Walkthrough (Continued)
Mean Street South
(Feel free to disconnect player 2's controller if you hadn't done so yet)
First of all, Southeast you can speak with the Train Conductor to initiate the quest The Wasteland Limited # 01/06. Doing this will also add the Watch Sketch item for sale at the Emporium, necessary for this very quest.
Then you want to Thin the ramp near the station to gain access to a secret tunnel.

Go in here, turn right (West) at the fork, and keep going all the way until you reach an area with a flower bed. In this same area, on the East side, there is also a Telephone Box # 01/15 you can Paint (it's attached to the stone wall, far East). Painting Telephone Boxes is part of a quest (Creative Threedom; we'll start this quest later), so make sure to do so when you come across one (I'll keep track of them for you).
After doing this, go back the way you came from, and speak with Seth, the "male cow" in front of the entrance of the underground tunnel where you just came from to start the quest Finding the Hidden Heroes # 01/02, which consists of finding and photographing objects shaped like Mickey's and/or Oswald's heads. I'll let you know where to look for these objects, but first we need to get us a camera to photograph them. We'll get a camera in Mean Street North in a short while, so we'll continue this quest later on.
For now, keep in mind that at the end of this quest we'll want to give him pictures of Oswald-shaped objects, since they are the easier of the two possible choices; for this reason, missing or deliberately ignoring the Mickey pictures is perfectly fine, even though I'll still keep track of both Mickey- and Oswald-shaped objects. It's also ok (albeit unnecessary) if you decide to take pictures of the Mickey-shaped objects (I suggest you to do so, just in case/just for fun).
Also keep in mind that you won't need photos of all the objects shaped like the two heroes, so although a few of these objects/photos are missable and may become unavailable after certain events, it's really no big deal because there will still be plenty enough left to complete the quest.
There are a few buildings you can access in Mean Street South:
1. First one on the West side (when you are entering it you'll see a Scale symbol) is where Big Bad Pete is (it's a sort of courthouse/prison area with some cells); you can ignore this one for now.
2. First one on the East side (its symbol is a Vase) is the Museum. In here, speak with Laralee, the first character on the screen, to initiate the One Toon's Trash # 01/02 quest, which consists in selling special objects to this particular store in the Museum. This quest will take almost the entire game to complete, so for now just know that you can, but SHOULDN'T buy back the sold items; not until the quest is complete anyway.
The reason for this is that in order to complete this quest you need to have "sold-but-not-bought-back" a total of 20x items at the same time. "At the same time" here doesn't mean that you need to sell all 20 of them in the same session; what it means is that if you sell 5 items and then buy 3 of them them back, and then you sell another 7 items, the total items according to the game won't be 5+7=12, but 5-3+7=9. Moreover, and this is the real problem, you can't sell again items that you already sold and bought back. Therefore, since there is also a limited amount of items you can sell, don't buy back anything after selling it because it might prevent you from completing the quest later on. Once the quest is completed you'll be able to buy back all the items you have sold without potentially negative consequences.
Again, there are many items that you could sell, but this quest will remain unfinished for most of the game. Do not sell her anything until and unless I tell you to.
Still in the Museum, go left to the next screen, and then further left to the third screen of the Museum. All the way left in here you will find a floating spirit; approach it to receive the quest The Spirit of Wasteland # 01/02. This one consists in getting specific Pins, then coming back here in the Museum to examine the statues (statues = spirits) and receive rewards for having the Pins "required" by each spirit. I'll let you know when we can continue with this quest.
On the South side of the Museum, outside, there is another Telephone Box # 02/15 you can Paint.
3. On the East side of the Museum you can find a lift that takes you up to the Observatory, but this building will never be important for us -- ignore it.
4. The Northeast part of Mean Street South has two buildings you can access. One (icon of a Magnifying Glass) is Horace's Detective Agency, and is not important right now.
5. The other door Northeast is the Mad Hatter's shop (the icon is a Top Hat in this case), which is where you can buy Costumes. For now you can't really afford to buy anything (the currency for this shop is Cloth, and you probably have less than 10 of them), so ignore this one too for now.
6. Finally, Northwest there is the Emporium (Shopping Cart icon). In here you can buy common items in exchange for E-Tickets, but also more unique items. I advise you to never buy common items, since the game is easy enough without them. Instead, spend your E-Tickets on the Watch Sketch (250 E-Tickets) for now. Note that this item only appears if you initated the quest The Wasteland Limited.
If you can't afford it, climb on the roof of the courthouse/prison and check behind the water tank to find a Gold Cloth (worth 100x Cloth) and then sell the Cloth to the Mad Hatter's in exchange for E-Tickets; 1 piece of Cloth is worth 5 E-Tickets. This is normally a terrible deal since Cloth is much more valuable than E-Tickets, but we can afford to sacrifice a few dozens pieces of Cloth just this once.
The shop also has "Hero Maps" for sale for a total of 160 E-Tickets: these are the maps showing the locations of the "Mickey/Oswald-shaped objects" in Mean Street South, Mean Street North, Mean Street Underground, and OsTown. In other words, these maps point out where you should be looking for those objects. If you decide to follow this walkthrough you can actually avoid buying these maps, since I'll be telling you exactly where to look for them (the in-game maps don't show exactly what to look for anyway).
Now that you have the Watch Sketch you can go back to the train station to continue a quest.
In particular, stand on top of the luggage in front of the Train Conductor, and then press (and hold for a few instants before releasing) RB to activate the Watch Sketch. This will slow the flow of time for a short while, and with it also the wind coming from the fan up above the luggage. After using the Watch Sketch, press the B button to launch Oswald in the air, so he can then use his Remote on the control panel up on the ledge behind the clock of the train station.

