Emergencies

Ever so often, the game throws you an emergency - a group of multiple patients (typically between 5-8) who are already diagnosed with a disease, and just need rapid treatment. If you are able to successfully cure at least half, you'll get bonus money and reputation points. If you fail however, you will get a dent in your reputation for your negligence.

They can be tricky for a few reasons:

  • Most machines will break down in the middle of their treatment due to the large number of people rapidly using them
  • Patient logic can create severe frustration -sometimes they'll go to another building for a snack and hold up the entire queue. Make sure your immediate treatment area also has amenities!
  • Staff may become tired and quit halfway into the emergency

Here are some tips and tricks.

  • The surest way to increase the chance of full success is to have multiple rooms with highly trained staff - if you have multiple rooms, the patients will appropriately separate automatically rather than all going straight to one room. This also prevents overloading the machines, which will pretty much guarantee a less than perfect cure in time if even one machine breaks down once.
  • Make sure you have a staff member in the room, ready to go. Use the pick up tool and get a highly qualified staff member there - stat!

The typical rewards are as follows, and most emergencies (with the exception of Surgery emergencies) have a time limit of 90 days:

  • 10 Kudosh
  • +10 Reputation points
  • $10,000

Getting a perfect cure (for example, curing all 7/7 patients in the time alloted), will basically add to your reward and double the cash rewards.

"Perfect! We cured the entire group of patients. This has really helped out reputation and we've been sent a big reward."

  • +15 Reputation Points
  • 15 Kudosh
  • $20,000

Here are some of the in-game texts for certain disasters, again, adding that Two Point humor:
