Description: Patients register here after arriving at the hospital. Every journey begins somewhere...

Design Notes: The hospital can also function with a Reception desk, however, this will be much more efficient after an initial start as it can hold multiple assistants in one area.

GP's Office
The room from which patients are directed to treatment or further diagnosis rooms, required in every hospital.

Description:
Diagnosis, consultation and basic human interaction. Patients must visit a GP at each stage of diagnosis. The GP decides where to send them next.

A 3x3 office can easily reach Level 4 Room Prestige between combination of decorative objects and a few tasteful wall decorations.


General Diagnosis Room
Basic diagnosis and treatment room, staffed by a Nurse with preference for Diagnosis

Description: Basic Diagnosis. For scanning and reflex checks.

Basic Diagnosis. Making sick people run could produce some interesting, and maybe even useful, results

You can add exercise equipment with later Kudosh - good for staff stress reilef. The cheerleading emotions from the nurses are well worth a gander.


Ward
Basic diagnosis and treatment room, staffed by a Nurse with preference for the Ward Management, Diagnosis, or Treatment skills

Description:
Cures and Diagnoses a range of illnesses. Like a B&B without the breakfast.
Base Cost:

Design Notes:
- Works as both a diagnosis and treatment room, can have multiple nurses staffing the room
- Patients will queue for the Screen if they need to change, this can cause bottlenecks in your treatment
- I roughly use a ratio of one screen to every three beds - that seems to keep a good grip on things.


Psychiatry

The funny farm in room form. Useful for diagnosing and curing several funnies.

Staffed By: Doctor with Psychiatry Qualification
Description: Cure a diagnoses a range of Psychiatric illnesses. Treats ailments of the mind.
Base Cost: $6,100
Minimum Size: 3x3
Design Notes: Build two instead of one every time you plop it in your hospital. It'll get used that fast.

Staff Room
A much necessary place for your staff to recharge their Stamina and Happiness.

Description: Staff relax here when on a break. Place someone here to make them take a break.

Design Notes: There's a lot of extra items for purchase with some Kudosh. Use 'em.

Toilets
Very important to good hygiene - Without these, (or good access to these) - patients and staff will urinate or defecate in the corridors, leaving a gross and unhygenic mess behind for your janitors to deal with!

- In general, a 4x4 room size should be adequate for most hospital layouts - your later levels may require larger.
- The jury is still out on whether the hand driers are efficient or not - most people seem to do better with only adding sinks.
- Don't forget fancy canvases, small Air Cons and Radiators to keep the toilets attractive, as plants can be rather difficult to place in.
- Sometimes toilets will glitch up and jam - be sure to have your janitors periodically unblock them manually if that seems to be the case

Training Room
The room that takes your hospital and its staff places....good places!

Description: Teach staff new qualifications. Start a training course by dropping a member of staff here or selecting a lectern, picking which qualification you want to teach, the adding trainees.

Research Room

Allows Research-qualified doctors to carry out research for new machines, upgrades to machines, and extra Kudosh/money. One of the most useful rooms in the game.

Description: Launch research projects to design new types of equipment, and become better at diagnosing and curing illnesses. Start a research project by selecting a research pod and choosing a project.

A trendy office to keep your hospital front and center in the populace's mind

Description: Run marketing campaigns to improve hospital reputation, attract patients with particular illnesses and staff of certain types. Start a marketing campaign by selecting a marketing table and choosing a campaign.

A nice place for staff and patients alike to get their fill of food and drink.

Description:
Cures a range of bone-related injuries. There's nothing so broken that pâpier-maché won't help.

Design Notes:

- Similar to a ward, you can place multiple beds (though they are much bigger in size). They also require the use of the Plaster Caster object, which you can build multiples of in the same room.
- In general, one of the slowest treatment rooms in the game: it seems pretty routine for patients to be unhappy or in low health by the time they get in bed.



Injection Room
Treats Rock Bottom, Mood ?, staffed by a Nurse, with preference for Injection Management and Treatment Skill
