Skip fights in arcade mode
Although arcade mode is usually only 1 player, to avoid skip the level, another controller is needed. If you are stuck in a particular level or simply want to skip levels, first, select your character. Wait till the console loads the battle. When the fight has just begun, press the start button on controller 2. Something around the lines of "here comes a new challenger" will appear on the screen and the music will change. You will then be taken back to the character screen. With the second controller, select the person that you were about to fight with and wait till the battle begins again. Then with the first controller, kill the other fighter (since he is controlled by controller 2, he won't do anything unelss someone operates him, so you can easily get a perfect). Once you have beaten him in both rounds, wait tillthe character screen and the map comes up again and the plane in the map will move to the next level. In other words, you have just skipped that level. This will work all the time except when the computer is playing as M.Bison

Game Stats Since Last Reset
This is a simple code to check the game stats since the last reset. Enter it, and two rows of numbers will appear like this:
0000 0000 0000 0000
000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000
The first top number is unknown, the second is the number of coins entered on the P1 side, the third is unknown, and the fourth is the number of coins entered on P2 side.
As for the second row, it's simply the number of times Ryu, E. Honda, Blanka, Guile, Ken, Chun-Li, Zangief, and Dhalsim have been used respectively.
Note: This code also works in all revisions as well as the "sequel," Street Fighter II: Championship Edition.

When playing as Dhalsim, try inputting Down, Down Forward, hold Forward, MK or HK, HP. It might take a few tries, but it'll result in Dhalsim turning invisible. The hit box programming is inconsistent; some attacks won't connect, and other will cause Dhalsim to automatically block. If an attack connects, it will knock Dhalsim out of the glitch.
Guile's Free Flash Kick
You can store up an extra of Guile's Flash Kick and trigger it without having to do another charge motion. Perform a Strong throw, and immediately press down to start charging. Just before Guile goes through the recovery animation from the throw, press Up and any kick button. If you perform a Flash Kick immediately, that means you've done it too late. You can tell you've done the glitch correctly if Guile's sprite walks backwards for a frame. Press any kick button while on the ground to trigger the Flash Kick. It must be triggered within a few seconds, or the charge will reset.
Guile's Free Sonic Boom
It's possible to perform Guile's Sonic Boom without having to do the charge motion. Perform a Strong throw, then continue holding in the same direction, and press any punch button just after recovering from the throw.
When playing as Guile, charge down for a Flash Kick, perform a Strong throw, and interrupt the throw mid-animation with the Flash Kick. Doing so will result in your opponent freezing completely, and their sprite will become stuck to Guile's. The only way to cancel the Handcuffs is to perform Guile's Magic Throw, which is an entirely separate glitch. If time runs out while the Handcuffs are active, the game will need to be restarted.
By combining some of Guile's other glitches, you can actually make him completely invincible. First, you must activate the Stance glitch. From there, perform a Magic Throw, but let the buttons go within three animation frames. This will result in Guile doing the throw animation, but the opponent won't actually be affected. During the animation, hold in the direction you're throwing, then perform a Sonic Boom in the other direction before Guile recovers. If done correctly, Guile will be completely frozen, but his hit box will no longer register. No attacks, projectiles, or throws will affect him. Otherwise, it operates the same way as his Stance glitch; it can be used to trigger other glitches, and requires a Flash Kick to cancel it.
Guile's Magic Throw
Guile is capable of throwing opponents without needing to be at close range. You have to be within range of using his upside down kick, then charge a Sonic Boom, walk slightly forward, the press Roundhouse, then Fierce or Strong immediately afterwards. If done correctly, the opponent will be thrown to the ground. The Magic Throw does the same amount of damage as the Strong Throw, and can be used against anything within range, including aerial-based moves like Blanka's roll or even during Vega's invincible cage climbing animation. This is also the only way to cancel out of Guile's Handcuffs, his other major glitch.
Guile can get stuck in a recovery frame of his upside down kick. While partway through a Flash Kick charge, press Back and Roundhouse near an opponent to do the upside down kick. During that animation, press towards your opponent and a punch button to cancel into a Sonic Boom. Guile will then freeze during the recovery. His low hit box will be invulnerable to most attacks, but he can still be hit out of the Stance. If you KO the opponent or the time runs out while the Stance is active, the round won't end until you cancel it with a Flash Kick.
Ryu Mirror Match
Normally, it's impossible to have mirror matches in The World Warrior. But you can do this with Ryu. If you reach his stage and lose, you can continue as Player 2 and choose to play as Ryu. However, there's no way to differentiate between who's playing whom; both have identical color palettes.
