Walkthrough (Continued)
Mean Street North
Go towards the D.E.C. entrance (East side, through the tunnel), and up the ledge on the left (South) side of where the Fireworks spawn, to find Gremlin Jamface. Pay 90 Scrap Metal to do the necessary repairs for the nearby Underground entrance. He tells you that you need to come back before it can be restored though, so reach the nearby tunnel to the D.E.C., enter inside, then quickly go back outside to Mean Street North and check again to find the entrance to the next Underground section repaired.

Underground (6)
This is another "Turbines" area of the Underground. Do as you did earlier (Paint the machines on the wall with Mickey, then Oswald should automatically zap the control panels around the room). Make sure to also Paint the machine attached to one of the walls (it has no platform below it, unlike the other ones).
When it's all done, the door near the pipes you previously ignored will be open, thus creating another path to the main Underground area (as always, you'll be near the exit to Mean Street North).
The bars before the two spinning chests will also disappear now, allowing you to get one of these two chests. I myself got the Eradicator Pin (Pin # 14/176) from them. You might get another Pin from these chests, and this might happen if you made different choices at some point (destroying certain optional things, for example), so don't worry if you get a different Pin instead of the Eradicator Pin. I personally don't know what the other Pin might be though. Either way, the "other" Pin (whatever its name may be; let's call it "X Pin"; it MIGHT be the Handymouse Pin, but it's just speculation) will be available for sale at the Pin Trader. In case you obtained the "X Pin", the Eradicator Pin will be up for sale, so don't worry about it.
To further elaborate (feel free to skip this paragraph if you're not interested or you already understood what I just said), these two chests work like the two spinning chests in the vault area of the Underground, as we'll see soon. In that case, I know that the two chests contain either the Fixer-Upper Pin or the Demolition Expert Pin. In this case, however, I always obtained only the Eradicator Pin, and never managed to get the other "X" Pin from it. I couldn't find any other guide mentioning a different reward, either. Does it actually matter in the end? Not really, since the "other" Pin will be up for sale anyway.
When it's done, ride the transport tubes of this room back to Mean Street North.
Mean Street North
Hop on top of the Arcade shop and use Paint to fill the machine next to Gremlin Jamface here (it's the machine on the right of the control panel usable by Oswald).

Make sure that both the circular-shaped glass on top of it, and the bigger tank on the right side, are filled with Paint. When it's done, a co-op command should prompt when you approach the nearby control panel -- press the B button so Oswald can zap it, thus opening the path to the Hut, which is yet another part of the Underground. Once it's open, get inside.
Underground (7)
This is the other side of the big vault that you visited earlier (the other access is from the gorilla machine on top of the Emporium in Mean Street South). Take a picture of the vault from this side (it's Mickey # 13/41).

