Pets

Pets provide a nice combat bonus when you are fighting enemies. They are available when you buy the Stables (VIP upgrades). Outside you will see a small barn-like construction joined at the left side of the tavern. You start with one pet, you have to spend gold to acquire additional pets. Leveling a pet is easy, it just takes a while, after a number of battles their level increases automatically. As far I can tell, the maximum pet level is 6 for all pets. The available pets are:

Ray

"What a pal."
Cost: free (you get this pet for free when you buy the Stables)
Bonus: +5 MP (per pet level) to each party member.
Comment: I believe this old saying applies: "don't look a gift horse in the mouth". For a free pet, it is not a bad bonus.

Ernie

"Slow and steady."
Cost: 1M
Bonus: +5 HP (per pet level) to each party member.
Comment: HP is usually more important than MP, so this is a better pet than Ray. Note that its bonus is equivalent of leveling the HP relic.

Crespia

"She's fierce."
Cost: 2M
Bonus: +5 Attack (per pet level) to each party member.
Comment: Note that the attack relic gives only +2 per level, while this pet gives +5 attack per level. Very nice.

Jenny

"Eats gold for breakfast."
Cost: 3M
Bonus: +5% gold (per pet level) to each party member.
Comment: One of my personal favorites. At maximum level is +30% gold per party member (+150% total for a party of five), which is great for gold rushing.

Norm

"Thick-skinned."
Cost: 4M
Bonus: +5% boost (per pet level) to physical attacks to each party member.
Comment: As you get better equipment, this physical boost is much better than a plain bonus to attack.

Charlie

"Loyal as they come."
Cost: 4M
Bonus: +5% boost (per pet level) to magical attacks to each party member.
Comment: This pet bonus is better than the magical boost relic. Good if you want to boost your Darkmage skills and improve the Healers' group healing.

Dasha

"Magic for days."
Cost: 4M
Bonus: +1 MP regen (per pet level) per turn to each party member.
Comment: As you probably have seemed by now, there are very few items that grant MP regen. I don't like MP regen, but if you do, this is the pet for you.

Tufts

"So sleepy."
Cost: 4M
Bonus: +2 HP regen (per pet level) per turn to each party member.
Comment: Once again the pet bonus rises above the relic. Ok bonus, but I prefer other pets.

Steamy

"Likes to collect trading cards."
Cost: 5M
Bonus: +2% magical critical damage (per pet level) to each party member.
Comment: I don't like this pet because it only affects magical critical, therefore is only useful for Darkmages and Conjurers (Healers don't crit with their healing spells).