Ryu's Dizzy Damage
Due to the way Ryu's hit box is programmed, he can take double damage while in his dizzy animation. To do this, you must connect an attack when his sprite is leaning the farthest forward.
Due to programming issues with Vega's hit box, he can be still be hit by an attack - including projectiles - during his recovery animation while on the ground. If the player is fast enough, any character can easily combo him into a KO.

Floating Ken During Gill's Ressurection
If you're playing as Ken, you can perform an interesting trick against Gill. When Gill triggers his Ressurection Super Art, try hitting him with Ken's Shoryuken. Ken will start floating in midair, which usually results in him flying up off the screen and through the floor at increasing speeds. This can be useful for avoiding attacks or starting a combo.
Due to programming issues with Hugo's larger hitbox, he's vulnerable to attack combos that are impossible to connect with any other character. For example, Sean can throw him across the screen with his backward kick-based throw, and then immediately link it with his Hyper Tornado Super Art. Sean can also combo Hugo by linking the second hit of his Dragon Smash into the Hyper Tornado.
Perfect Taunting In Parrying Practice
Thanks to the way the parrying practice bonus round is programmed, hitting a basketball with an attack actually awards you points, despite not actually counting as a parry. Due to the unique properties of Yun's taunt - its hit box is right above and in front of his head, it counts as an attack, and he can do it infinitely - you can taunt continuously throughout the challenge without being knocked out of the animation. Doing so not only eliminates the need to parry, but the game even gives you bonus points for a perfect score if you taunt through every single basketball. However, you can't mix and match parries and taunts; you'll only be awarded for the ones you've parried instead of earning a perfect.
Quickly Fill Sean's Super Art Gauge
Like all the other characters, Sean has to build up a gauge to do EX moves and Super Arts. Due to a programming error, he can do this much quicker than any of the others. By holding Back on the directional pad while tapping an attack button, Sean's gauge will fill up twice as fast as it normally should.

Akuma's Shakunetsu Hadoken Juggle
Due to a programming bug, it's possible to juggle the Fierce version of Akuma's Shakunetsu Hadoken. To do this, your opponent must jump forward into the tip of the fireball. If done correctly, the character will be knocked back in the air, but the game will register that only the first hit of the Shakunetsu Hadoken connected. The rest of the fireball will continue across the screen as if nothing happened. In order to connect the other two hits, you have to dash forward to scroll the screen and keep the Shakunetsu Hadoken going for as long as possible. If timed well, all three hits can connect separately.
Chun-Li's Infinite Head Stomp Acceleration
Usually, Chun-Li can perform a maximum of 10 head stomps if she's in the corner. After that, the game will automatically push her away from the wall, forcing her to miss the opponent. However, this limit can be glitched by having Chun-Li jump backward against the wall, and have the opponent run underneath and block as usual. The game will still push her slightly away from the wall after the 10th stomp. But if you position the opponent underneath and have them block, you can continue stomping forward all the way across screen until both characters reach the opposite corner. Since you've already passed the programmed limit, you won't be pushed back a second time, thus allowing you to stomp infinitely. This glitch also affects Chun-Li's jumping speed. Each time her stomp is blocked, her sprite gains some acceleration. If you do a wall jump or your opponent parries one of these glitched head stomps, Chun-Li will go flying across the screen at a high speed. She can still attack, parry, and wall jump while in this accelerated state.
When playing as Remy against Urien, try to get hit right after his neutral throw animation connects. The most common way to do this is when Urien's Aegis Reflector is triggered. Not only does it let you escape from the Super Art, but it completely freezes Urien as well. He will be unable to attack or even move until Remy hits him again.
Gill Gauntlet Glitch
When you start up game, let the intro play out entirely and enter demo mode. The game will go to a CPU-controlled character select screen, and will choose a fighter. Look closely when the Super Art selection screen appears. When the CPU selects the Super Art, you'll see the red circle around it be highlighted. When the circle is about halfway around, press the Start button. If done correctly, Alex's character portrait will appear on the screen, but with the other fighter's Super Art selection. Choose whichever you want and continue to the opponent selection screen. If the glitch is active, every single opponent will be replaced by Gill. This glitched arcade mode will work only as long as you're playing as the fighter chosen by the CPU; even if you lose and continue as the same fighter, your opponents will still be Gill. But if you continue and try playing as a different fighter, the opponents will go back to normal.