Make sure to launch Oswald up while standing on the Northern side of the luggage, or else he might hit the bottom of the ledge with his head, which is no big deal in and out of its own, but it will prevent him from being able to reach the control panel above it. You know you've done it right if a short scene triggers, showing Oswald zapping the control panel.
This will reopen the train station in Mean Street South, thus progressing through the corresponding quest The Wasteland Limited # 02/06. Speak with the Train Conductor to report your progress and receive the Mean Street Train Conductor Pin (Pin # 04/176). We'll be continuing this quest later on, in another "town" of the game.
While you're here, jump on the luggage again and have Oswald launch Mickey up this time (a co-op command should prompt when Oswald is on the luggage again; press B while standing on it to make Oswald launch Mickey up). Then spin-attack the hands of the clock a few times until they mark 4:30.

After setting the time to 4:30, go to the fire station and Paint its roof to see a bell. Spin-attack the bell to ring it, and then Thin the front wall of the fire station itself to reveal a door. Enter inside this newly discovered building, which is supposedly Walt Disney's house, to find a Gold Ticket (worth 100x E-Tickets) and the Meet Your Maker Pin (Pin # 05/176).

There are several other valuable objects you can collect (other than smashing random stuff for common objects like the usual E-Tickets/Cloth), so let's hunt them down one by one.
Thin the Southwest wall of the train station to reveal a chest with 1x Bronze Pin (it's one of those blue&gold chests, so Oswald has to open it for you).
Jump on the top of the courthouse and go around the water tanks to find a Gold Cloth (you may have already collected this one).
Thin the roof of the courthouse to break it, and then enter the courthouse from the broken rooftop. You'll end up inside the cell in the middle, where 3x Bronze Pin is.
Thin the South wall of the Emporium to reveal a Gold Cloth.
If they are not already Painted, Paint the rocks Southwest/West of the Emporium to climb up on its roof, and then Paint a treasure chest on the top of it to make it appear.

You can reach the ledge where this chest is easily if use a second controller and make Oswald launch Mickey up in the air (when both characters are next to each other, press B on the second controller). The chest contains 3x Bronze Pin.
Thin the roof of the Mad Hatter shop, and then hop on top of it (jump on the blue mailbox-looking thing on the right of the entrance, and then jump off of it to the roof). Have Oswald open another blue chest (revealed after Thinning the giant top hat on the building) to grab the Threadbare Pin (Pin # 06/176) inside.

While still on the top of Mad Hatter's shop, you'll probably see another chest behind some wooden bars. We'll get it soon, but first Thin the wall on the left (while standing near the previous chest) so you can access a ledge where Telephone Box # 03/15 is available to Paint.
Hop back to the ground level, and Thin the walls above the entrance of the Detective Agency to reveal a Gold Cloth on a tall ledge. Do what you did previously on the roof of the Emporium, and use a second controller to launch Mickey up in the air so he can collect the prize.
East of the Detective Agency's door there is the entrance to the Underground tunnel, our next destination. Before going there, stop just before it, and a co-op command should pop-up -- use it (press B) to allow Oswald to launch Mickey up in the air, thus reaching the upper ledge.

Up here, Paint the machine and then have Oswald activate it with his Remote (press the B button when the command prompts on the screen to order him to do so). This will fix the generator/fuse box issue in the Mad Hatter's shop, and it will also make the fan in front of you spin again. Now that the fan is spinning, wait until a Thinned-out blade of the fan comes by, and then walk through it to reach the treasure chest on the top of the shop. This one contains 3x Bronze Pin.
Enter the Mad Hatter's shop and speak with the owner to receive the Hat Pin (Pin # 07/176) as reward for repairing the generator.
Lastly, near the entrance to the Underground there is a stream of water falling off the edge of the city, to the East. If you look down below you should see an opening in the wall, and before it there is a Thinned-out platform. In any case, jump towards that opening, and then Paint the ledge in front of it to reach a treasure chest containing the Student of Gremlin Architecture Pin (Pin # 08/176). You can come back simply by jumping off the ledge -- you'll lose a segment of health, but other than that you'll simply respawn in front of the train station. (There is a more legit way to get this item, but this method is faster, and it's your only option for a while)