Then fill the machine on its right side with Thinner (you should have filled the machine on the other side, when you came here from the "gorilla entrance", with Paint), so the vault opens up and allows you to grab the Demolition Expert Pin (Pin # 15/176) or the Fixer-Upper Pin (this depends on whether or not you destroyed some of the objects/areas involved in the reparation of the Underground accesses).
Just like we've seen for the other couple of spinning chests before this one, you can't get the "other" spinning chest, but the "other" Pin (i.e. the Fixer-Upper Pin if you got the Demolition Expert Pin, and viceversa) can simply be bought at the Pin Trader in Mean Street North, just like the Pump It Up Pin and the Don't Know My Own Strength Pins for the main story quest back in OsTown.
Mean Street North/South
Enter the Pin Trader in Mean Street North, and buy the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit Pin (Pin # 16/176) and Big Bad Pete Pin (Pin # 17/176) for 6 Generic Pins each. You should also have enough Generic Pins to buy at least one, possibly two (and probably almost three) Black Bag worth 8 Generic Pins (the most expensive ones). The item you can find in the Black Bags is random, and right now there are three Pins you could find in the 8-Generic-Pins Black Bag: the Handymouse Pin, the Fixer-Upper Pin, and the Don't Know My Own Strength Pin. Your goal is to try your luck and see if you can get the last of these three, the Don't Know My Own Strength Pin (Pin # 18/176), so proceed like this:
- Buy one Black Bag that costs 8 Generic Pins
- Quit the shop menu; read what Pin you got (it'll tell you in the message box at the bottom of the screen)
- If you got the Don't Know My Own Strength Pin, it's all good; if not, press Start, then X to quit the game; reload (you'll respawn in the entrance of Mean Street North, but don't worry, everything else you've done up to the Underground (7) area included has been saved) and try again
The reason why we bothered to do this is because with these three Pins plus the Pump It Up! Pin we can complete the quest The Spirit of Wasteland in Mean Street South, which will give us also faster Thinner and Paint regeneration (which doesn't sound like a big deal, but trust me, it's worth it). Once you've gotten the necessary Pins, use the hot-air balloon service (Southeast of Mean Street North) to return to Mean Street South.
From there, enter the Museum, reach the last screen on the left, and interact with the last two statues on the left to receive your rewards: 2x Gold Pin, the completion of the quest The Spirit of Wasteland # 02/02, and the achievement We've Got Spirit, Yes We Do!.
~ Achievement Unlocked - We've Got Spirit, Yes We Do! ~
When that's done, ride the train back to OsTown.
OsTown
Since we're done with side quests for now, let's continue with the story. From here, use the turnstile in the middle of the broken fountain to reach the underground area, and then the D.E.C. 2.
D.E.C. 2
- Go right and jump up on the jumping-box
- At the top of the jump, keep going right to reach another jumping-box
- Instead of jumping on the second box, Thin the book on its right and go right past the jumping box
- Fall all the way to the lowest level, and make your way to the far left end
- On the way you should easily spot a couple of chests containing unimportant common items, but at the end of the path, above the second common chest, there will also be some platforms where you can jump to reach a third chest; this last one contains 3x Bronze Pin
- Backtrack where you came from, and when you return to the second jumping-box step on it to go up
- Ignore the pinball machine on the right, and jump to the left on a red horn instead
- Hop further left from here, on three cranyons that go up and down, and you will reach another spinning wheel after the first one near the red horn
- Have Mickey step on the right side of the wheel, so it rotates clockwise. By doing this, you will create a bridge to proceed further left to another chest. It may take a few attempts to make the wheel spin enough to create the bridge; make sure to do a spin attack before touching the ground below, if you happen to fall down, so you don't take any damage
- The treasure chest on the left has 3x Bronze Pin
- Jump back on the cranyons, and ride them all the way up
- At the top, jump to the right of the cranyons to reach another treasure chest which contains 1x Bronze Pin (you need to spin-attack the cracked wooden beams above it to reach it)
- Proceed right from here, jumping on another red balloon and then Painting your way further right
- Hop on the several xylophone-balls in line to continue to the right (should you fall down, go left and use the pinball machine to go back up (Oswald has to power it up first)); be quick since they will temporarily fall down after you step on them
- After going across the xylophone-balls, make sure to step on the small "target" platform on the left of the giant fat saxophone; this will make it play a tune and spit out a Gold Ticket
- Step on the platform just on your left to descend, and then go right and step on the jumping box to reach the Gold Ticket
- If you want, you can Thin the giant hammer located on the right of the jumping box you just used to clear the path to the right. Go right past where the hammer was (right and down); proceed all the way right to find Concept Art 32
- Go back to where you got the Gold Ticket, and then go a bit to the right to see a giant Bambi head in the background
- Stand in front of Bambi and a co-op command should prompt (if not, stand a bit to the left of Bambi's nose)
- Use the B button so that Oswald launches Mickey up in the air to a high platform
- Follow the path up and to the left to reach a treasure chest. In order to lift the cage around it you need to step on the small target-tile on its right. The treasure inside is 3x Bronze Pin
When it's all done, hop back down and exit to Rainbow Falls.
Rainbow Falls
Go forward to find Gus near a blue ink well. He'll tell you that this is a fountain of invisible ink, which makes Mickey (and Oswald) invisible after he jumps into it. The effect will wear off quickly if you run too fast though, and double-jumping or using the magic brush to shoot Thinner/Paint will also make you lose the invisibility right away, so move carefully to keep the effect on. Oddly enough, a spin attack (X button) will not clear Mickey of the ink.
After dipping Mickey into the ink well, head left (East) and then South to continue. Make sure to walk slowly since you need to keep the invisibility ink on Mickey to avoid being detected by a sensor in here.
After going through an open door you are free to move rapidly again (the sensor is behind you now).
In front of you now there is a door with a lock you can smash with a spin attack, so do that to open the way to another area.
Before going South through this door, Thin the door on the East wall (on your left) to reveal some Fireworks behind it, and then drag them towards the door on the West wall (on your right); then have Oswald ignite the Fireworks to create a path to continue West. Ignore this path leading West, since we'll get to where it leads from a secondary path that has a couple of more items to collect on the way.
Instead, head South (through the first door you opened with a spin attack) into an open area, climb down some ledges, and you should see Concept Art 6 floating near a green waterfall -- approach it, and a co-op command should prompt, allowing you to order Oswald to throw his Boomerang to grab it (if not, manually control him to use his Boomerang with LT).
Turn around and head as if you were going back to the door that you opened with a spin attack a minute ago. On your way to this door you'll be able to Thin part of the ground (look for a light-colored portion of the ground, where the rocks are like steps to the door). Do so, and look at the wall on the left side to find, underneath the now-Thinned-away rocks, a Mickey # 14/41 shape to photograph.

Go West from here now, and ride a "geyser of Paint" across a gap. Before riding the next geyser of Paint, Thin the light-colored walls on your left to unveil a treasure chest containing 1x Bronze Pin and a captive Gremlin -- make sure to set him free (Oswald will deactivate the energy field around his cage, then a spin-attack from Mickey will break the cage), so you can progress through the quest Operation Gremlin Drop # 02/12. Then ride the second geyser up to a higher ledge.
Here you will find some new enemies, the Sweepers, so make sure to take their picture to work on Rogues Gallery # 04/12. Be careful when facing these enemies, since they can throw buckets of Thinner at the floor where you're standing.

