Initial Blurb:
Welcome to the heart of the city. This is it, our toughest challenge yet. Thousands of people flood through Croquembouche every day. At least half of them are sick, in my opinion. The tower of Jumbo Mega Corporation looms in the distance. Jumbo Healthcare have dominated for too long. If we can build a successful hospital here, we will cement our position as one of the top organisations in the county.

My Layout (1 Star Level)

Queues are just going to be a thing at this stage of the game. The best you can do is just try to stay on top of them as best as you can.

My main building evolved from having everything at first, to now just pretty much GP's Offices and training. As the game progresses, I will probably move training rooms further away,but it seems like just as fast as I build a new room and train up an employee for it, the game needs something else! But look, I'm sitting at almost a cool two million and I'm still only at Star 1! That's some money!!!

Here is another treatment area. I was getting a lot of Jest Infection patients which warranted a second Clown Clinic in an adjacent building, and I see my fracture patients are increasing also. So, my next move will probably be to move some of the treatment rooms to a new building and expand my fracture ward.

By this stage in the game, you need to be prepared for dual-purpose rooms like Psychiatry and the DNA Lab. Make sure you build at least twice as you would normally, and that seems to help with overall patient balance and queues. With patients in so many places in this level, it seems like you can never have enough GP's Offices.

However, with all the level bloat, it's created situations like this where I have a large amount of crowded patient corridors, and several of them being quite unhappy. Take a look at the final and 3-star winning layout here.

Level Notes

  • This level definitely required a few restarts - it can be unforgiving because the patient count just keeps going up!
  • Part of what helped me was staying on top of queues and building additional rooms when the queues hit 6.
  • You'll still need to be training your staff - I went with two staff rooms instead of one to start. It will be a constant ping-pong battle of hiring new staff and training your current ones.
  • Don't at all be afraid to take out multiple loans - there will definitely be enough of a patient count to support any new rooms you invest in. Just make sure you've got more than one patient coming in with that condition before you build it. You also have to consider that this level has the most expensive plots for more land in the whole game.

What do you get when you win?

You technically "win" the game at one star. A simple letter, the credits, and a big fat thank you. As of writing, I'm still in the process of getting to the 3rd star (it really does just take a long time, that's all!), but when I do, you will know what else awaits. Fun game, no?