Glitched Super Arts
This glitch requires two controllers. When you start up the game, let the intro play out entirely and enter Demo Mode. The game will go to a CPU-controlled character select screen, and will choose a fighter. Look closely when the Super Art selection screen appears. When the CPU selects the Super Art, the silver oval with the name of that Super Art will flash. As soon as it does, press the Start button. If timed correctly, Alex's character portrait will appear on the screen, and it will also display the Arcade Mode opponent selection menu. However, do not select an opponent. Instead, press the Start button on the Player 2 controller, and the game will bring up the Versus Mode character select screen.
At this point, use the Player 2 controller to choose a fighter and their Super Art. Immediately after that while the screen goes dark, use the Player 1 controller to choose your character and their Super Art. Select your character using only LP, MK, or HP. If done correctly, the properties of your character's Super Art will be glitched depending on which character the CPU chose in Demo Mode. For example, the CPU's first choice is always Ibuki and her Kasumi Suzaku. That means any glitched Super Art you use will have 3 short meters and lets you use more EX moves, but only aerial Super Arts will activate. If the CPU chooses Dudley, Super Arts that normally have a single long meter - Hugo's Gigas Breaker, Necro's Magnetic Storm, etc. - will have 2 shorter meters. However, Super Arts with time limits - Oro's Tengu Stone, Yun's Genei Jin, etc. - automatically cancel themselves after one use.
Necro VS Dudley Freeze Glitch
If Necro throws Dudley with a suplex while the latter's back is turned, both characters will suddenly be unable to attack or dash. To get back to normal, the characters must either jump or throw. Since the game registers Necro as being airborne in this glitched state, getting hit by one of Dudley's attacks will knock him backwards. If Necro parries the attack, he'll start floating in a second glitched state.
Q's Deadly Double Interruption
Q's Deadly Double Combination usually involves a powerful punch and a hammer strike. But if the combo is interrupted by another Super Art when the first punch connects, the animation will stop, both characters will freeze, and your opponent will be sent flying to the other side of the screen.
Q's Total Destruction Glitches
Q's Total Destruction Super Art has unique properties due to programming issues. Due to how it quickly drains a target's health bar instead of immediately KOing them, it's possible to beat Q during his post-attack animation frames by using a slow projectile like the Aegis Reflector. If characters trade hits during the explosion, the game won't always register that the explosion actually occurred, giving you chance to trigger a second one.
Sean's Backward Basketball
Sean's basketball taunt is a homing projectile; it's programmed to land at the opponent's location. However, this become problematic when it's targeted on characters who can move behind Sean quickly, such as when using Yang's Kaihou. If timed correctly, the game will register the opponent's location incorrectly and send the basketball backward from Sean's sprite, thus ignoring the normal physics of the attack.
Extra character colors
Complete arcade mode with any character. When choosing the character hold start and press any of the six attack buttons to select one of the six new colors.
Unlockable How to Unlock Extra color Complete the game at least once with any character
In order to fight Q, you have to win the first 8 matches without losing a round, remain at a D rank or higher in each match, get 5 Super Art finishes, and get 2 or more Special Points.

Chun-Li's second win pose features her jumping up and down, laughing, and yelling, "Yatta!" However, there's also a hidden variation of it. When you win a match, immediately hold down the Start button. Chun-Li will go through her usual animations, but will be blushing at the end of it.
Makoto's Hayate Taunt
When playing as Makoto, perform her Hayate special and do a taunt input immediately afterward. She'll do a unique animation and battle cry, regardless if the Hayate connected or not. Unlike her regular taunt, however, this one doesn't provide any stat boosts.
Twelve's Bonus Round Headache
When you play through the Arcade Mode as Twelve, be sure to choose his X.C.O.P.Y Super Art. This lets him shape-shift into whatever opponent he's fighting. But if you activate it while trying to destroy the SUV in the bonus round, it'll trigger a special animation.Twelve will stop attacking and grab his head in agony. He can't change into a car, after all.
Alex's Reverse Hyper Bomb
Alex has an alternate version of his Hyper Bomb. In order to perform it, you have to trigger and connect with the Super Art specifically while your opponent is facing away from you. If done properly, Alex will skip his usual animations and do five consecutive backdrop suplexes rapidly across the screen.