Deal with the enemies, and then Thin the walls on the right side (again, look for a light-colored section of the rocks) to unveil an Oswald # 13/29 shape to photograph.

Then Thin the wall on the left side of the fountain, so that some rocks collapse, thus making it easier to reach the top of the fountain, where some indelible ink can be found. This ink works just about like the invisibility ink, except it also makes you invincible (= you take no damage) while covered in it.
After getting covered in it you will now be able to proceed through the "wall of Thinner waterfall" blocking the way to the West side. Since there isn't another indelible ink source on the other side of this "wall", this means that you won't be able to turn around and go back after going through it. This isn't a permanent thing, however: you'll be able to return to the first section of the Rainbow Falls eventually (via projector screens), so just beware that you can't turn back around right away. Ergo, make sure to have done every important thing before going on, or else you'll have to write down what you left behind and do it later on.
Once you're through the Thinner "wall", feel free to shake the ink right off of Mickey with a few double-jumps. Then Paint your way forward, and continue to end up on a balancing rock. Before Painting another ledge and proceeding West, look up and behind you, and Thin the brown part of the ceiling. After doing so, go to the Northwestern end (= the end opposite where you came from) of the balancing rock so that its Southeastern-most end (= the end where you came from) is as high as it can be (if Oswald is also on the rock, throw him off the edge with a spin-attack or he'll just disturb you here), and then quickly run to the Southeastern side and jump off of it to reach the nearby ledge with a treasure chest.
Although this treasure chest contains just a few E-Tickets, if you re-Paint the ceiling you just Thinned you will also spawn another treasure chest, which contains 3x Bronze Pin.
While you're here, use the camera to take a picture of the Snow White incision on the wall behind the chest, since there's a Mickey # 15/41 shape on the right side.

After doing that, re-Thin the ceiling (now floor for you) to fall back down, and then continue to the next Snow White&Prince Charming door, which can be open only by operating the levers on both sides by Mickey and Oswald at the same time.
Make sure to follow the next instructions carefully. There are different ways of proceeding here, and it's best if you do it exactly as described.
In the next room (the "projector room") you can find the first "photo sign" in plain sight, next to where Gus is floating (Northwest). This indicates the spot to take pictures for the quest The Encyclopaedia Wastelandica # 02/18, and indeed you can take a picture of the colored waterfalls in here (as always, make sure that the Mickey icon of the camera turns green before taking the picture).

Nearby, still Northwest, behind the photo sign, locate a Mickey-shaped lever and pull it; keep it pulled until Oswald has done his part with his usual Remote. A scene with Small Pete will play now.
Head Southwest and ride the platform up to reach a broken pipe duct. Thin the ceiling above it to cause it to collapse.
Before going back down, also Thin the wall on your left -- this will reveal an alcove with a Gold Cloth.

Return to the ground level, and near here (Southwest) you will find a Mickey-shaped lever to pull -- do so to unveil some Fireworks. Drag them Northeast towards the usual fireworks-symbol-marked spot (it's near a blue fan), and have Oswald use his Remote to ignite them.
The explosion will make the ceiling collapse, but you can jump above and beyond the debris to access the room Northeast. Do so, and then pull another Mickey-shaped lever in here. Also do a spin attack on the valve in the same room.
The next one is the most important part. There is a pipe in the middle of the room, on the West side, with blue and white jets pouring on either side of it.

You want to connect the pipe in the middle with the white jet. To do so, you first need to lift the platform on the side of the pipe where the white jet is (the platform is between the pipe and the white jet). This can be accomplished if you Thin both the gears on the platform, which will then raise because of the weight of the gears on the other platform connected to this one (it's a pulley system). Note that the platform may not rise up despite having Thinned both the gears on it; if that's the case, slightly push the pipe to the left a bit, so the platform is free to move. When the way is clear, you can then push the pipe to the right, thus connecting it with the white jet (and not the blue jet).
When it's all done, pull the now-available Mickey lever in the middle (it may take a few seconds to become available); keep it pulled until Oswald has finished zapping the control panel, and this level will be completed. You will also unlock the achievement Projector Corrector.
~ Achievement Unlocked - Projector Corrector ~
Take the path to the next D.E.C. now.
D.E.C. 3
- Paint the big clock on the wall on the left to create an upper path to a treasure chest containing 3x Bronze Pin
- Now go back to the ground level and continue right, timing your movements carefully so that you don't get crushed under some giant shoes
- Push a ball to the right on a target-tile to activate a lift
- Ride the lift all the way up until you see a tree branch on the left with a chest on it; jump there and collect its content (just common E-Tickets and stuff)
- Go left from the chest, Thin a book on the way, and when you come to a jumping-box, jump up and to the left first to get Concept Art 33
- Use the same jumping box to jump up and right afterwards, and continue to the right, opening a couple of common chests on the way. You will also have to Thin a cassette to continue, as you travel on some cranyons
- At one point you'll come to a platform with a control panel; have Oswald activate it for you, so you can ride it all the way to the right side
- After the ride, keep going all the way to the right, stepping on a target-platform as you continue to clear the path ahead
- Go further right after the target-platform, and you'll find a chest with 3x Bronze Pin in it
- Start your descent down and to the right, and you'll reach the exit
- If you want, before exiting outside, you can Thin the path to the right, descend another bit, and then proceed all the way left to find another target-platform to step on. Do so, and a Gold Ticket will fall right on the platform itself. If you decide to do so you'll have to use some jumping boxes to head back to the upper level, and then work your way to gain access to the exit again (you'll have to backtrack left past a giant xylophone; it's all very intuitive, just a little tedious)
When you're ready, take the exit to Rainbow Caverns.
Rainbow Caverns (Devil Side)
This area is made of two separate parts, the Devil Side and the Angel Side. You can't go from the Devil Side directly to the Angel Side, but you can go from the Angel Side to the Devil Side (this is required for the achievement Fall From Grace, by the way; it's the last of our concerns right now though).
First of all, right in the entrance, on the left side, on the ground, there is a Mickey # 16/41 shape that you can photograph just next to some crystals near the wall.

