This version of the game has some additional music not found in the PC 8801 version and some of the audio cues are slightly different as a result. The graphic window is also smaller in the MSX 2 port than in the PC 8801 version.
This version of the game is packaged with a proprietary sound cartridge, used to match the music and sound effects of the PC 8801 version and is the only version of the game to be packaged with such a peripheral. This caused the MSX 2 version of the game to retail for a higher price than the PC 8801 version. This version of the game retailed for the rough equivalent of $86.00 US dollars.
Snatcher was originally going to be an exclusive title for the PC-8801 computer, but Konami ordered the game be ported to the MSX 2 on short notice. For this reason, the MSX 2 version was ported hurriedly and little to no recoding wa done to accommodate MSX 2 specifications. This is why this version of the game suffers from unusually long load times.
