New Game Concepts:
Disasters - Electrical Storms
Due to its proximity to the power plant, your hospital will occasionally deal with Electrical Storms, which will randomly hit certain tiles of your hospital effectively frying anything there (patient or machine), as well as earthquakes, which will shake up your machines real good. In both cases, patients and staff will go running for their lives! As such,make sure you have janitors trained in Maintenance ready to go.

Initial Blurb:
The Melt Downs Power Plant seems to be experiencing some 'technical difficulties'. Bungle Technologies, owners of the power plant, have put out a press release saying everything is fine, no need to panic. The very same day they also evacuated this nearby hospital. Apparently an experiment in their research department went awry. Mayor Windsock has asked if we could take over. We found some intriguing research papers scattered around, maybe we should continue their work?

Looks like the place needs a bit of a tidy up first. Also, rumour has it that there are some very strange patients showing up in the local area. Erm, good luck!

Level Notes
This level has three major frustrating features going for it. However, its industrial character, messy playing field, and DNA quirkiness do make it one of the more memorable levels.

Keep the following three challenges in mind as you build:

  1. The building designs are awkward with many narrow corridors and relatively spots to fit a 4x4 room - as such, you will probably find yourself breaking normal habits with room design in order to accommodate everything.
  2. The DNA Lab, while very useful, often gets clogged with patients for Diagnosis - this can be especially frustrating when you're trying to cure DNA Lab patients who may be at low health, requiring you to periodically check and re-prioritize the queues.
  3. The frequent disasters will keep your janitors very busy.

Also....

  • DNA Lab patients are some of the hardest in the game, as such, make sure you provide your staff with extra Treatment qualifications, and keep your research team working on the upgrades to the aptly-named Healixer.
