the Foreground, and you'll gain access to the Gold Ticket
- Oswald: jump up and glide to the right to reach the Gold Pin
- Oswald: continue up the trees, and when you see a pig stuck on a tree branch use a spin attack to knock him off. This will eventually break down a tree and give you a bouncing platform (the pig's butt actually) with which you can then jump up some red&blue "musical platforms" to reach, up on a tall tree branch, the Band Concert V2 Film Reel # 12/16

There isn't anything else you can get with Mickey or Oswald. There would be a Gold Ticket in the Foreground path, but it takes a co-op jump to reach it. Ergo, just exit the level.

Prescott's Arena

This is a two-phases boss battle. At first you'll be dealing with a "turret". This first enemy can shoot fireballs at you, it can shoot "Thinner bombs", and it also creates an energy field on the ground that will shock you if you step on it.

Every now and then the enemy will take its time to restock on Thinner bombs. You can stun the enemy for a few seconds by sending enough fireballs back at it with spin attacks.

In order to damage the enemy, use either Paint or Thinner on the tanks on its back, and when it'll be full enough the enemy will stop completely and Oswald will reprogram it. You need to repeat this three times in order to continue to the second phase of the boss battle. I suggest the use of Paint, just so you don't accidentally spray Thinner on the ground during the battle.

The best way to deal with this first enemy the first two times is to stand on the pieces of the floor that can't be Thinned (they have a sort of dark-pink/purple color), and simply wait for the enemy to turn its back on you when he does his triple Thinner-bomb attack (he will always shoot left, right, and opposite of where you are; your chance is during the last shot I mentioned). I found this a much better approach than trying to chase the boss around the arena all the time while trying to hit his back for a few seconds, which is much less efficient than it sounds. So, again, stand in a safe spot and simply wait until he turns his back on you. Using the upgraded Watch Sketch will dramatically increase the amount of Paint you can spray at each opening, so make large use of it (cast the sketch as soon as he turns his back on you during his triple-Thinner-bomb attack).

If you do this, the only attack he might be using to hit you is his fireball attack, which you can easily send back at him since you're just waiting for him to do something instead of running around an half-Thinned arena all the time. It's also pointless to try and reach his back after stunning him with fireballs, by the way: by the time you reach his back he will be just about ready to awaken and turn around so you can't reach his back anymore.

For the third and final "round" against this first enemy you'll need to stand on the Thinnable pieces of the floor (the non-Thinnable portions are too far away from the boss to reach his back with Paint), but other than that the strategy will be exactly the same.

The second enemy is a giant enemy that attacks from afar. Again, it can throw fireballs and Thinner bombs at you, but it can also throw random junk at you. The goal of this battle is to break the six metal panels on the ground, and this can be accomplished with the Anvil Sketch and also "randomly" if the boss throws junk on the metal panels (which is more likely to happen if you stand on the metal panels, and then move away at the last second to avoid the projectile that will then land on the metal panel). It will take multiple (three) hits on the same panel to ultimately break it, so be persistent.

Some of the metal panels will reveal a control panel that Oswald will automatically operate for you. The other ones will reveal a big gear underneath, which you need to Paint. When you've cleared all six panels, Painted all the three gears, and Oswald has activated all the three control panels, the battle will be over.

At the end of the battle you will get the Second Chance Pin (Pin # 36/176) and unlock the achievement The Bigger They Are...

~ Achievement Unlocked - The Bigger They Are... ~

Episode 3 - Into the Depths

Mean Street South

You'll get a free Thinner/Paint upgrade and Electric upgrade when the new Episode starts.

There is a lot of optional things to do before progressing with the main quest, so let's get started.

Speak with the Train Conductor to complete the quest The Wasteland Limited # 06/06 and receive the All Aboard Wasteland Conductor Pin (Pin # 37/176).

Then head to the Detective Agency and speak with Tedworth to give him his Teddy Bear (possible only if you found all six pieces back in Blot Alley). Then speak with Horace in the same building to receive the Exorcised Pin (Pin # 38/176) and instructions on how to continue with the quest Horace's Assistant Assistance # 03/07. Now he wants you to find him another assistant, and he suggests either Barnacle Jones or "someone else". We'll go with "someone else", namely Clarabelle in OsTown.

Let's continue with the Underground area of Mean Street.

Underground

Just like there were two new Silver Pins in the previous episode, in this one there are 2x Gold Pins to retrieve. They are found on two platforms floating on the right (South) side, and you can reach them simply by gliding there together with Oswald.

Next stop: OsTown.

OsTown

Enter Clarabelle's house and speak with her a few times to continue the quest Horace's Assistant Assistance # 04/07 and start a new one entitled Clothes Make the Spatter # 02/04. Note that the Clothes Make the Spatter quest can only start with her if you received instructions by Horace to find him a new assistant.

Anyway, she will ask you the Flower Costume received earlier by Ian in Fort Wasteland -- give it to her. Also, you will receive 3x Bronze Pin and the A Very Messy Thank You Note item. Speak with Clarabelle again afterwards, and she'll formally ask you for more Flower Costumes.

Ride the train back to Mean Street South.

Mean Street South

Now there are 5x Flower Costume items for sale at the Mad Hatter's shop. They sell for 25 Cloth each, but you should have way more than enough to buy them all -- do so to progress with Clothes Make the Spatter # 03/04.

At this point you should also have enough items to complete the awful One Toon's Trash # 02/02 quest, so I strongly suggest you to end it once and for all so you can be free to complete the other quests. Read the next part carefully before doing anything in-game.

First of all, as you may remember from the Achievements Overview page, this quest has been reported to be buggy sometimes, in the sense that sometimes if you sell a quest item and then buy it back the game will not recognize the item anymore (it's as if you didn't buy it back). I didn't experience this bug myself, and the reports on this are extremely scarce (just one, to be honest), but just to be safe, it might be a good idea to make a backup copy of your save before selling anything.

To do the quest (keep reading everything before doing anything in-game!) you will head to the Museum, speak with Laralee at the entrance, REJECT her first demand to give her some objects (the first request is for the Watch the Skies quest!), and then she will ask you if you want to buy or sell anything.

NOW press the Y button to enter sell-mode, and sell a total of 20 items that you have, although you probably won't really have much of a choice. In fact, you should have just about 20 items to sell:

1,2. Clock Hand x 2 (you can only see one when you're selling items, but after you sell the first one you'll be able to sell another one)
3,4,5,6,7. Flower Costume x 5
8,9,10,11. Hook's Coat, Hook's Hat, Hook's Hook, Hook's Rapier
12,13. Melting Ice Cream, Ice Cream
14. A Very Messy Thank You Note
15. Tube Part (aka Part 79-B)
16. Stradivarius Violin
17,18,19,20,... Pocket Watch, Milk Bottle, Soda Cap, Lunchbox, (Sugar Bowl, Fan, ...)
More: four more "costumes" can be obtained in addition to the five Flower Costumes if you also start the Ian branch of the quest Clothes Make the Spatter, so those are the backup plan if you are short of items to sell for some other reason. Ian can be found in Blot Alley, and the four additional costumes will be up for sale at the Mad Hatter's shop after speaking with him. We'll see about this later.
Even more: you can buy the Fiddle and Giant Pearl in Ventureland and sell them to Laralee. These two items are otherwise unnecessary (don't buy them if you don't need additional items for One Toon's Trash).

You'll be rewarded with 1x Bronze Pin for the first five items, 3x Bronze Pin once you've sold 10, and 5x Bronze Pin for the completion of the quest (20 items owned by Laralee at once). You may only receive one reward at the time, so if you sell all 20 items at once you need to speak with her again another couple of times to enter the "shop menu", then quit and get your next reward.

Double-check that the quest has been completed (press the Start button, then LB, then scroll down to see if One Toon's Trash is completed or still in progress), and if you're positive that it's complete go on and buy the items back. Not all the items are important though, so you may want to skip the following ones to save some money (we'll need some E-Tickets later, to buy Pins at the various stores):

- Ice Cream, Melting Ice Cream, 2x Clock Hand: they have no purpose other than being sold
- Part 79-B. Jamface can repair a transport tube in Mean Street North with it, but there's nothing important associated with this device, so it's ok if the reparation never occurs
- Hook's Coat/Hat/Hook/Rapier: these four items are necessary to proceed with the story in a certain way, but in fact we want to take the alternative route to progress with the story. The alternative route doesn't require any of these four Hook's items, and it leads to an achievement that would actually be missed if you took the path that uses the Hook's items collection. Ergo, it's safe to not buy them back ever again

The rest of the items should be bought back, since they are part of one quest or another. There will be an additional +250 E-Tickets cost to the price Laralee originally paid you, so the actual cost of each item you buy back will be 250 E-Tickets (the only exceptions are the Ice Cream, which has an additional +100 E-Tickets only, and Melting Ice Cream, which has an additional +500 E-Tickets cost; it doesn't really matter since we don't even need to buy either one back). Therefore you shouldn't have any problems buying everything back (you should even make a profit!), and you may even want to get Part 79-B back just for the sake of completing the restoration of Mean Street North.

At this point (One Toon's Trash completed) it's safe (but not really necessary at the moment) to speak with Laralee again and, when asked to give her items that "fell out of the sky", accept and hand them over for increasing amounts of Scrap Metal. There are still two items to give her to complete the Watch the Skies quest, but they are not currently available, so that's it for now.

Let's return to OsTown.

OsTown

Speak with Clarabelle a few more times to give her the five Flower Costumes you just bought, sold, and bought again, thus completing her branch of the quest Clothes Make the Spatter # 04/04. She will give you a Discount Coupon for a store in return for the first four costumes: Ice Cream Shop discount coupon, Emporium discount coupon, Bat en Rouge discount coupon, Tiki Sam's discount coupon. For the last one, she will then give you the Green Thumb Pin (Pin # 39/176).

Head to the Mean Street North cinema via the projector in OsTown, and then to Blot Alley from there.

Blot Alley

Remember not to Thin any enemy here; Paint is ok.

Speak with Ian in the first alley (he'll be here only if you never Thinned any enemy in the areas where he expressed his care for them, i.e. Blot Alley alley and Fort Wasteland) to start his branch of the quest Clothes Make the Spatter (Ian) # 01/02. This is the only quest of the game where we really can (and need to) do both branches: although the quest is already officially complete now, we still need to get the rewards from Ian. We'll take care of it later.