When it's all done, enter the Underground.
Mean Street Underground
Go forward and deal with the floating enemy nearby (it's the Dropwing). Then Thin the two large pipes on the right (South) side of the area to open a nearby door where a common chest and a Gold Cloth are.
Look around to scavenge for common items (there are two common chests to smash, but nothing important is in them other than common currency), and then co-op glide across the large gap. In order to do so you need to launch Oswald in the air, grab his legs, and then glide across the gap as you ride the wind currents upwards.
After crossing the gap there will be another mechanical enemy to kill (remember, jump on their red "head buttons" to make the Spatter inside appear, and then Thin/Paint him while he's exposed), and the quest Operation Gremlin Drop # 01/12 will automatically start. This quest requires your to set free a total of 11 Gremlins from their cages. In order to do so, approach their cages, wait until Oswald uses his Remote to deactivate the electricity around them, and then spin-attack the cage with Mickey to set them free.
The Gremlin here will also hint something about a hot-air balloon transport service. You'll find this Gremlin in Mean Street South, just outside the Mad Hatter's, and also in Mean Street North, on a ledge located Southeast. In both locations he'll offer his transportation service that connects Mean Street North with Mean Street South, for a fee of 25 E-Tickets (first time will be free though). Although this sounds like a rip-off right now, later on you'll have so many E-Tickets that it will be well worth the price to avoid going through the Underground and its loading times.
When you're satisfied with breaking common items for currency, exit East to Mean Street North.
Mean Street North
As it was in Mean Street South, here we also have a few buildings to visit, quests to start, and noteworthy treasures to find. There are 3x Bronze Pin in a chest on a ledge you can Paint right next to the entrance to the Underground, Southwest (up and to the right of where you start).
Then let's have a tour of the buildings you can visit after climbing up the slope/rocks near the entrance of this area:
1. On the West side there is the Camera shop (its icon is a Camera). Enter in here and speak with the owner to start the quest The Encyclopaedia Wastelandica # 01/18, which consists of taking pictures with the camera in certain spots. I'll let you know when and where to take these pictures.
Starting the previous quest also gives you the Camera necessary to progress with other quests, such as Finding the Hidden Heroes.
In order to use the Camera you need to press the Y button, and then follow the instructions displayed on screen to take the pictures/zoom in/out. Make sure to check the "Mickey Mouse icon" in the middle of the screen while you're taking a picture, since it turns green when you are photographing something important correctly. If the icon doesn't turn green, even though an object of interest might be included in the picture you take, the game has NOT recorded that you've taken a picture of that very object. This applies to every single quest/achievement-related picture.
So, again, make sure that the icon is green, or else you're basically taking random pictures of nothing according to the game. Also keep in mind that there's a limited amount (six) of "random" pictures you can carry at any given time, but you have an infinite amount of space for the quest/challenge-related pictures (photos taken when the Mickey icon is green do not occupy any space on the film, so to speak). There is no real reason for taking random pictures, so don't worry if you reach the maximum of 6/6 -- it won't prevent you from taking pictures of the stuff that matters!
Head back outside, and take a look at the left side/behind the Camera shop to find a Gold Cloth.
2. Just a bit East/Northeast of the Camera shop, but still on the West side of Mean Street North, there is the Ice Cream Parlor (Ice Cream icon). This is just another generic shop, but you can (and should) buy the Melting Ice Cream in here since it will be useful for the quest One Toon's Trash, later on. This item will cease to be available after repairing the air conditioner on top of this building (don't worry if you accidentally already repaired it; there's still plenty enough items to sell to complete the quest. Be more careful from now on though!).
3. A little further North from the Ice Cream Parlor there is the Arcade shop (its symbol is an Arcade machine). Enter inside to start the quest The Other Side of the Screen # 01/02, which consists of bringing certain Pins to the character in the Arcade. You'll get the last of these Pins much later on (only after the final boss), so this is another quest that will have to wait.
Back outside, Northwest of the Arcade you can find Concept Art 3 behind some luggage (Concept Arts are optional collectibles; they are not achievement-related in any way, and therefore you can skip/ignore them).
4. On the East side there are two more buildings: the Southern one is the Pin Trader shop (its icon looks like a pin stuck in Mickey's head), but there's nothing important in here right now. We'll come back here later, when we have enough generic pins to buy some unique Pins for sale.
On the South wall of the Pin Trader there is Telephone Box # 04/15 that you can Paint.
5. Lastly, North of the Pin Trader there is the Cinema (Film Reel icon). Later this building will offer the main fast-travel service of the game.
Right now in here you can speak with the piggy on the right side to start the quest Creative Threedom # 01/08. This quest consists of several steps (including painting the Telephone Boxes around the world), but first of all you'll need to find the two other pigs after the first one (which is Fifer Pig). I'll let you know about the other pigs when we come across them.
Back outside, you can find a Telephone Box # 05/15 on the North wall of the Cinema.
Climb on top of the Cinema to find, on its roof, Telephone Box # 06/15 and a fuse box that Oswald can repair with his usual Remote -- make sure to do so, and then go back to The Usher in the Cinema, so he can give you 25x Scrap Metal as reward for fixing it.
Outside, Southeast, you can also find the Gremlin you set free in the Underground area; he offers the aforementioned hot-air balloon service that transports you across Mean Street North and South, but right now you don't need it, so ignore him.
Now let's take some photographs of the Hidden Heroes here in Mean Street North:
1. First of all, make sure to take a picture of the pipe at the bottom of the windmill's Southeastern part while you can, since it has a Mickey # 01/41 shape on it (the windmill is located just North of the Cinema). This one is missable, since it will disappear after repairing the windmill. Remember what we said earlier though: there's plenty enough pictures to complete the quest even if you miss some, so don't worry too much about it.