On the right side there is an invisibility ink fountain, but if you Thin the crystals on either side of it it will turn into a much more useful indelible ink. Cover Mickey with the indelible ink, and have him walk North through the walls of lava. When you see a treasure chest in the middle of the "maze" of lava walls, open it up to obtain the A-Maze-Ing Pin (Pin # 19/176).
The ink should wear off at this point, but fear not -- just here near this chest there is a turnstile you can operate to completely clear this area of all lava walls. After doing that, feel free to kill the two enemies in here.
Head back to the entrance now. Next to the Mickey shape that you may or may not have photographed there is a beam up high, which Mickey can reach if Oswald gives him a boost up. The AI should prompt this command if you approach the area, but if that doesn't happen then just plug in your second controller and launch Mickey in the air.

Once he's up high, turn around to see an alcove with a treasure chest behind some yellowish crystals -- Thin them away, so you can collect the treasure inside (1x Bronze Pin).
Moreover, from here you can also take a picture (as you can guess from the nearby sign) of the Angel statue on the opposite side of the cave, so use your camera to do this too while you're here, thus proceeding with the quest The Encyclopaedia Wastelandica # 03/18.

Hop back down, and stick to the West side. Go North, and then Paint the large pipes on the left (West) to unveil another alcove with a treasure chest -- go get it to obtain another 3x Bronze Pin.
Now proceed to the North to an upper ledge; deal with another enemy, and then operate the turnstile on this ledge to cause a cave-in -- this will open up the path (Northwest of the ledge) to a hidden alcove where you can find the path to the D.E.C. leading to Disney Gulch.
Given that we don't really have any other options, proceed there, thus also unlocking the Your Conscience Be Your Guide achievement.
~ Achievement Unlocked - Your Conscience Be Your Guide ~
D.E.C. 4
Exit back outside to the Rainbow Caverns just a moment.
Rainbow Caverns (Devil Side)
There should be a new enemy in here, roaming in the previous maze of lava -- it's the Shocker. Make sure to photograph him to add him to your collection for Rogues Gallery # 05/12. To defeat him you need to spin-attack him twice with Mickey so that the red button on his head appears; then have Oswald shock him with the Remote, so you can jump on his red button. Then finally the real enemy will come out, ready to be Thinned/Painted. That, or just let him be after taking its picture.
Alright then, back to D.E.C. 4
D.E.C. 4
- Go right from the entrance, and Thin the wall to your right as well as the platform on the upper-right corner of the screen. This will make a ball fall down on a target-platform below, thus activating the hot-air balloon on the left
- Ride the balloon up and jump off of it to the left, so you can reach a treasure chest containing 1x Bronze Pin
- Head back to the entrance, and from there go left
- Use three jumping-boxes in a row to go all the way up
- Thin the pink cassette just to the right of where you land at last, and fall through the hole thus created onto a target-platform
- Thin the toy soldier on the right, and go right from here; jump across a small gap to find a ball
- Roll the ball left, and follow it down. After that, keep rolling it so it goes on the jumping boxes, and eventually lands on the target-platform
- When it's done, jump on the jumping boxes again and follow the highest platforms to the right to eventually find a treasure chest containing 1x Bronze Pin
- Jump further to the right to find Concept Art 34
- Jump all the way down from there, and then proceed up and to the right until you find a giant pinball machine
- Ask Oswald to use his Remote on the pinball machine to activate it
- Then jump up and to the left of the pinball machine to find another ball. Push this ball right and below, and then keep pushing it right until it gets launched up in the air by the spring at the bottom-right of the pinball machine
- It may take a few tries, but eventually the ball will be shot up, above and to the right of the pinball machine, on another platform. Follow it up there, and push it to the right onto another target-platform
- When it's finally in position, jump up on the wooden platform on the right (it's the platform just up and left, looking at the exit)
- From there, co-op jump to reach a higher tree branch, and go get the 3x Bronze Pin located in a chest up here
- Then exit the level
Disney Gulch
There are quite a few things to do in here, so let's keep count to make sure we don't skip anything. Although there is a photo sign right in front of you, ignore it for now.
1. First of all, go Southeast towards the saloon. Just outside of it there is a walking enemy. Although you came across this enemy (Spatter) earlier in the prologue, this is the first time you can take a picture of these guys, so make sure to do so to progress through Rogues Gallery # 06/11.