We now need to reach the final area of Blot Easy (Club 13), but thankfully there will be a shortcut. The shortcut is in the area where you need to push the giant key in the Mickey-shaped doors after Oswald zaps a control panel to lower the gate before the key. If you remember, the door leading West was previously barred; now it's not barred anymore. If you go through it, you'll find a passage leading directly to the final area.

In the final area there will be bunnies hopping around now. First of all go reprogram the control panel near the transport tube so they are sent to Ortensia; then herd the five bunnies into the tube to continue with the quest The Bunny Wranglers # 04/08. You should have no problems finding the bunnies on your own (in fact they will probably all start hopping around Mickey as soon as you enter the area).

When it's done, travel to the Train Tunnels. You can simply use the projector screen here and play through the level, it's really not that long. If you go through it with both characters in the Background (set the characters icons on the upper-left corner of the projector screen) you can get the Gold Ticket you probably missed on your first run-through (to reach it, jump on the tree above where you start, and then co-op jump from the tree on to the ledge in the upper-left part of the screen to reach the Gold Ticket). Remember to spin-attack the music score at the far right end to exit the projector screen.

The Train Tunnels

Our business here is in the second diorama's room, where more bunnies can be found for the quest The Bunny Wranglers # 05/08. As always, reprogram the control panel first, then send them into the tube. Some of them may be on the higher platforms, and not just on the ground level.

When it's done, reach the room of the third diorama, and from there reach the exit to find the projector to Fort Wasteland, our next destination. Go through the projector with a character on each path, so you can get the last Gold Ticket (which you probably missed on your first run-through) of it by doing the following:

Just before falling through the broken giant drum of the Foreground path, make sure that the character in the Background hits a shiny piston in his own path (number 1 in the picture below) to remove the shooting "cannons" in the Foreground. This allows you to reach a piston in the Foreground (number 2 in the picture below) which in its turn clears the path to a Gold Ticket in the Background

Fort Wasteland

Again, do not Thin any enemy; Painting is fine, as it's always been.

More bunnies await you in the woods area, but first there is a new item available here where you start. The item is located in a new cave just underneath the giant axe, on the West side, so go there, open the treasure chest, and obtain the Chop Chop Pin (Pin # 40/176) from it.

Climb up the axe to proceed as you did the first time (use the second stopwatch on the ground to open the path), and then go herd the bunnies for The Bunny Wranglers # 06/08. Make sure to check on the ground level as well as on the ledges and on the trees above you (also don't forget to check the "steps" before the entrance of the woods, and the ledge above them) to find all of them.

When that's done, reach the Floatyard next (simply take the projector to get there; you should have obtained every treasure of this projector on your first go).

The Floatyard

Note: for your information, at the bottom of the area with Stromboli, on a small ledge, you can find Gremlin Kip now, who will commission you a sort of "quest". Please note the quotation marks: this is NOT an official quest, and has absolutely zero impact on any achievement or even any decent reward. His requests take time to fulfill, and the only reward will be 250 E-Tickets at the end. Since it's a waste of time, I won't detail this unnecessary waste of time any further -- don't even bother talking to him!

We need to return to the final area, but that's gonna take less than a minute to do this time since we'll head straight for our destination. It's faster if you take the route that we ignored the first time around (the cavern behind the giant Stromboli's left hand).

Once you reach the final area, deal with the enemy first, and then go reprogram the usual control panel near the transportation tube for bunnies (it's along the South wall). When that's done, herding the five of them into the tube shouldn't be difficult at all since they are all nearby. This is the last area with bunnies to herd for The Bunny Wranglers # 07/08.

There is still more to do here though. I'm not sure what triggers it, but there may or may not be a bunch of Fireworks on the ground level to begin with. It's ok if they aren't there, but we'll need a different approach in that case.

Approach 1 (if there are Fireworks on the ground level): ignite the Fireworks near the Northwest wall. Do so, and then go on the roof of the house.

To get there, co-op jump on the mechanical hand above where you are now. Then Thin the red nose of the clown face lying on the roof to reveal a control panel, and ask Oswald to zap it for you. This will create a wind current -- ride it up to reach a much higher ledge.
On this higher ledge, Thin the chimney to reveal another control panel. Activate this one too, and then drop down to the bottom level, where more Fireworks are now available.

Ignite the second set of Fireworks -- the explosion will spawn the Light up the Sky Pin (Pin # 41/176), and reveal the access to a projector screen. Since we didn't take this route earlier, let's travel through it now.

Approach 2: if there aren't any Fireworks on the ground level to begin with (they are stuck in the big mechanical hand Southwest), climb up to reach the ledge where the projector exit that you took the first time you were here is. From there, manually do a co-op jump to launch Mickey up on the roof of the house where Alice is stuck. Then Thin the roof of this house to reveal a control panel, and have Oswald activate it to drop some Fireworks on the ground level. Ignite these Fireworks, and they will be enough to break through the wall, revealing the Pin and the access to the second projector screen (which is your next destination).