2. Just South of the larger plaza in the North, if you Thin the ground in some specific areas you can create a Mickey # 02/41 shape. You can see and photograph it more easily if you stand on the roof of the Arcade.

3. Jump on top of the Arcade roof, and check behind the building. You'll see some shadows near a fence; although they honestly look nothing like Mickey, apparently they count as a Mickey # 03/41 object. Check the image below if you can't see where to take the picture.

4. There is a big Oswald # 01/29 shape on the tower near the Camera shop.

5. Thin the ground West of the hot-air balloon service to reveal an Oswald # 02/29 shape on the ground.

For now you can put the camera away -- we'll continue photographing in other (previous and future) areas later on (there is also one last picture to take here, but we'll take it later).
If you climb on top of the Arcade/Ice Cream Parlor rooftops you can find a generator to repair to fix the air conditioner in the Ice Cream Parlor. First you need to Paint the tubes around the air conditioner; then have Oswald use his Remote to reactivate it. Speak with the Ice Cream Parlor owner afterwards to receive another 25x Scrap Metal reward.
Note: you may have noticed a second control panel on top of the same building. We'll take care of this other one later (it gives access to a secret area of the Underground).
Also speak with the owner again and buy an Ice Cream, since it's another item that can be sold for the quest One Toon's Trash.
Now you have two choices to proceed with the story: either pay 50 Scrap Metal to Gremlin Jamface (he's standing in the middle of the street, to the North), or open up the way your own way, which not only won't cost you anything, but it will actually earn you a few extras. I'll go on and explain you the alternative route, which is the one you should take as well.
Thin the light-brown wooden panel of the wall South of the Pin Trader. This will spawn 70x Scrap Metal, and it also opens up a tunnel ahead (continue through it with more Thinner to clear the path).
After exiting the tunnel, go left (North) and you'll find the entrance to the D.E.C., which is currently locked away though. There is a Gremlin nearby that offers to open it up for you in exchange for 100 E-Tickets, but ignore his offer. Instead, climb up the ledge West of where he is to reach an area where you can get Fireworks (pull the Mickey-shaped lever like you did before to make them appear). Grab the Fireworks, and drag them so they drop down below, to the East, near the entrance to the D.E.C.; then ask Oswald to ignite them for you, thus opening up the way.
You can also grab more Fireworks (just pull the lever again to spawn some more) and drag them all the way Northwest of Mean Street North to reach a metallic panel with the yellow sign of fireworks, just North of the Arcade shop. Ignite the Fireworks here and the panel will explode, earning you another bunch of Scrap Metal.

You can still pay Jamface 50 Scrap Metal anyway, even though you already just opened the "alternative" D.E.C. entrance. If you do so, he will repair the windmill Northeast, thus allowing you to collect Concept Art 30. Moreover, repairing the windmill is necessary to make the Locksmith Pin available for sale at the Pin Trader shop (not that we need it now; just a memo for later).
After blowing up the D.E.C. entrance and/or dropping down the windmill to reach it, inside you'll find an Oswald-requiring blue chest to open to find Part 79-B.