Breaking Objects In Chun-Li's Stage
When fighting in Chun-Li's stage, take a closer look at the surroundings. There's a table in the foreground to the left. Whenever a fighter is thrown or has a hard impact on the ground nearby, it'll cause the bowl of food on the table to rattle and move closer to the edge; if you do it enough times, the bowl will completely fall off. There's also a chair on the far left and a bamboo stalk on the far right of the stage, both of which will break when an attack connects directly on top of where they're located.
Canceling Elena's Healing
Normally, Elena's Healing Super Art leaves her wide open to attack; the longer it lasts, the more health she regains. If you don't want to be vulnerable, you can end the animation quickly by pressing all three punch buttons at the same time.
Chun-Li's Corner Head Stomps
In most situations, Chun-Li's head stomps can only successfully connect twice. However, she can stomp up to 10 times consecutively on a cornered opponent, provided that the target doesn't counterattack or parry. You can also incorporate Chun-Li's unique wall jump techniques to alter the timing and trajectory of the stomps.
Deflecting Object Projectles
Sean, Dudley, and Ibuki are unique in that their projectiles are objects instead of fireballs. While it's possible to parry Sean's basketball, Dudley's rose, and Ibuki's regular and EX kunai, you can simply deflect them by connecting with a well-timed punch or kick. All three objects can even cancel each other out if they connect in midair. Note that this doesn't work on Super Arts; you can still hit someone out of a Super Art animation with these projectiles, but you have to hit the opponent's character sprite instead.
Dudley's Rolling Thunder Dash
When you activate Dudley's Rolling Thunder Super Art, immediately hold forward and all three punches. Instead of his usual barrage, Dudley will dash forward instead.
Hugo's Delayed Hammer Mountain
When using Hugo's Hammer Mountain Super Art, you can delay its activation by holding down a punch button. If you hold it down long enough, the move will be canceled entirely. This can be used to throw off parrying tactics, or to better deal with enemies that jump behind you.
Ibuki's Waving Taunt
Ibuki's default taunt features her doing a short forward hop, which evades most low attacks. However, there's a second animation that triggers if you're within throwing range of your opponent. If it connects, Ibuki will grab the opponent and leap over their head, and then wave at the camera for a second. This extra animation also gives Ibuki an attack power boost. Note that this taunt has the same properties as a light attack. It can be blocked or parried, and does minimal damage. But like a throw, it can stop certain oncoming attacks in mid-animation.
Infinite Taunting With Necro And Yun
Necro and Yun are unique in that they're the only characters in Street Fighter III who can taunt continuously. As long as you hold down HP + HK or they get hit by an attack, their animations won't stop. Each completed animation gives the characters stat boosts. All of Necro's attacks aside from his throws will get damage boosts, and Yun's special attacks will be given a large boost, and all other moves a smaller boost. Yun's stats will max out after 8 taunt animations. While it's possible to perform these taunts one at a time, it's much faster to get the stat boosts by using this method.
Makoto's Triple Taunt
Makoto's taunt is actually the first of three animations. In order to see the two extra ones, you have to keep holding down HP + HK instead of releasing the buttons. Performing the entire taunt gives Makoto's attack power two boosts, and three Stun Gauge recovery boosts.
Oro's EX Super Arts
All three of Oro's Super Arts have alternate EX versions that can only be triggered when you've maxed out the Super Gauge, and input the regular motions with two buttons instead of one. The Kishin Riki becomes a single, but devastating throw called the Kishin Tsui. The Yagyou Dama becomes the Yagyou-Odama, which fills half the screen with a giant fireball. The Tengu Stone becomes the Tengu Midareishi, which has more powerful projectiles and better juggling properties, but stays on the screen for less time.
Secret character color
To choose the seventh default color, highlight a character and press Light Punch, Medium Kick, and Strong Punch.
Stopping Projectiles With Special Attacks
Alex, Hugo, Yun, and Yang are at a disadvantage due to their limited attack range. However, you can slightly even the odds by using some of their special moves in an unexpected way. Alex's Flash Chop, Hugo's Giant Palm Bomber, Yun's Kobokushi, and Yang's Byakko Soshoda are the only specials that cancel out projectiles as long as the attacks connect at the same time. This can be used to surprise opponents who assume you'll parry the projectile instead.
Twelve's X.C.O.P.Y Taunting
Twelve's X.C.O.P.Y Super Art allows him to temporarily transform into his opponent. Not only does he get their moves, but the stat boosting benefits of their taunts as well. Instead of directly attacking your opponent, you have the option of using that time to spam taunts to quickly build up Twelve's attack and defense stats before he returns into his original form.