2. While you're here, Paint the saloon; you know you've painted it all if its doors open, revealing a ball (or Battery Sphere, if you prefer). Grab and drag the ball outside and West, down the ramp outside the saloon. The target area for the ball is South of the map, inside a machine that will then absorb the ball.

3. Head back to the entrance, where you can now take a picture of the saloon to progress with The Encyclopaedia Wastelandica # 04/18. Note that the picture only counts if the saloon was completely Painted (as always, if the Mickey icon turns green while taking the picture you know you've done it right).

4. Thin the big smiley cacti around the tower on the West side. When they are all Thinned-out, the water will turn to Thinner, the tower will collapse, and you'll gain access to the second ball. Unfortunately you can't reach it yet because of the Thinner around it, but there is an easy solution to this: re-Paint a few (three should do it) cacti, and the Thinner will turn back to "water". Make sure that it doesn't turn to Paint (Paint is blue), or else the ball will stay trapped (if that happens, Thin back some cacti). Now that you can access it, drag the ball to its destination as you did with the first one.
5. If you wish, climb up the fallen tower to reach Concept Art 40 on top of it.
6. On the West side there is a big cactus shaped like Mickey # 17/41 on the wall, so take its picture.

7. Ride the geyser-powered "rock-elevator" near the entrance, on the North side, to reach an alcove with a Gremlin to rescue (first you need to Thin some wooden bars blocking the alcove). Make sure to rescue him to proceed with the quest Operation Gremlin Drop # 03/12. Then jump back down to the bottom level.
8. Stand just about where the camera sign is, and then look up at the alcove where the Gremlin you just saved was. The camera's Mickey icon should turn green because of something that is allegedly shaped like Mickey # 18/41 up there, so look around until the icon does turn green and snap a picture.

9. Now approach the elevator on the East side. Wait until Oswald powers it up for you, and be careful not to leave Mickey under the platform of the elevator, or else he'll get squished to death. Before riding the elevator up, take a picture of the platform beneath it, since there is another Mickey # 19/41 structure to add to your photo collection.

10. Then ride the elevator on the East side, and Paint a chest in front of you to get the Sorcerer's Apprentice Robe costume part.
11. Still on this ledge, turn around to see another camera sign. This time, take a picture of the river to complete the first part of the quest The Encyclopaedia Wastelandica # 05/18.

Up here there is also a projector screen, but ignore it for now and go back down instead.
12. Go Southwest where the train is, and jump on top of it. Paint the wooden platform (Southwest) above the train, and then jump on the platform. Look up and you should see an object floating -- launch Oswald up there with the B button (hold it down a couple of seconds, then release, so he's launched up very high) so he can grab it for you. This item is the Soda Cap, a quest-related item (the corresponding quest, Watch the Skies # 01/10, officially starts in the next Episode).
13. Thin the posts supporting the saloon and also Thin its floor. Part of the saloon will collapse, thus opening the way to a blue chest inside the saloon itself (you can re-Paint everything after some pieces of the saloon fall down). The chest has only 1x Bronze Pin, but it's better than nothing I guess.
14. Lastly, get a Guardian from the small Paint pool here in the saloon (the Guardians are sort of "projectiles" that float around Mickey until he throws them at an enemy), and then throw it (by pressing RS as prompted on the screen) against the enemy on top of the rock in the middle of the area (aim at him from outside the saloon). This will make the third and final ball drop down, so you can push it into the usual machine, thus freeing the treasure chest in the transparent bubble on the train (the bubble doesn't disappear, but the chest warps out of it) -- open it to get the When Elephants Fly Pin (Pin # 20/176).
At this point we could proceed with the story by riding the train, but instead let's take a little break through the projector screens, starting with the one here in the Gulch (to reach it, ride the elevator on the East side up).
Projector - A Night on Bald Mountain V1
Projector/film reel levels are 2D levels, kinda like the D.E.C. levels. Also like the D.E.C. levels, they connect two areas of the game (a difference in this case is that every projector area starts and ends in the same place, regardless of the entrance point). In each of them you can find a Film Reel (getting them all is required for the achievement Film Buff) and, if you equip the Steamboat Willie costume, also a Gold Pin, which is a very nice extra.
Moreover, these levels are composed of two different paths, in this case a Foreground and a Background path; in other levels it's Right and Left sides/Higher and Lower path. By default, Mickey falls in the Foreground path and Oswald in the Background path, but you can change this before entering a projector screen. Now, if you look at any projector screen, you will see Mickey's and Oswald's icon on top of the screen itself. The character's icons on the left side represent the characters that will play in the Background path, whereas the one on the right plays in the Foreground. You can change the character icons' positions by performing a spin-attack (X button) on the gear of the projector screen before entering it. Some objects can only be obtained in the Foreground or Background path, but of course you can replay the same projector screen levels any time you want (plus they are all quite short), so feel free to play both the possible paths to get the most out of every area.
In this case, to get the most out of your two runs through the projector, you should make a run where you have Mickey on the Foreground Path and Oswald on the Background Path (default setting), so you can get the Gold Ticket and Gold Pin in the Foreground, and the Film Reel in the Background. Then you can make another run with both characters in the Background for the other Gold Ticket (do this second run-through on the way back from the areas that we're going to visit).
In this film reel you will find a few particular things:
- Windows that open and close over and over again: use them as stepping stones while they're open
- Bats and lamp posts: a spin attack at the bottom of a lamp post infested with bats will turn the light on, thus scaring the bats away. The bats will hurt Mickey if they touch him
- Boarded-up windows: use a spin attack to break the boards and let them open
For your first run through you can proceed as follows:
- Mickey (Foreground): as you go on you will see the Gold Pin above a lamp post with bats on it. First light the lamp post, then use a spin attack to open the barred window, and finally hop on the window to reach the Pin
- Mickey: continue going right all the way. When you reach a graveyard with ghosts lifting up coffins, go all the way right but don't proceed any further past the last grave with ghosts. Plug the second controller in now
- Oswald (Background): go past the graveyard section and jump on top of a building (just past where Mickey stopped) to find a lever up here. Spin-attack the lever to open the gate on the Foreground path
- Mickey: on the bottom level, go right to reach a Gold Ticket, now available since a gate has been opened by Oswald
- Oswald: continue to the upper-right corner of the screen, by jumping on three consecutive windows as they open. This will lead you to the A Night on Bald Mountain V1 Film Reel # 01/16. Unplug the controller afterwards
- Mickey: reach the exit now
On your way back you can play with both characters in the Background path, so you can reach a Gold Ticket before the tower, in the first part of this path, with a co-op jump.
Rainbow Caverns (Angel Side)
As you exit the projector, jump on the bigger ledge nearby and Thin the wall on your left (North) to unveil a cave with a couple of enemies (they may not be here though) and a treasure chest containing 3x Bronze Pin.
Eliminate the enemies in any way you please, and then jump to the East side onto some rocks-ledges that you can Paint as you go Southeast. As you follow this path of rock ledges you will reach a platform with a single enemy that you can kill simply with a spin attack that sends him off the edge.