Projector - The Old Mill V3

Right path and Left path. One run with the default character positions will be enough to get everything. Plug in your second controller when you start.

- Mickey (Right path): go all the way up. You will easily see the Gold Pin on the way up (it's up on the left side of the screen as you go up)
- Mickey: when you reach the projector exit, jump up and to its left to reach an unstable platform under which you can see a Gold Ticket. Under Mickey's weight, the platform will crack a bit, but not entirely
- Oswald (Left path): climb up for a while, and jump on the other side of the cracked platform to reach the Gold Ticket
- Oswald: stay on the Left path, and reach the very top of this area. At the top, glide from the highest platform on the left side to those on the right side to reach the The Old Mill V3 Film Reel # 13/16

When it's all done, exit to the Prescott's Arena.

Prescott's Arena

If you turn around and look East/Southeast, you'll see a giant pumpkin shaped like Mickey # 37/41.

Since we believe in equal opportunities, there is also, apparently, an Oswald # 27/29 on the South/Southwest side, below and to the left of a yellow-turquoise item.

There is a treasure chest that you can Paint behind the "other" projector screen (not the one where you just came from; the other one). Do so and open it to get 5x Bronze Pin. Then take this "other" projector back to the Gag Factory of OsTown.

OsTown

Since we're here, let's pay a visit to Ortensia to complete the quest The Bunny Wranglers # 08/08 and receive your reward: the Not Quite 101 Pin (Pin # 42/176). You may have to speak with her a couple of times, since the first time she will probably talk about Clarabelle and the quest Horace's Assistant Assistance.

Return to Mean Street South once again.

Mean Street South/Blot Alley

Buy the following items at the Mad Hatter's shop, for 25 Cloth each: Asia Costume, Africa Costume, Jester Costume, Manor Costume. These are the items required to complete Ian's branch of the quest Clothes Make the Spatter (Ian) # 02/02 in Blot Alley, so go give him these items to complete his branch of the quest too. He will reward you with the Spatter Stylish Pin (Pin # 43/176).

That's it for now, let's continue to Ventureland for more story and quest progression.

Ventureland

Warning: the next section of the story has a couple of missable things. One is the achievement Make Your Own Way, which requires you to ignore the advice of both Daisy and Smee. The other missable thing is associated with some quests, and in particular you want to know (or rather remember from earlier) not to Thin the character Scurvy Pat for the quest Horace's Assistant Assistance and a few extra Pins.

Just for the record, you could speak with Daisy in the DNN building on the left side. After her TV speech she will suggest you to use the Captain Hook's items to sneak in the construction site. As anticipated, you want to ignore this advice.
You could also speak with Smee on the East side of Ventureland, outside, who will suggest you to go to Tiki Sam's and pay him 500 E-Tickets to use his secret tunnel. Again, ignore this advice too.
There is even a third option to be honest, and that's giving the Hook's items to Smee, thus gaining access to Tiki Sam's tunnel for free. Ignore this one too.

While we're here, let's advance a bit with the quest Horace's Assistant Assistance # 05/07. Speak with Barnacle Jones (the fat pirate with blue shirt, near Tiki Sam's) and he'll tell you about Scurvy Pat owning his Compass. He suggests you to either "find evidence" that he took it, or Thin him and take the compass that way. Do NOT Thin Scurvy Pat, or else the quest will be incompletable!

Find Scurvy Pat on the North side of Ventureland (he's one of the skinny pirates with a gun) and speak with him. He'll deny having the compass, but shortly after that, if you walk away a little bit and take out your camera, you'll be able to snag a picture of him while he's looking at the compass itself. Take the picture (as always, make sure that the Mickey icon is green when you take it), and then speak with Scurvy Pat -- he'll give you the Compass now that you have proof that he has it.

Back to the main quest now. The way we're going to proceed is as follows:
- Launch Mickey up on the DNN building's roof. Oswald should offer to do so if you stay next to the building, on the North side; if not, use a second controller
- From the DNN roof, jump on the small rocky ledge (you may have to Paint it first if you didn't do so earlier), but don't jump up to the higher ledge where the Thinner pool originates
- From the rocky ledge, jump up on the wooden side of the duct where the Thinner is flowing (see image below). It's a very narrow landing point, but if you do it correctly Mickey will step on it for just an instant before slipping off
- Before Mickey can slip off, make another double-jump towards the wooden platforms to continue

If you just can't get it to work, try this other method instead:
- From the DNN roof, jump North on the small rocky ledge, and then jump further up to a ledge where there is a small pool of Thinner that then pours down to the lower level
- Reach the Northeastern-most point of the ledge where the pool of Thinner has its origin
- Have Oswald reach Mickey. He won't do so on his own, so a second controller is required. To get on the roof of the DNN building you need to step on the small stand to the right of the entrance of the DNN building (it's a small stand with some papers on it), and then jump from there to the roof
- Once Oswald and Mickey are reunited, from the Northeastern-most point you want to jump with Oswald, press the A button again at the highest point of the jump so he uses his "helicopter ears", then quickly jump up as Mickey to grab his legs, and then quickly use the second controller to send Oswald East
- It's very important that you try to land East on the main wooden platform, and NOT on the single wooden beam that stands out of the platform on the right side. That single wooden beam is a "ghost" platform, you can't land on it

Once you finally succeed to get across, proceed all the way down to reach the last hut, the one with the Pig icon (this isn't story-related; it's for a quest).

Enter inside to find Practical Pig, and speak with him now that you've found his two brothers to continue with the quest Creative Threedom # 05/08. He will ask you 5,000 E-Tickets first; refuse to pay them. Next, he'll ask you to find a violin: the Fiddle (bought from Tiki Sam's) and the Stradivarius Violin (aka "Real World Violin") (found in OsTown's lowest levels) are equally good to give, so if you have either one go ahead and give it to him.

Practical Pig will now ask you to "spread the word" of their new record. This would normally require you to go speak with the Telephone in Mickey's house in OsTown who will then ask you to paint all the Telephone Boxes around Wasteland, but since we already Painted all the Telephone Boxes you can simply speak with Practical Pig again right away to proceed to the next step of the quest: finding the two pig brothers again. We'll go find them another time; for now let's proceed with the story here in Ventureland.

Exit the pig hut and enter the hut before it (the one with the Tree icon; you may have to Paint the tree to reveal its entrance). In there, go left to exit to another area.

In the new area, as soon as you enter, if you ignored both Daisy and Smee's suggestions, you will unlock the achievement Make Your Own Way.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Make Your Own Way ~

Proceed through the cave to reach an open area. In here, you can glide towards the platform on the North side to reach Concept Art 26.

From here, Thin the rope binding the wooden bridge to the tree in the middle, so the bridge falls down and creates a path.

Then hop on the sawed-off tree to the South, and ask Oswald to use his Boomerang to lower another bridge for you.

Travel through the cavern ahead to find another trapped Gremlin for the quest Operation Gremlin Drop # 09/12, and then exit the cavern to find Pete Pan. You will automatically start a conversation with him and he will ask you to pay 500 E-Tickets to get through; refuse his offer. The conversation will also start the quest Much Ado About Blotlings # 01/03; this requires you to fix the crane and then return in Ventureland in the Epilogue. We'll take care of it in due time, as always.

You can find Concept Art 39 in the small shack East of Pete Pan's booth. If you Thin this very shack from the outside you can also find an Oswald # 28/29 shape on its East side. It's very hard to see this one with your own eyes due to bad color contrast, but if you use your camera you'll eventually manage to make Mickey's icon turn green, meaning you found the right angle to take the picture.

Before we continue, Thin the light-brown-colored wooden platforms below the three houses on the South side of this area to cause them to fall into the Thinner pool down below. Then Paint them back, thus creating platforms to go up and down whenever you want. Next, jump down yourself, and enter the first of the fallen houses (the Western-most one). In here you will find a treasure chest in the bottom-right corner of the screen; it contains the Blotling Booty Pin (Pin # 44/176).

Exit back outside, and from this same house jump Southwest on to the nearby wooden platform, and follow it to reach the bottom level of the area where you previously were (it's the area where you spawned two wooden bridges). Make your way to Northern door, while dealing with the enemies and Thinning elephant statues' noses to stop them from spraying water at you. Go through the door and you'll enter a small building where Concept Art 9 can be found.

More importantly, if you then proceed right into the next screen you will be in a backyard of Ventureland, where you will find, on the right, an Oswald-requiring chest containing the Mad Doctor Labcoat costume piece.

Then head all the way back to Pete Pan's shack.

If you didn't pay Pete Pan to get through, you can use the ink well on the right side of the area to either use invisible ink and sneak in from the left side, or indelible ink to get through the Thinner waterfall on the right side (you can change the ink type by Painting/Thinning items around the well). Use the invisibility ink option, so you can reach a treasure chest containing 1x Bronze Pin and then use Oswald's Remote + Mickey's Paint on a couple of gears to repair the crane, thus also progressing with the quest Much Ado About Blotlings # 02/03.
(In case you entered from the right side, with indelible ink through the Thinner waterfall, you can Thin the first box on your left after going through the Thinner waterfall to create a path to the left side)

Repairing the crane will open the way to the right side of the area. Proceed there (East) and Thin the wall on the East side to reveal a Mickey # 38/41 shape.

Then climb your way up and glide across a gap to eventually reach a control panel to Paint and reprogram, thus opening the path to the next projector screen. Go through the path to unlock the achievement Hard Hat Area, and then enter the projector.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Hard Hat Area ~

Projector - Mickey's Service Station V2

Foreground and Background. One run with the default characters position is enough to get everything. Proceed as follows:

- Mickey (Foreground): go right and jump on top of the cars being lifted from the ground. The first one in particular will lift you up to a certain point at first, and then it'll lift you all the way up, even higher, allowing you to collect the Gold Pin in the air
- Oswald (Background): when you come across the cars being lifted from the ground, jump up on the roof of the building on the right of the last of those cars. From there, jump and glide to the left to get a Gold Ticket
- Oswald: continue on the upper path to find a building with a switch/generator you can hit. Hit it, and the building will collapse
- Mickey: continue to the right. Once you reach the collapsed building where Oswald is, step on the large plank that connects the Foreground and Background paths. Make sure that Oswald is on the other side of the plank too, and this will cause the characters to use it as a sort of seesaw, where one character launches the other up in the air and viceversa. This will allow you to get 2x Gold Tickets
- Mickey: make your way to the end of the level, but before entering the shack with the projector exit make sure to step on the car being lifted just to the left of the shack. Ride the car up to reach the roof of the shack, and up here you'll find the Mickey's Service Station V2 Film Reel # 14/16

Then exit the projector to reach a new area.

