What's this new "Keep me logged in on this device" checkbox?

With the change in domains, we've changed how logins work on GameFAQs. Every time you log in, we'll automatically store information about your account as a "Session". If you leave that checkbox checked, as long as you visit GameFAQs at least once every 30 days on that device, your account will stay logged in until you manually log out.

If you uncheck the "Keep me logged in on this device" checkbox, you will be automatically logged out as soon as you shut down your browser or after 24 hours, whichever comes first.

What are my "Active Sessions"?

When you're logged in, you can visit http://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/user/sessions to see where you're currently logged in and what devices you've logged in with. This will allow you to manage where you're currently logged in, and remotely log out any devices that you don't want to be able to access your account.

One of the locations in my "Active Sessions" doesn't look like me, have I been hacked?

The "Location" of your device is an estimation based on your IP address. IP addresses change owners all the time, and geolocation by IP is not an exact science, especially for mobile networks. If you are concerned, you can simply click a button to force that device to log out, even if it's not currently using the site.