Thin the wall behind where the enemy was to unveil an alcove with a Gold Cloth.
Exit the previous alcove, and reach the last platforms of this trail. On the wall East of the last of them you should easily spot the usual "clue" (the wall has a lighter color) indicating that it can be Thinned -- do so to unveil another alcove with a treasure, which in this case is the Angels Dancing Pin (Pin # 21/176).
Now backtrack to the entrance of this area. In order to cross to the South you need to have Oswald standing on the button on the floor while Mickey runs on the giant statue's sword after Painting it. On either side of the sword there will be enemies trying to Thin the sword as Mickey is crossing it though.
What you want to do here is to try and surprise the two enemies on the left (East side), by jumping on their platform from the rocks you used earlier to reach the treasures. If you can sneak up on them, a single spin attack should be enough to kill both of them by sending them off the edge. Then make your way from there to the platform with the other two enemies, and kill them too.
As you do this, you will also find the Fan, an object located on the platform where the second couple of enemies is. This is also an item for the future Watch the Skies # 02/10 quest, so make sure to get it.
You may also notice that the platform with the first two enemies has a camera sign on it; this refers to the Angel statue, but you probably already took this picture earlier from the Devil Side of the area. You don't need to take the picture here again, since it's the same one and only counts as one for the quest The Encyclopaedia Wastelandica (if you try to take the other picture from here Mickey's icon on the camera won't turn green, as a proof of that).
Once the path is safe, Paint the sword as Oswald keeps it horizontal for you, and cross the gap all the way South. On the South side you will find another button where you can stand to keep the sword horizontal for Oswald, so he can cross to this side as well (there's no need to, to be honest). You will also find a fountain of ink (invisible/indelible, depending on whether you Paint or Thin the surroundings of the fountain) on this side...not that you need it for anything at this point (its purpose is for when you cross back to the North).
On the South end there will be another projector screen, too -- enter inside.
Projector - Building a Building V1
In this case you have the Left side and the Right side instead of the Foreground/Background. The characters whose icons are on the upper-left side of the projector screen will take the Left side, and the same goes for the upper-right side/Right side.
To get the most out of your two runs, play once with Mickey on the Right side and Oswald on the Left side (default settings) to get the first two Gold Tickets (the one in the elevator and the one near the end of the level), Gold Pin, and the Film Reel; then on the way back play it again with Mickey and Oswald both on the Left side to get the third Gold Ticket.
For your first run through with the default characters positions you can proceed as follows:
- Mickey (Right side): climb your way up and to the left until you reach an elevator shaft (it's just up and to the left of the cardboard Pete on the way). Stay in here
- Oswald (Left side): plug in the second controller and send Oswald on the elevator above the one where Mickey is. Then, with both characters at the same time, spin-attack the bell inside the elevators, so they are sent up and you can collect the first Gold Ticket
- Mickey: climb up, and you'll easily spot the Gold Pin as you're on a platform that goes up and down, with a cardboard character that seems to be painting the background (it's on the right side)
- Mickey: climb further up to reach a platform with a lever; spin-attack this lever to summon a platform that you can then ride up and to the right. Follow more platforms up and to the right (you'll see a Gold Ticket below you; ignore it for now) to reach the Building a Building V1 Film Reel # 02/16
- Mickey: drop down and you'll land near the projector exit. Don't exit just yet, and instead go all the way left from the projector until you find the Gold Ticket you saw before. Again, you still can't pick it up
- Oswald: reunite with Mickey and launch him up with a co-op jump to get the Gold Ticket
You can then exit the area. The next time you go through this area, look for the last Gold Ticket available (it will be up and to the left of the path, before you use a jumping platform) before the elevators. In this second run you won't be riding the elevators; just make your way up with the platforms.
Rainbow Falls
The exit of the previous projector screen happens to be in the Rainbow Falls area, at the end of the level. If you hadn't unlocked the projector earlier (i.e. if you connected the white fluids in the pipes earlier, instead of the blue fluid), now the blue fluid surrounding the projector in the room here will be gone anyway, allowing you to re-enter the projector to backtrack. Spin-attack the gear of the projector so that both Mickey and Oswald's icons are on the left side, and then enter the projector again (get the last Gold Ticket on your way back, as we mentioned a few lines ago).
Rainbow Caverns (Angel Side)
Make your way back to the other projector (the one on the North end of the Angel side of the caverns). You could use the invisibility ink and cross the sword of the statue...but it's way faster to simply jump off the ledge to the right (East) side and use the rocks/ledges here to reach the North side. When you're there, go through the projector once again to return to Disney Gulch (for your second run through this projector remember to spin the gear so that both characters' icons are on the upper-left of the screen, which is the Background path, so you can get the Gold Ticket before the tower in the Background path, as mentioned earlier).
Disney Gulch
Assuming you have placed all the tree Battery Spheres in the machine to load up the train, you may now ride the train to proceed with the story (to do so, approach the train carts and press the A button when prompted on the screen, then confirm your intention to leave).
Disney Gulch - Part 2
Right in front of you there is a new enemy, a sort of "car" (it's the Rocker). In order to expose the Spatter hiding inside it, perform a spin attack on the front of the car to smash its hood open, thus revealing a red button on which Mickey can jump to expose the enemy (this is easier if Oswald shocks the enemy first, or if you use the Watch Sketch to slow him down). Make sure to take a picture of it, so you can progress with the quest Rogues Gallery # 07/12.

Then turn back and go about where you started, Southwest, and look down, off the edge of the area, to find some Paintable platforms. Paint them and follow this trail of platforms to find Concept Art 41.
Jump back up and check the Southeastern corner of the ledge where you are, and you'll see some more platforms off the edge of the main ledge.

If you follow this trail of platforms you will find a machine, partially hidden behind a Thinnable wall of rocks, that Oswald can activate to reveal one of the two possible paths to the next story-related area.
Activate this machine, and then jump back up on the main ledge once again -- the giant Jiminy Cricket's head on the North side will now be open, revealing a room with 3x Bronze Pin in a chest, as well as a projector. Don't enter the projector just yet, since it will take you to the end of this Episode. Instead, just grab the pins and head back to the main area once again.
There is an Oswald # 14/29 shape on the ground on the East side, visible after you Thin the ground a little bit.

Now we're going to explore the East side. Jump East on a large plate, and then on to a giant top hat. Wait here until the giant tennis racket comes towards you, and then jump on to it. For the record, although there is clearly a Mickey-shaped red pattern on the racket, this one doesn't count for the Finding the Hidden Heroes quest.
Anyhow, jump off the racket at the end of the ride, on to a giant alarm clock. Spin-attack the enemy here off the edge for a swift kill, and then carefully drop down the clock yourself, so you land on the large bronze pipe underneath and around the clock. Follow this bronze pipe clockwise, as it takes you downwards, to reach a Gold Cloth.
Return on the alarm clock, and wait until the large magazine-platform lowers so you can ride it up. At the top of the ride, Paint the rock in front of you; then jump on the rock to reach a ledge with another projector screen.
This second projector screen is the other possible path to your next story destination, but don't enter this one either for now. Instead, wait for the "spring" platform nearby to lower, and ride it up to be able to reach a treasure chest on a ledge above the ledge where the projector screen you just saw was -- open it to get the Construction Shoes costume piece.
Ride the "spring" platform back down, and then jump off to the opposite side to reach a blue Oswald-requiring chest -- open it for the Track Runner Pants costume part.
Lastly, there is a Mickey # 20/41 shape on a door on the right side of the ledge where the last chest you opened was, so take its picture.

We're all done here, so let's continue with the story. You could take either projector screen to reach the Mad Professor's Lab, but since we need to eventually visit both, we might as well go with the one closest to our current position, i.e. the one all the way East.
After entering either projector screen you will unlock the achievement Trailblazer.