Autotopia

In case you'll wonder, we're going to ignore Gus's advice about plugging the air vents of the pumps with random objects.

Go forward and enter the circular area. For starters, look up and to the left to see, on the West side, a light-colored piece of leafy wall. Thin it, and then co-op jump up the revealed ledge to find a camera sign. Then take a picture of the tower in the middle for The Encyclopaedia Wastelandica # 16/18.

Then jump back to the ground level, and step on the pressure plate near the tower in the middle. When the Thinner jet is approaching Mickey while on the pressure plate, simply double-jump to avoid it. Stepping on the plate will let Oswald operate a control panel. When that's done you will receive 1x Bronze Pin, some enemies will spawn, and a new passage will open.

Before continuing, go Southeast and look up to find another light-colored leafy wall. Thin this one too to reveal an alcove with a Gremlin to rescue for Operation Gremlin Drop # 10/12. He will thank you by revealing the path to a treasure chest along the Southern wall, containing the Firefighters Shoes costume piece. Go get it, and then go through the tunnel Northwest.

Near the end of the tunnel look for an open passage to the right, and then follow it to reach a Mickey lever to pull so that Oswald can spin-attack the gear that will appear, thus clearing the path to the North from the Thinner while also blocking the path to backtrack. If you need to go back for any reason, repeat the same process to revert the passage to its original state.

Head back into the main tunnel and continue North now that the Thinner is gone, into the second area.

There is nothing special about the second machinery here, so do the same as you did before (step on the two pressure plates, one at the time, to let Oswald reprogram the control panels) to receive another 1x Bronze Pin and continue.

Before leaving this area, check the Southern wall not far from the pumps to find an open cave where you can retrieve the Toy Race Car item for the quest Watch the Skies # 08/10.

Also, the drain pipes Northwest form a Mickey # 39/41 shape.

Make your way Northeast to enter another tunnel. Follow it while fighting or ignoring a couple more enemies, and then take the opening on the left side. After turning left into the opening in the wall, proceed just a little bit and then look to your right before turning left to continue -- on the wall you can find a Mickey # 40/41 shape.

Then go left and follow the path to find two Mickey levers next to each other. Your goal here is to pull both levers at once (one by Mickey, the other by Oswald) and hold them pulled for a few seconds. After waiting enough, the path will be cleared (but the path to backtrack will be blocked now, just like in the first tunnel; again, if you need to go back simply do the same thing again).

Continue in the next open area, and Thin the light-colored piece of the rock on the right (North) side to create a passage; then Paint your way to the third pump. Three pressure plates are required for this one, so do what you did before to continue (it's advisable to deal with the enemies nearby first, at least for the plate Southeast).

Get the usual 1x Bronze Pin reward, but before going through the new passage take your time to explore this area a little bit. In particular, Southwest you will find a couple of stacked-up cars that lead to an alcove where you can find a Gold Cloth and the last camera sign of the game. From the alcove you can take a picture of the third pump -- do so to get the final photo for The Encyclopaedia Wastelandica # 17/18, thus also unlocking the achievement Staff Photographer.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Staff Photographer ~

Now proceed through the passage that opened earlier, the one leading South. Follow it through, but before jumping down the hole make sure to snap a picture of the last Oswald # 29/29.

When that's done, jump down below and then head North (left) to find a treasure chest behind a car -- open it to get the Pearl of Wisdom, the quest item for A Captain's Life For Me # 02/04.
Then proceed back to the South and co-op spin the two gears on the right wall to clear the path back to the first tower/pump.

After a short scene, a new projector screen will appear inside the tower in the middle of the first area. As the scenes play you will also unlock the achievement Siphon...Siphoff...

~ Achievement Unlocked - Siphon...Siphoff... ~

Grab the Gold Pin on top of the Paint jets, but don't access the new projector just yet. Instead, go take a picture of Gilda, the cow near the projector where you came from (Southwest of this area), since it's the final picture for the quest A Friend in Deed # 06/07. This is also the last picture for the challenge/achievement Picture Perfect.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Picture Perfect ~

Although there are quests that we could complete now before going after the final boss, since we can't complete them all now anyway let's just postpone everything for the Epilogue. Ergo, jump into the tower and enter the second-to-last projector screen.