Note that Jamface will appear near the Fireworks spawn point now, and you could give this Part 79-B item to him. Do NOT do so, since we can sell it for the One Toon's Trash quest instead.
Moreover, if you grab the Fireworks one last time and drag them inside the D.E.C. entrance you can also blow-up some rocks behind which there is a chest containing a Gold Pin (worth 5x Bronze Pin) (see the previous image for reference on where to put the Fireworks).
When you're ready, enter the D.E.C.
~ Achievement Unlocked - Walking the Mean Streets ~
D.E.C. 1
Right after entering inside, return back to Mean Street North (press A in front of the portal near where you start).
Mean Street North
Head outside the cavern where the entrance to the D.E.C. is. As soon as you exit you'll be told by Jamface about some thieves stealing from a vault because of the explosion created earlier with the Fireworks, when you used the "alternative" route to access the D.E.C.; you will also be told that the prices from the Gremlin services have gone up +50% because of this, but you can collect five items scattered here in Mean Street North to amend that. The five supplies to collect appear as movable metallic carts that you need to drag to Jamface (you can find him near the windmill, between the Pin Trader and the Cinema, or even other locations), and they are located at the following sites:
- Near the hot-air balloon service (Southeast)
- Just Southeast of the windmill
- All the way North of the street (North end of the small square)
- On the left of the Camera shop's door
- On the West side, just North of the Camera shop, you can Thin a wooden fence near the metallic tower with the big Oswald head on it. A supply can be found at the bottom of this tower
After giving Jamface the five supplies and restoring the original price for Gremlin services, you may now return to the D.E.C.
D.E.C. 1
The D.E.C. areas are 2D sections of the game. Other than this particularity, they are fairly linear. Here's a step-by-step guide:
- Push the ball to the right to activate a machine (a sort of hot-air balloon with a platform)
- Jump on the platform on the right, and ride it up
- At the top, jump to the left for a treasure chest (nothing special in here), and then wait for the balloon to go back down
- As the balloon goes down, jump on the balloon and ride it all the way up
- At the top, Paint the items left and right and open up a chest to the right to find 3x Bronze Pin
- Paint your way to the right, and follow the path to the right as you drop down some platforms; keep going right until you reach some spinning wheels
- While on the spinning wheels, go left first, and drop to the left of the left-most wheel. You will probably land on a box (from now on referred-to as "jumping box") that will launch you back upwards, but if you fall down slowly and carefully while holding LS_Right as soon as you start falling, you should be able to land just to the right of the jumping-box
- If you manage to land right of the jumping-box, Thin the red "Gremlins" book where you're standing to fall down and reach Concept Art 31 down below
- After getting this item, you can jump back on the box to return to the wheels
- From the wheels you can Thin your way to the left (Thin a toy train; then drop down to the left; then Thin a pink cassette on your right to open the path to the chest) to reach the treasure chest that you could see left of the jumping box. This one contains 1x Bronze Pin
- To make your way back up once again, go left to another jumping-box to reach a platform where Oswald can use his Remote to make it move, taking you back where you were before
- When you're back, go right of the spinning wheels to find another ball; push it down so it lands on the target platform below the golden turtle, and this will create a path to another treasure chest with 1x Bronze Pin inside
- This is the last interesting item of D.E.C. 1, so feel free to take the exit below and to the right of this last chest, and exit back outside
(For the record, there are other common treasures to be found, for example a chest which can be reached if you Thin your way right past the exit to the lower level, but they just contain low amounts of currency, and therefore are simply not worth the trouble)
OsTown
After the scenes you will automatically receive the Fairy Sketch. You can toggle between Sketches by tapping RB; holding the RB button down will activate the selected Sketch instead. The Fairy Sketch allows you to lift objects up in the air when you use it.
There are buildings to visit and treasures to get, but first let's proceed just a little with the main quest. You're asked to fix the pumps in OsTown, and there are two ways you can do this: either by using the three regular pumps, or by using a single overcharged pump. You'll get a different Pin depending on the choice you make (the other Pin can be bought at the Pin Trader store later; it will be one of the "random" Pins found in the "Black Bags"; I'll let you know when to go buy it); in particular you'll get the Pump It Pin if you use all three pumps, or the Don't Know My Own Strength Pin if you overcharge a single pump.
I myself decided to use the three pumps normally, and I suggest you do the same, just in case. Their locations are:
- In the river on the East side of town (use the Fairy Sketch on it to lift it up, then shoot Paint at it to make it move while it's airborne)
- On the ledge/balcony on the Northeastern side of the roof of the building on the West side (the Gag Factory)
- Near the chimney of Ortensia's house (reach it by jumping on the Northern-most of the houses on the Northeast side (= Clarabelle's), and then make your way Southeast from there)
Completing this simple task will earn you the achievement Go With The Flow.
~ Achievement Unlocked - Go With The Flow ~
Now that this is done, a turnstile-elevator will appear in the middle of where the pool of Thinner was. Use it to descend, and then co-op with Oswald to "reprogram" a machine (this is a new ability acquired by Oswald just now) so that the door to another D.E.C. section opens up.
With Mickey, you can Paint some gears on the wall Southwest to open up another door in this room. This will show up a treasure chest "guarded" by some steam coming out of pipes, and an enemy inside it. Make sure that Oswald is AI-controlled (i.e. you're not manually controlling him with your second controller), and let him befriend this enemy here with his "reprogramming" ability (to do so you must go close to the enemy, and then ask Oswald to do so with the B button). Sometimes Oswald just won't do it, but you should manage to succeed eventually (if that's not the case, leave the area and come back for another chance since the enemy will respawn).
~ Achievement Unlocked - Get with the Program ~
Also make sure to take a picture of this enemy, the Hopper, since taking pictures of every different enemy of the game is required for the achievement Rogues Gallery. I'll keep track of them as we go (for now, this is Rogues Gallery # 01/12).

After reprogramming this enemy, it will spontaneously go operate the valve nearby to stop the steam in this room, thus allowing you to reach the red chest containing 5x Bronze Pin.
While you're here, take also a picture of the two sets of gears in the opposite corners of the room, since they look like Oswald # 03/29 and Oswald # 04/29 (yes, they both count separately).