Urien's Alternate Aegis Reflector
Urien can perform a special version of his Aegis Reflector Super Art. If you press all three punch buttons while inputting the command, the Aegis Reflector will appear diagonally upwards on the screen, resulting in different potential corner combos and juggles.
Urien's Knockdown Taunt
Urien's taunt boosts his attack stat. If he does it at close range, the game will register it as a low attack, and the opponent will be knocked to the ground and left wide open for combos. If you connect with the taunt, however, Urien won't get the stat boost.
Dropping Sean's Basketballs
Instead of parrying Sean's basketball taunt, try rushing in and hitting him at the start of the animation. If you hit him before he catches the basketball, it'll go flying harmlessly across the screen.
Interrupting Gill's Super Arts
While Gill's Super Arts are intentionally designed to make them difficult to counter, they can be interrupted mid-animation if you're close and fast enough. The Meteor Strike can be avoided if you can quickly dash under the first volley of projectiles and hit Gill. The Seraphic Wing can be stopped if you're near the center of the screen when it's triggered. It takes a few animation frames for the Seraphic Wing to activate, so you need to hit Gill when he starts floating, but before he opens his wings. The Resurrection can't be stopped, but you can limit the amount of health Gill regains by dashing up close and hitting him out of the animation. Due to how Resurrection pushes your character back, projectiles and most heavy attacks won't work. The easiest way is to use a light or medium attack; if you have a Super Art stocked up, you can combo Gill into another KO.
Parrying Akuma's Kongou Kokuretsu Zan
Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to parry Akuma's final Super Art, the Kongou Kokuretsu Zan. However, this can only be done at certain distances. The bolt of energy at the start of the animation can't be parried, but it won't cause damage if you're far enough away. You need to be out of throw range, but close enough to connect an HK. If you input the parry command just as Akuma hits the ground, you should be able to parry the shockwaves that come at the second part of the attack. If done correctly, the game will register that you've parried 4 hits at the same time. This parry can be done while jumping as well.
Twelve's X.C.O.P.Y Damage
When Twelve's X.C.O.P.Y Super Art runs out, he will automatically stop and transform back into his original form. During this mid-transformation sequence, Twelve will take double damage on all attacks.
Street Fighter III: New Generation Cheats
Flash Chopping Elena
Due to a programming bug, it takes a few extra animation frames for the game to register that Elena has recovered from attacks that turn her around. If you hit her with Alex's Flash Chop special, she'll be knocked back and around, and won't be able to recover fast enough to block or parry another Flash Chop. You can easily chain Flash Chops and keep her trapped in this combo long enough to KO her.
When playing as Ibuki, you can trigger a programming bug when linking her launching attack into her air chain combo. Doing so causes the game to reset Ibuki's standing animation in midair, and prevents you from performing any attacks aside from her kunai. In rarer cases, this will cause the game to freeze entirely.
Quickly Fill Sean's Super Art Gauge
Like all the other characters, Sean has to build up a gauge to do Super Arts. Due to a programming error, he can do this much quicker than any of the others. By holding Back on the directional pad while tapping an attack button, Sean's gauge will fill up twice as fast as it normally should.
Play as Yang
Highlight Yun on the character select screen and then press a kick button. If done correctly Yun's character icon should change into Yang

This works best against projectiles, but can be done as a reversal against any attack as long as the opponent is on the ground.

Old Zangief's Magic Throw
When playing as Old Zangief, it's possible to throw opponents regardless of how far away they are. You need to perform his Flying Power Bomb (360 Motion + MK) as a reversal attack, when he's recovering from a block. This works best against projectiles, but can be done as a reversal against any attack as long as the opponent is on the ground. This glitch is specifically used by Old Zangief, not the Super Turbo version.
Play As New Versions With Old Colors
This requires a few steps: Start by playing as the old version of your character. Then, intentionally lose to the CPU. While on the continue screen, have Player 2 join. Wait until the character select screen appears, then press Start. Don't press anything until the timer runs out, and the game automatically selects your character. This will result in your character being the Super Turbo version, but they'll be wearing the old colors.
There is a hidden boss named Akuma. To get to him, you must play through the one player mode with any character and beat every opponent without using any continues, in less than 1,500 seconds of total game time, or by having a score of over 1,200,000, or by holding an attack button for 2 seconds during the victory quote screen after winning 12 consecutive matches. If these conditions are met, Akuma will knock out M. Bison at the start of the final match and challenge you instead.