Projector - The Mad Doctor's World of Evil

Foreground and Background; one run with the default character positions will be enough to get everything. Proceed as follows:

- Mickey (Foreground): continue all the way to the right until you reach the conveyor belt section. A short while into this section you will see, if you follow the upper platforms whenever possible, a Gold Ticket in the Background path. In correspondence of it you'll see a lever in the Foreground with a cardboard of the Mad Professor near the lever itself; spin-attack it
- Oswald (Background): proceed to the right, on the ground level, and you will eventually stumble upon the Gold Ticket that you saw in the Foreground. When you see it, jump on the big grey rectangular machine on the left of the screen to ride it up, and then jump off to its right to reach another lever to spin-attack -- do so to gain access to the Gold Ticket
- Oswald: from the Gold Ticket, jump to the right on one of the car boxes that are being picked up and lifted upwards. Use them as platforms to reach the upper level of the area again, and then follow it to the right (make sure to avoid being zapped by the lightning bolts on the way) to reach the upper-right ledge where the The Mad Doctor's World Of Evil Film Reel # 15/16 is located. Unplug the second controller afterwards
- Mickey: continue to the right until you reach a big tank/jar. As you climb up this jar you will certainly notice the Gold Pin in the upper-left corner, ready for the take after a double jump from the top of the jar
- Mickey: shortly after that, as you continue to the right, you'll also see a Gold Ticket on a platform. Oswald should have caught up with Mickey at this point, so either co-op jump to reach it, or step with Mickey and Oswald on the two platforms on either side of where the Gold Ticket is, so the platform will lower and you'll be able to get it with a double jump of Mickey alone

Clear the rest of the level and exit through the projector screen.

The Mad Doctor's Attic

As soon as you arrive you'll be told that Jamface needs to be saved. Indeed, he is the last, missable Gremlin for the quest Operation Gremlin Drop. You'll also be told that you shouldn't destroy the Replicators, or else "bad things will happen". I don't think I even need to tell you what to do, since if it wasn't already obvious the game has also already shown you the control panel to Paint and reprogram to proceed as suggested. Make sure to do so, because destroying the Replicators will make you permanently miss some things.

Look down and to your left from where you start, and you'll see a Gold Cloth floating above some debris in the Thinner pool, Northeast. Go get it, and then Paint and step on the piece of train tracks next to it, where a co-op command should prompt to launch Mickey up in the air. Indeed, on a small ledge just above where you got the Cloth a moment ago there is also a treasure chest containing 3x Bronze Pin.

Get everything, and then proceed South while paying attention to the falling parts of the platforms of the Northern half of this area. Once you are safe on the ground again, check the left (East) side of the area to find a cardboard of some buildings, and then Thin the cardboard to reveal another Gold Cloth behind it.

While still on the ground, stand in front of the vault located South, look up above it, and Paint the two sacks hanging from some ropes on either side, thus opening a secret door above the vault.

Then go Paint some tubes/wires on the floor in the middle of the area to spawn some steps that you can then use to reach the first control panel to Paint and reprogram (it's up on a platform on the right (West) side). From there, follow the wooden platforms to the East side of the room to find the second one.

Then Paint your way Southeast to find the last control panel, above the door located Southeast. Paint the gears on the left side of the door and a platform will spawn in front of the control panel, allowing you to jump to it and reprogram it.

After reprogramming everything you will rescue Jamface. If this was the last Gremlin to rescue for the quest Operation Gremlin Drop # 11/12, you will also unlock the achievement Who Left These Lying Around?

~ Achievement Unlocked - Who Left These Lying Around? ~

Return on the platform where the third control panel was, and from there launch Oswald up in the air and glide with him to the alcove above the vault, where you will find yet another Gold Cloth and a treasure chest with 3x Bronze Pin.

Now that it's all safe and better you can also take a picture of the vault in the South end of this area, since it's quite clearly shaped like Mickey # 41/41.

Then speak with Jamface near the vault, and he'll open it for you, as well as give you the Ohana Pin (Pin # 45/176).

Enter the vault and access the last projector screen. You will just trigger a scene and then access the final area of the game by entering this projector screen, without going through the 2D level (you'll have to come back here in the Epilogue to actually play the projector level).

The Mad Doctor's Ride

Here you will fight the final boss in a two-phases battle.

The first phase consists of Painting/Thinning the red hole in the middle of the giant hand (I personally used Paint). He telegraphs all his attacks, so you should have no problems here. It's all even easier if you use the usual Watch Sketch to slow him down when you see an opening (after his "slam-the-ground" attack, or after Oswald zaps him with his Remote).

After dealing enough damage a short cutscene will play, and then the floor will start spinning -- make sure to avoid the Thinned-out portions of it, or else you'll fall to your death. Keep Painting or Thinning the red hole, and you will eventually trigger the next phase of the battle.

The second phase is fairly short: Paint or Thin the masks spinning on top of the enemy (the Watch Sketch helps a lot here, so make sure to use it), and then Oswald will go use his Remote to reprogram the nearby control panel.

After this, the battle may or may not be over -- I'm not sure what causes it to continue or end here. Anyway, if the battle continues you'll need to climb up a series of pistons and along a path to reach a higher platform where you'll basically have to repeat what you did on the lower one a second time.

After the battle you will unlock the achievement You Must be This Tall to Ride.

~ Achievement Unlocked - You Must Be This Tall To Ride ~

Do not turn off the console, and let the credits play (they last about 11 minutes). You will then resume the game in Mean Street North.

Epilogue

Mean Street North

You're given the Trust the Mad Doctor Pin (Pin # 46/176), and also a Thinner/Paint upgrade and an Electric upgrade.

Now we can mop up every quest and optional business that we didn't or couldn't complete before.