Before continuing on with the story there are quite a few things we need to do first, so head back up with the turnstile-elevator.
First of all, speak with Animatronic Goofy (Northeast) to receive the Pump It Up Pin (Pin # 09/176) (if you had supercharged a single pump you could have spoken with Gremlin Prescott (near the Western building) to receive the Don't Know My Own Strength Pin).
As far as the buildings is concerned, the Northern-most is Clarabelle's house; there is nothing interesting here.
To the right of the Clarabelle's house is Ortensia's; go in here to find My Other House is a Castle Pin (Pin # 10/176) in a chest.
Head outside and speak with the Train Conductor (Northwest) to continue the quest The Wasteland Limited # 03/06. In this case you want to Paint the building where the Train Conductor is (make sure to Paint the front, the top, and the sides), and then use the Fairy Sketch on its roof to make the building "open up" in its full form. When it's done, talk to the Train Conductor again to receive the OsTown Train Conductor Pin (Pin # 11/176).
Now head Southeast, and Thin the roof of the building on the right side (the one further South than the other) to unveil a Gold Cloth. You can reach this one by making Oswald launch Mickey up in the air (use a second controller).
Then enter the building Southeast to speak with Moody. Exit outside and a scene with Gus will automatically play, thus starting the quest Thanks for the Memories # 01/02, which consists of taking pictures of certain locations and then reporting back to Moody. We'll take all the pictures necessary, here in OsTown, later on.
Note that outside you can speak with Rigger Greene, the pirate just outside the house where Moody is, to start his branch of the quest Thanks for the Memories (Gus even suggests to do so). You do NOT want to do this branch of the quest. It's fine if you speak with him and listen to his request; just make sure not to follow through with his demands (he asks for a picture of Rainbow Falls, for the record), since we'll only do Moody's branch of the quest.
There are three Telephone Boxes to Paint here in OsTown, too:
- Telephone Box # 07/15 - On the Southeastern wall of the house on the East side (the house that is constantly hit by a stream of thinner) (that's Mickey's house by the way)
- Telephone Box # 08/15 - On the wall on the South/Southwest side of town
- Telephone Box # 09/15 - On the wall on the Northwestern side of the Gag Factory
Lastly, there are four pictures to take for the quest Finding the Hidden Heroes:
1&2. The doors on either side of the Train Station have an Oswald # 05/29 and Oswald # 06/29 symbol on them.

3. Climb on top of Ortensia's house and carefully Paint/Thin the wall behind (= Northeast of) the roof to draw a Mickey # 04/41 pattern.

4. If they aren't already Thinned, Thin the walls of Moody's house to see a Mickey # 05/41 figure.

For more optional things to do, now ride the train back to Mean Street South (possible only if you repaired both train stations). To do so, simply speak with the Train Conductor here in OsTown, and pay 25 E-Tickets to get back to Mean Street South. Of course you can also backtrack on foot through D.E.C., Mean Street North, and Underground, but you can see how paying 25 E-Tickets is simply more convenient.
Mean Street South
At this point you should definitely have enough Cloth to buy a few Costumes. Head Northeast to the Mad Hatter's shop, and purchase the following:
- Steamboat Willie Pants (125 Cloth)
- Steamboat Willie Shoes (100 Cloth)
This comes down to a total of 225 pieces of Cloth, but it's worth it.
While in the Mad Hatter's shop, change into the Steamboat Willie costume (use the wardrobe on the right side). This will also unlock the achievement Dress-up.
~ Achievement Unlocked - Dress-up ~
Anyway, the Steamboat Willie costume will make you find a Gold Pin in the projector screen levels which we'll start to find later in the game. This is a great time to change the costume before going on with the story, since backtracking will be time-consuming for quite a while. For this reason, getting the costume on now, even if you won't be using it immediately, is still a good idea.
Next we're going to need a bit of Scrap Metal, which can be farmed right here in Mean Street South.

The farming spot you want to use is below the giant mechanical gorilla on top of the Emporium here in Mean Street South. If you hop on the hot-air balloon on the North side (step on its platform, not on top of the actual balloon) you will see some wooden beams on the North side of the Emporium (which is below where the gorilla is). Thin them, and you will now see the 15x Scrap Metal available for the take (to reach them, simply hug the Emporium building and make your way towards the alcove where they're located). Although 15 isn't exactly a crazy amount, it's also true that to respawn them you only need to enter a shop here in Mean Street South (the closest one is the Mad Hatter), exit back again, and collect another 15x Scrap Metal.
It's a fairly boring, albeit simple and reasonably efficient method (you should earn it at a rate of about 100x Scrap Metal every 2 minutes). Right now I suggest you to get about 500 Scrap Metal pieces in total, and that should be plenty enough for the time being.
Note: I am rather positive that you don't need to do anything to make the Scrap Metal spawn in this location, but here and there on the internet I've read people talking about Painting/Thinning things to make it appear. In case you can't find the Scrap Metal in the spot displayed in the picture above, try Thinning random parts of the Emporium building and see if that helps. Then again, in my experience it's always been there at this point of the story, no matter what I did to the Emporium before.
When you're done with that, let's take some pictures of Mickey/Oswald-looking things while we're here:
On the roof of the Mad Hatter's shop, behind the giant rotating hat, you'll find a Mickey # 06/41 grate.

On the right (North) side of the fire station, Thin the boulder on the wall to reveal an Oswald # 07/29 icon. At this point, if you have seven Oswald pictures, a message will prompt letting you know that you could go collect your reward from Seth. Although we could do that, there's really no need to bother until the quest can be completed, much later on. Therefore do not go visit Seth now.

