It's not Tecmo Super Bowl, but it's still pretty good...
Back in the day, I remember going to visit my uncle who had an NES. I used to play this game non-stop. It took me a while, but I managed to get my own copy. So now I'll give you a rundown of Tecmo Baseball...
Nothing too special here. Just some generic baseball player sprites. However, the skin of people you see when batting can be different than that of their fielding counterpart. Hmm...

There are only two versions of background music, one when the bases are empty, one when you have at least one man on base. Both are rather catchy. Although the sound effects when the ball is thrown or is dropping to the ground isn't that realistic, it does seem to add a bit of feel to the game.
Sound Rating: 8/10
This game is rather hard at first. You'll need to practice in order to even stand a chance at winning. Your pitcher usually wears down in about three innings, so you might find it a pain to switch them. The fielders are slow, but it evens out the playing field slightly. You could have some trouble hitting, seeing as some balls are hard to hit. You can swing low, in the middle, or high, but you might have a difficult time deciding in that split-second which level you'll swing at. However, if you can find a way around these things as I have, you won't care much about these things.
Gameplay Rating: 8.5/10
The main game is to take control of a team and beat everyone else. Simple, right? Well, if you're a gamer who doesn't give up until you beat the game, you might play this for a while. You have to beat thirteen teams. Luckily, there's a password system to play a certain team, so you won't have to worry about playing thirteen games non-stop. However, for added replay value, you can try to everyone in one shot, and if you lose, you go back to the beginning.
Replay Rating: 8/10
To get some fun out of this game, you'll have to like baseball so you're interested in it. You also might want to become good at the game to further enjoy it. It may not be a fun game for everyone, but it's worth a look if you're a baseball fan, don't really care about realism, and you know of a place to find this game.