Let's start by finding Jamface (for instance, in the plaza with the projectors) and report to him to complete the quest Operation Gremlin Drop # 12/12, as well as get a 5x Bronze Pin reward from him.

Then enter the fourth of the projectors of the plaza, the one on the right side, which was originally the one leading to Prescott's Arena; it now takes you back to The Mad Doctor's Ride.

The Mad Doctor's Ride

You start on the higher of two circular platforms. Ignore the enemies here, and go grab the Snowglobe on the path connecting the higher and lower platform -- it's the last item for the quest Watch the Skies # 09/10.

Then enter the projector on the lower platform.

Projector - A Night On Bald Mountain V2

Left and Right path. You can get everything in one go because the two paths are actually completely connected at one point. Keep the characters in the default starting positions (Mickey on the Right path, Oswald on the Left path).

- Mickey (Right path): climb up. At one point you'll have to ride up a platform. On the right end of the screen at this point you can also find a ledge with a Gold Ticket far up high. You'll need a co-op jump to get there, so ignore it for now and ride the platform up
- Mickey: continue climbing up, and when you see a shiny rock on the left, push it left to extinguish a fire in the Left path which clears the path to a Gold Ticket
- Oswald (Left path): Oswald is probably just above the point where the aforementioned Gold Ticket is, so drop down to find and get it
- Mickey: get the Gold Pin above the next platform you ride up, and then stay there
- Oswald: from the Gold Ticket you acquired, ride up a platform, and then jump up and to the left instead of up and to the right. Follow this path up to reach the final A Night on Bald Mountain Film Reel # 16/16
As you pick it up, you will unlock the achievement Film Buff.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Film Buff ~

- Oswald: join up with Mickey (from the Film Reel, push the rock to the right and then drop down to the lower level)
- Both: it's not really worth the time, but if you feel like it you can backtrack on the Left and on the Right path to get, via co-op jumps, 2x Gold Tickets (one on each path) (you saw Mickey's before; you'll see the one that was on the Left path if you backtrack there). The one you saw on the Right path is a little tricky: not only you need to send Micky up in the air to reach the ledge above which the Gold Ticket is, but you also need to reach the same ledge with Oswald. To do that, ride the platform located on the left of the ledge with Oswald, and then jump and glide to the ledge. Then launch Mickey up in the air again so he can snag the Gold Ticket

After exiting the projector, use it to return directly to the Mean Street North cinema, and from there return to Autotopia.

Autotopia

Speak with Gilda, who can now be found near a car in the middle of the first area, to start the quest Rebuilding Autotopia. We'll take care of it right away.

Assuming you've rescued the local Gremlin earlier (if not, do so now), go through the tunnel Northeast and co-op spin the two gears on the left wall to open the tunnel further North. Follow the tunnel, and at the end of it you'll find Gremlin Stuffus. Speak with him to continue the quest.

Now you need to reopen the garage, as requested. In order to do it, run on top of the machine just past the Gremlin, on the right side, which will cause it to spin a little. Oswald should then automatically push the nearby lever, thus opening the garage in the process.

After opening the garage you will also find an Oswald-requiring chest inside, containing the Mad Doctor Shoes costume piece.

Then speak with the Gremlin again and give him 50 Scrap Metal to complete the repairs. This is still not enough to complete the quest though, and now he'll ask for 4x Tires to put on the race cars. You can get Tires from spin-attacking some of the cars parked here in Autotopia (not the wrecked ones). Only a few of them will give you Tires though; the others will only give you a mere E-Ticket. The cars I found Tires in were:
- The red car at the end of the street where the garage is
- The lemon-green car after the tunnel, if you backtrack to the area where Gilda is
- The yellow car in the same area (where Gilda is)
- The red car in the Northwestern area (where the second pump is)

Bring the four Tires to the Gremlin, and he will finally repair the cars, thus also completing the quest.

If you want, have a test lap around Autotopia to feel how amazingly bad these race cars are, and then exit the car with the B button.

You'll then be asked if you want to race "again" -- say yes to start what's easily the worst minigame of Disney Epic Mickey 2. In this minigame you need to make a full lap around Autotopia, while beating the time set by Gilda, three times in a row. You want to avoid the water jets on the side of the road, since they slow you down; instead, try to get the nitro boosts, although they are also positioned at turns for some reason, so you're likely to crash right after getting them (if you let go of RT, the button to accelerate, it's easier to manoeuvre the car after getting the nitro).

Thankfully at least the "record times" you need to beat are nothing special, and you can crash a lot of times and still win. The first time you beat the time trial you will unlock the achievement Race the Autotopia Speedway.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Race the Autotopia Speedway ~

If you quit racing at any time, you can find Gremlin Ruffus on the East side of the first area (speak with him to start racing again).

You need to pay 50 E-Tickets for every race after the first one, but you'll get 10x [seconds left] E-Tickets if you win. Most importantly, you also get 3x Bronze Pin for the first win, 5x Bronze Pin for the second (two laps), and the Pedal to the Medal Pin (Pin # 47/176) for the third (three laps).

When you're done with one of the most awful racing minigames in video game history, head back to the Mean Street North cinema, and from there to a series of different locations to complete the remaining quests.