On the left (East) side of the ramp of the train station, Thin a boulder to reveal an Oswald # 08/29 icon.

Thin the ramp in front of the train station if you hadn't done so before, and take the tunnel path that goes left (East). You'll see a Mickey # 07/41 icon on the wall on the right side, towards the end of the tunnel, where a cart is (ignore the cart and the nearby control panel, by the way).

There is actually another photo for Hidden Heroes here in Mean Street South, but you can't access it yet.
When it's all done, climb on the roof of the Emporium (Northwest), and speak with the Blue Gremlin here. Give him 30 Scrap Metal, and he will repair the gorilla machine nearby. When it's open (it may take a few seconds), enter inside.

Underground (2)
The first thing you'll notice is that the big vault door in front of you looks like Oswald # 09/29 -- grab your camera, and take a picture of it.

Then fill up the machine on the left of the vault with Paint. This will open the vault and reveal two spinning chests, but you can't do anything about them just yet. Oswald can also use his Remote on the control panel here, but this will only make the vault door shut. Therefore, just fill the machine with Paint for now, and leave it as it is.
Continue to the next room on the right and you'll see some tubes/pipes that can send you back to Mean Street South -- ignore them for now, and proceed to the next room, so you can find a Gold Cloth on the way.
After getting it, the nearby door will give you access to the main Underground area, somewhere close to the Mean Street South entrance. Since we're done with this place for now, just head back to Mean Street South (either via the previous tubes you just ignored, or from the main entrance/exit all the way West).
Mean Street South
In the middle of the street there is a hole with some water in it, and a big metal thing which is in fact a robot head. Speak with the Blue Gremlin near here (he will appear in front of the ramp to the train station, on the North side) and pay him 50 Scrap Metal to do some repairs. When they're done, enter inside.

The reparation of the giant robot head will also turn the water in the fountain to Paint. Just for your curiosity, in regards to the cart/control panel in the tunnels before, once there is Paint instead of water you become able to use the control panel to move the cart in the tunnel on the tracks. This makes the cart smash through the wall leading East in the tunnels. The smashed wall leads to a treasure chest that you should already have opened earlier, after reaching it by jumping off the edge of the street (it contained the Student of Gremlin Architecture Pin), so there's no need to go ride the cart anymore now.
After hopping inside the robot head, turn around to see a Mickey # 08/41 shape on the wall, and make sure to get its picture.

Paint your way forward (Paint the pipes on the left/right to stop the steam, then Paint a path ahead of you), and then have Oswald use his Remote on the control panel ahead to open a door to the Underground -- enter inside.
Underground (3)
This is the first "turbines" area of the Underground. Have Oswald zap the control panel nearby. Then launch Oswald far up in the air (hold B for a short while before releasing it, so you launch him further up than usual), and then glide with him to the right.
Paint the machine near the wall with Mickey, then Oswald should automatically use his Remote on the second control panel. Keep doing this (Paint machines and zap control panels) in the rest of the room, and make also sure to grab a Gold Cloth on the way.
Note: if Oswald doesn't use his Remote, spray some more Paint on the machines on the wall, and make sure that you can see the two golden gears in the middle of each one of them (sometimes you may only Paint the brown "body" of the machine, but the gears are left un-Painted). If you are in doubt, remember the "light bulb code" of the control panels: if all three are empty, the control panel is not usable (because the machine nearby has not been Painted properly, in this case); if all three light bulbs are green, it's already been activated; if the light bulb in the middle blips with orange light, it can be activated.
You will also see a couple of rotating chests (in case you're wondering, they are not the same ones that you saw earlier in the vault), but ignore them for now. Instead, just ride the transport tubes back to Mean Street South (after solving the puzzle you also opened a door near the pipes, but this one is a shortcut to the main area of the Underground closer to Mean Street North than South; you want to go to Mean Street South for now).
Mean Street South
On the right side of the ramp to the train station (Southwest) there is a closed gate that leads to the secret tunnels below the train station (the tunnels that lead to the bed flower, if you recall from earlier). It's not really important, but you can pay 10 Scrap Metal to the Blue Gremlin nearby to open the door for you (it's really just a little shortcut, but for that price you might as well get it done just for the sake of it).
Back to real business, on the West side of Mean Street South there is the fire station/courthouse; climb on top of its roof and speak with the Blue Gremlin up here. Give him 40 Scrap Metal, so he can open up a new path up here on the roof for you. Take this path down to another Underground area.
Underground (4)
As you enter, turn around to see a floating Gold Cloth.
Then look around to see a couple of things: a Generator in the middle of the room, and a blue-colored square button on the floor in a corner behind some steam pipes (Northwest). Here you need to grab and drag the Generator so it goes on the blue-colored square on the floor. It might be difficult to move the Generator out of the "circle" where it starts at first, but if you move quickly up and down you should manage to jerk it free.
When you succeed, you can Paint the valves on the pipes that are somewhat blocking the way to the blue square button, so the steam is blocked back inside the pipes. Then drag the Generator on the blue button, and it should automatically place itself in a specific position.
On the Northern wall of the room with this first blue button there is a Mickey # 09/41 shape.

