  1. Skins:
    Log in to your account at minecraft.net. A new link will appear at the top called "Profile." Click that. You'll see a text box where the filename for the skin should go. Click Browse and navigate to the skin on your computer. Once done, click "Upload image".

    Texture packs:
    Run Minecraft, and click "Mods and Texture Packs". At the bottom, click "Open texture pack folder." Put your texture packs in there.

  1. CaRmAgE is correct. Although some texture packs require a manual installation meaning that you'll need to copy and past the files in the right locations.

  2. And if your using 32x32 (and above)Texture Packs you need to use xau's texture patcher..
