External Monitor won't work with RCT1?

  1. I have an acer external monitor, made in 2008, that won't display this game. The computer it's connected to, however, will display it. Help?

  3. Yes, we tried to change the external monitor to every available screen resolution and it didn't help.

  1. Well. It could just be that the two aren't compatible, I suppose... it's a very rare case as far as I'm aware, and I've never actually tried using an external monitor so I'm not positive about whether or not this could be the problem. There are computer games that actually don't work with devices that are too advanced, though... I can play Roller Coaster Tycoon jsut fine on my Windows XP system, but I know of a few PC games that will only work on Windows 95 and 98, nothing prior or later. Just as an example.

    If this is the only game that's giving you problems, that might just be it. If your external monitor won't display other computer games, either, then I'm afraid I can't help. You'd best ask someone more experienced in a place that's more popular... I might recommend the Neoseeker.com Loungin' forum help desk, I frequent the thread and the patrons are pretty tech-savvy. Sorry I wasn't more help.
