Completion List

Trophies

Here's a lovely chart of all the trophies in the game. Many of these you'll get as a matter of normal course going through the game and going for 100% Completion. Many I've just given the name and description and left it at that. Several, though, require a bit more thought and execution, so I've included notes as to how to take care of them.

There are eight missable trophies in this game, or more correctly, through the course of the story. I've provided details in the walkthrough about how to get them, and I've also provided vague hints in the FAQ section. I'll also provide the means right here in this section as well, just so all bases are covered.

NameTypeDescription
Where It All BeganPlatinumObtain all other trophies.
Nostalgic for the 80sBronzeVisit Kamurocho in December 1988.
New Allies, New FoesBronzeComplete Chapter 2.
Rich TasteBronzeMissable: Treat a homeless man to a 20,000 bottle of booze.
Notes: In Chapter 2, when the homeless guys collectively ask you for alcohol, one asks for champagne. Instead of giving him regular champagne, buy some Gold Champagne from Don Quijote.
A Matter of Life or DeathBronzeComplete Chapter 4.
Smooth CriminalBronzeMissable: Successfully negotiate ideal terms with Yamagata.
Notes: In Chapter 3, before you go to Odyssey at the beginning, Majima has the idea to scout around. First, you'll have to speak or listen to three people before going to the club itself. There's a man in a green jacket on Bishamon Bridge, a woman in a green coat southeast of Le Marche, and a pair of businessmen south of Odyssey itself. Once you listen to all three, Majima will suggest going to the club. Once inside the club, Majima will have some time to look around in first-person view. Try to ignore the gyrating Mr. Libido and instead "look" (use the X button) at each of the three tables on the other side of the room (two have people sitting, one is empty), and also look at the table to your immediate left with people sitting at it. If you've done everything correctly, then the trophy will appear a short ways into Chapter 4 after your floor manager speaks to you.
Time to Say GoodbyeBronzeComplete Chapter 6.
Business Etiquette 101BronzeMissable: Impress Oda with your perfect manners.
Notes: In Chapter 5, when Oda asks you to meet him at Cafe Alps, it's to have a meeting with a client. Once inside, he'll ask you to take point. First, make sure you sit in the table "near the back" (not at the wall). Next, select the "nearest chair" to sit in. When the waiter approaches you before the client shows up. Order "nothing". When the client shows up, you'll have a quick-time event. Pass it and you'll get the trophy shortly thereafter.
When It All Goes WrongBronzeComplete Chapter 8.
Best Served Cold?BronzeMissable: Take more than 15 minutes brining the takoyaki.
Notes: At a point in Chapter 7, Majima will offer to get Makoto some takoyaki. Go buy some from Magutako. Majima will mention getting back before it gets cold. Wait around for fifteen minutes and it will get cold and you'll get the trophy.
The Big RevealBronzeComplete Chapter 10.
It Takes TwoBronzeMissable: Defeat 3 foes using co-op moves with Oda or Tachibana.
Notes: In Chapter 10, you'll fight through the Tojo HQ alongside Oda and Tachibana. Over the course of the battle, watch for Oda or Tachibana to grab enemies. When they do, use a Heat Action next to them. You'll need to do this three times.
A Familiar NameBronzeComplete Chapter 12.
They Won't MindBronzeMissable: Steal Nikkyo Consortium funds from their safe.
Notes: In Chapter 12, during the fight through the Benten Inn, you'll go up to the second floor. At the end of the second floor is another flight of steps leading up to the boss fight. Before going up those, search behind the furniture to find two safes tucked into a corner. Grab and smash both of these safes.
Painful ReunionBronzeComplete Chapter 14.
Big Hair in the CrosshairsBronzeMissable: vDefeat the yakuza with an afro on the highway.
Notes: In Chapter 13, you'll be in a car chase shooting back at yakuza. About halfway through the shootout, you'll shoot at a bike coming up behind you, and then another vehicle will be right after it, with a yakuza with a flashing suit and a big afro. He's not hard to spot, but he doesn't hang around for long either. Hold down L1 to use Heat Eye to take him out quickly.
Lamb in the Lion's DenBronzeComplete Chapter 16.
Hitting the BottleBronzeMissable: Suffer the full force of Reina's attack.
Notes: In Chapter 15, during Majima's fight with Nishikiyama in Serena, you'll have a cutscene where Reina will take a swing at you with a wine bottle. You need to FAIL this quick-time event and get smacked with it in order to get the trophy.
Awakened and UnleashedSilverComplete the Final Chapter.
Stuff of LegendGoldComplete the main story on Legend difficulty.
Notes: This unlocks after you complete the game once.
President KiryuBronzeGet started with Real Estate Royale.

A Host of HostessesBronzeGet started with Cabaret Club Czar.
Talk of the TownBronzeGet over 1,000 fans in any area.

PerfectionistGoldGet 100% on your Completion List.
Tell Me a StoryBronzeComplete 10 substories.

Lucky StarBronzeGet a top-grade item from a Dream Machine.
Notes: I'm pretty sure this can only be done from a million yen Dream Machine. If you get a Pocket Circuit Part or a Material for crafting, it's probably what you need. This is pretty much luck, though. Just keep using Dream Machines.
Generosity of StrangersBronzeAfter you become undisputed king of an area, get someone to light a cigarette for you on the street.
Notes: Once you start conquering areas in Real Estate Royale, you'll start seeing businessmen who will bow to you on the street. Stand in front of them until Kiryu stops to think about his next objective. He'll pull out a cigarette and they'll light it. You can find one pretty easily next to the big gate at the south end of Tenkaichi.
Just Beat ItSilverComplete all Climax Battles.
Amon DefeatedSilverDefeat So and Jo Amon
Training in StyleBronzeComplete one training mission with each master.
A Wise InvestmentBronzePurchase ten or more abilities.
Master of StyleSilverObtain all abilities for every style.
Notes: Just the six main styles. You don't have to pump money into the Legend Styles for this trophy.
Whip It GoodBronzeGet five or more play bonuses fighting a single enemy.
Mr. Shakedown TakedownBronzeDefeat Mr. Shakedown for the first time.
Welcome to the JungleBronzeGet the best weapon search results report.

PrizefighterBronzeDefeat 30 or more opponents in Endless Rout.
What a PlayerBronzePlay every minigame.
Call MeBronzeGo on a date with a girl you met at the telephone club.

The Dragon of Pocket CircuitBronzeWin all Pocket Circuit races.
CyricZ started writing to get all the thoughts in his head about video games onto paper and it got out of hand.