Projector - The Old Mill V1
This level is again divided in Left side and Right side. Like the previous two, two trips will be enough to get everything important out of this level. We'll do one trip now, and the second trip...never, because honestly it's not worth it. The default layout (Mickey on the right side, Oswald on the left side) allows you to get a Gold Ticket, the Gold Pin, and the Film Reel, while a co-op of both characters on the Left side is required for another Gold Ticket.
On your first run with the default character positions you want to proceed as follows:
- Mickey (Right side): go upwards until you can see a Gold Ticket hanging from a hook in the middle of the path, where a large column is
- Oswald (Left side): use a spin attack on a lever on the Left side of the column with the hanging Gold Ticket, so you can collect the Gold Ticket on the Right side with Mickey. Disconnect the second controller for a short while afterwards
- Mickey: continue all the way up until you can find the exit, but don't take it just yet. Instead, jump up and to the left to reach the Left side of the level and meet up with Oswald. Together, climb up the Left side until you can see the Film Reel
- Oswald: in order to get to the Film Reel, use a second controller to make Oswald stand on the rectangular haystack on the left portion of the screen, above which there is also the Gold Pin (see image below)
- Mickey: stepping on the rectangular haystack will cause Oswald's weight to lift the other rectangular haystack blocking the path to the right. Once it's clear, grab the The Old Mill V1 Film Reel # 03/16 with Mickey and exit the level

In your theoretical next run-through with both characters you can take the Gold Ticket on the Left side with a co-op jump (look for it on the upper-left part of the screen, before the last jumping platform). As I said earlier though, this trip is just not worth the trouble (you'd have to deliberately return to the projector screen just for this reason, and it's not worth it).
The Mad Doctor's Lab
Please note that you can return to this area later, so the items in here shouldn't be missable. Still, try to get them on your first chance, now.
This is a three-phases boss fight. Your goal is to Thin the enemy's green parts until they all disappear, so the small enemy controlling the giant robot is exposed and you can Thin him as well.
There isn't much else to say, since it's a very straight-forward and simple battle. To make things easier, the game will also spawn health and Paint/Thinner supplies every now and then. If you want to make things even easier, use the Watch Sketch to slow down the boss and Thin his body parts even more easily.
Phase one - Just Thin the boss, nothing special to it (go after the green parts of his armor). The Spatter controlling the machine will be exposed after a cutscene.
Phase two - Thin his tail first, then the rest should be easier. There won't be a cutscene showing the exposed Spatter this time, so look for him after you're done with Thinning.
Phase three - There will be some platforms spawned by the boss itself around the arena. Follow them up, and when the path seems blocked by pipes and steam simply use Mickey's Thin to clear the pipes. Clearing the pipes will also cause some piece of the ledge above to collapse, thus creating a bridge to proceed.
Cross the bridge for a short cutscene, and after that turn around to see, quite in plain sight, the Lunchbox (this is another item for Watch the Skies # 03/10).

If you Thin the light-colored wall beyond the platforms where the Lunchbox was you can also reveal an alcove with a treasure box containing 5x Bronze Pin inside.
When that is done, re-Paint the boss (while dealing with the common enemies that will keep respawning forever) and have Oswald use his Remote on the control panels on the main platform -- this will ultimately expose the Spatter controlling the boss, and you can now Thin or Paint him to his defeat (either one is fine, but let's say you Thin him).
By killing the boss you will unlock the achievement Dragon Defeat.

Episode 2 - A Small Mystery
Mean Street South
As you start you will receive the Ring of Fire Pin (Pin # 22/176), a Thinner/Paint upgrade (Thinner upgrade if you defeated the previous boss with Thinner; Paint upgrade if you defeated him with Paint), and an Electric upgrade.
It's ok if you obtained the Friendly Dragon Pin instead of the Ring of Fire Pin (you do if you Painted the boss in the end instead of Thinning him); you'll just buy the Ring of Fire Pin at the Pin Trader (and viceversa, if you obtained the RIng of Fire Pin you'll later have to buy the Friendly Dragon Pin).
Before we continue with the main quest there are a few things we need to do first.
For starters, the Emporium sells some new items, but it's best if you don't buy anything except the very useful Watch Sketch Upgrade for 500 E-Tickets.
Read the entire next paragraph before doing anything in-game.
Enter the Museum (West side of the area) and speak with Laralee to start the quest Watch the Skies # 04/10, which requires you to bring either Laralee (the Museum owner here) OR the Gremlin Copernicus (located in the observatory of Mean Street South; it's the building on the East side, behind the Museum). Make sure to only sell the items to Laralee, and never to Copernicus! Also, do NOT give Laralee any item yet: we can also sell her the items of this quest for the quest One Toon's Trash (and indeed we'll do so later, towards the end of our playthrough), and then "recycle" the same items for the quest Watch the Skies. In case you accidentally gave her the first items, don't panic: there's still enough objects to complete the quest. Be very careful from now on though.
Exit the Museum and enter the Detective Agency. Speak with Horace Horsecollar first, then with the ghost Tedworth to start the quest Horace's Assistant Assistance # 01/07. For now, this quest requires you to get an item (or rather pieces of it) in Blot Alley. We'll get there later and pick it up on the way.
When it's done, enter the Underground from the main entrance (East of the Detective Agency).
