Is it possible to actually catch up to Babidi?

  1. I wanted to know if it was actually possible to catch up to Babidi. It'd be interesting to wonder what would happen if one were to hack budokai 2 in order to move yourself up to where Babidi would go. My theory the game crashes when you get to Babidi. because Babidi was supposed to get to the middle, if he was destroyed before he did, that makes it Majin Buu never appears and therefore the game crashes when Cell, Frieza and Vegeta are defeated.

  2. Why does it have to crash?

  3. The reason it would crash is because you probably werent supposed to get to Babidi that fast. By hack, you can move your piece to another spot.

Because you were supposed to fight Majin Buu here, since Babidi didn't get to where he needed to be. Goku defeats him on the spot. For say. Majin Buu doesn't appear. You can still fight the other three. Once all three are defeated i believe, you could fight Buu then. Since Buu isn't there, the game board is empty, therefore you can't get to the next stage. It will either be empty, freeze, or move you to the next stage, if the game assumes you defeated Buu.

  1. It;s impossible to get to him without hacking even if you do either nothing will happen or the game will crash because their isn't a model for babidi in the game with attacking animations.

  2. Seriously late to this, but it actually is possible to catch up to him by hacking. If you manage to do it, the game tries to load a cutscene, fails, and instantly starts a battle... except the game surprisingly doesn't crash, and even more surprisingly, you'll be fighting Dr Gero. If you manage to defeat him, Babidi will die like any other character would, except it becomes impossible to complete the stage. You can continue the stage and defeat Cell, Vegeta, and Frieza, but you'll be trapped on a board with no enemies and no way to progress or summon Buu, forcing you to restart Story Mode.