After that is done, drag the Generator to the East side, where a fan and a control panel are. Here you need to Thin a couple of the blades of the fan with Mickey, while Oswald uses his Remote to make the fan spin again. As you can probably guess, the "puzzle" consists in taking the Generator beyond the fan, by passing through the Thinned-out blades.
Once you're beyond the fan, turn around to see another blue tile on the floor, and place the Generator on this second tile too. You will hear a noise, and a treasure chest will appear in the next room -- open it up to get the Foreman Pin (Pin # 12/176).
Next to the chest there are also some large pipes which you can ride up back to Mean Street South, but don't ride them for now. Instead, go past them and a door will open. Go through it and you'll find yourself back in the previous section of the Underground (the one you visited while going from South to North Mean Street), just a bit West of the exit to Mean Street North.
There are more pictures for the quest Finding the Hidden Heroes in here, and also two more enemies for Rogues Gallery, and I'd say it's about time we get these too.
You should find the robot-enemy (Blocker) just as you come out -- take his picture to progress with Rogues Gallery # 02/12.

Ride the platforms back to the West side of this area (the one closer to the exit to Mean Street South).
On the West side you'll find a floating enemy (Dropwing) as you're crossing the gap; take his picture to progress with Rogues Gallery # 03/12.

Still on the West side, make sure that at least one of the pipes is Painted, so the small gate nearby closes. On the gate there is an Oswald # 10/29 shape.

After that, still on the West side, check on the East side of one of the ledges to find a set of vents shaped like Mickey # 10/41 (the Mickey shape is rotated 90° clockwise).

Cross the gap back East with the floating platform on the left side.
Another picture of Mickey # 11/41 and Oswald # 11/29 icons can be found on the other side of the Underground area. Believe it or not, they were so unoriginal and lazy that they put them exactly in the same positions as the previous two listed above (so look for an Oswald-shaped icon on the door of the machinery on the South side, and a Mickey-shaped icon made by the vents on the West side of the ledges on the left).
After taking all six pictures, exit to Mean Street North.
Mean Street North
Head back to where the big metallic tower with Oswald's head on top is (near the Camera shop), and look down on its West side, off the edge, to see a door to a secret alcove.

In order to get there you must Paint a platform/ledge in front of the door, but Mickey's natural Paint does not have enough range to hit it from where you're standing. However, if you Paint the ledge as you're falling down you should be able to land on top of it safely. Worst case scenario you can always Paint it as you're falling down, then respawn, and hopefully the ledge will be Painted by the time you reach it again.
For the record, there is a more "legitimate" way to get there, and that's by paying 90 Scrap Metal to Jamface as he's floating around town (he can be found near the windmill Northeast for example). If you exit and re-enter the area after paying him there will now be some floating platforms that you can ride from Northwest (look North of the Arcade shop), and they'll take you to your destination safely.
Once you get there, take a picture of the door, since it's shaped like Oswald # 12/29.

Then have Oswald use his Remote on the door and access the Underground from here. In case you opened the door before taking the picture, don't worry: first, because there's so many pictures available that you don't need to take all of them to complete any quest/achievement; second, because the door will be closed again if you leave Mean Street North and then come back if you really want to (so it's no really missable).
Underground (5)
There is a Mickey # 12/41 shape on the Southern wall, opposite the control panel.

Do the following:
- Grab and drag the Generator around so it lands on the rectangular platform near the control panel
- While Mickey is on the platform, use the B button to ask Oswald to operate the platform, so you and the Generator are sent forward with the platform
- Use the Fairy Sketch on the Generator to lift it up in the air, and then shoot Paint at it to make it float across the small gap to your right (East), so it can then be moved onto a blue tile on the floor. You may also use a second controller and shoot electricity blasts at the Generator with Oswald's Remote: the electricity will not only lift the Generator up, but it will also push it forward

- Using the same method, push the Generator back on the moving platform; then wait for the Fairy Sketch effect to wear off
- Now wait for the right moment, and push the Generator with another Fairy Sketch+Paint/shot of Oswald's Remote across the gap
Now, honestly I don't know exactly how you're supposed to do that, and I found this part ridiculously complicated, but if you keep trying you should eventually manage to get it across. The way I personally did it was by making the Generator fall underneath the second of the two rotating platforms (the one on the right side if you look at the gap you need to cross) after shooting it with Oswald's Remote (better than the Fairy Sketch IMO, since it lasts much longer and recharges faster), like in the image below.

Sometimes the Generator would just fall down and respawn where it originally was, but eventually the rotating platform "intercepted" the Generator and lifted it up so I could then push it to its destination (make sure it lands on the second blue-square button on the floor).
After you succeed you will find a treasure chest on the other side of this area, which contains the Urban Renewal Pin (Pin # 13/176). After getting it, don't ride the tubes up to Mean Street North again because they'll take you back to where you entered this section of the Underground (which means you can't get back up unless you paid Jamface to create the platforms earlier). Instead, proceed North through a door to return to the main Underground area once again, and then go East from here to return to Mean Street North.
