Game Basics
Some basic info into the challenges you are about to face when playing Soda Dungeon.
Main Dungeon
This game follows a very standard progression for its dungeon. The first dungeon you encounter has 100 levels. Once you beat that you can change dimension and start over but the dungeon will have 200 levels. Once you beat that, you can change dimension and the dungeon will have 300 levels, and so on. The levels are the same for every 100 levels, for example, level 1 is the same as 101, 201 and so on. Of course the higher you go the stronger the enemies are, but the dungeon also gives better rewards.
Every level ending with 5 you will fight a mini-boss. Every ten levels you will fight an area boss. And every 100 levels you fight a dungeon boss. Every 20 levels, the dungeon area (background, enemies, etc.) will change. The dungeon areas are:
Levels 1 - 20: Catacombs
Levels 21 - 40: Fire Caverns
Levels 41 - 60: Water Temple
Levels 61 - 80: Frozen City
Levels 81 - 100: Ascension
When you buy the Wizard upgrade (Tavern option talking to the Barkeeper), you will be able to warp over completed dungeon levels by spending gold.
Daily Challenge Arena
This area becomes available after you meet the Gladiator NPC. You can access this challenge by clicking on the sign with two crossing swords outside (located in the lower-right corner of the screen). The name is misleading, although it says "daily", you can run it every 4 hours after you get a reward. For this challenge you have to assemble a party of three patrons. You will face 10 battles, also against 3 opponents (patrons like yours) until you get to the reward. The harder the difficulty of the challenge, the greater is the reward. You have to complete a certain dungeon level for a difficulty to be unlocked. Challenges difficulty, rewards and requirements are:
- Difficulty 1: 1K gold, requirement dungeon level 20+
- Difficulty 2: 2K gold, requirement dungeon level 30+
- Difficulty 3: 3K gold, requirement dungeon level 50+
- Difficulty 4: 5K gold, requirement dungeon level 70+
- Difficulty 5: 15 essences, requirement dungeon level 100+
- Difficulty 6: 30 essences, requirement dungeon level 150+
- Difficulty 7: 45 essences, requirement dungeon level 200+
- Difficulty 8: 60 essences, requirement dungeon level 250+
- Difficulty 9: 1 relic token (increases a relic level, great reward specially in higher dimensions), requirement dungeon level 350+.
Lair of Despair
You can access the Lair of Despair by clicking on the Pink Ghost/Genie outside (his name is Fabulo). You will need to complete 150 -- 170 dungeon levels (not sure the exact level) for this alternative dungeon to become available on your dimension. As stated in the game, the enemies are tougher but this lair also has better rewards. The Lair follows the same principles as the standard dungeon: mini-boss at levels ending with 5, area boss every 10 levels, dungeon area changing every 20 levels, and dungeon boss at 100. The dungeon areas and enemies are more "playful" than the normal dungeon, and its areas are:
Levels 1 - 20: Grotto
Levels 21 - 40: Caverns
Levels 41 - 60: Temple of Bliss
Levels 61 - 80: Jubilant City
Levels 81 - 100: Enlightening
Careful when warping levels in the Lair of Despair, it consumes **essences** to warp (and not gold). Since essences are a much more valuable and scarce resource than gold, I strongly advise against this unless you are in the final dimension.
