This guide is being created to help people through the game, not to define
spells, weapons, items, creatures or sanity effects. So, with that in mind
there will be nothing here but a walkthrough, start to finish.

Prelude: A Death In The Family - Alexandria Roivas

You start the game in a room with zombies and a shotgun. There is no need to do
anything, although most like to start shooting, the dream ends after you are
attacked or after you run out of ammo (nine rounds). After your brief fight,
you wake up at 3:33 in the morning (remember that time, it’s important later
on) and the game goes back to cinematics.

When you do finally start the game, go straight forward and examine the clock,
take the Dresser Key. Although you won’t use it for a pretty long while, it’s
good to get it now. Now, head to the right (Note: all directions that will be
given in the guide are PLAYER relative, meaning you, not character. So, right
means your right, not the character’s) and go into the door on the wall, this
will bring you into the library. Move towards the camera and until you round
the corner and get to the second part of the library. Walk over to the
Grandfather Clock and set it’s time to 3:33, this opens a secret passage, go
down that passage and into the room at the end of it.

In the Study go to the desk and examine the book, it is the Tome Of Eternal
Darkness. This ends Alex’s first Chapter (I suggest saving here and at the end
or shortly before every chapter end to reduce having to redo entire characters.
Note: There is no penalty for saving, but you cannot save in a room that still
has monsters living in it).

Chapter One: The Chosen One – Pious Augustus

Move off the pedestal and to hole in the center of the room. Descend the ladder
and walk to the end of the room, kill the zombies by targeting and attacking
first the head, then both arms (This is the best way to kill any zombie with
any weapon). Pick up the block at the end of the corridor and go through the
door. Kill the two zombies in this room and pick up the second block. Exit
through the only other door in the room. There are five zombies here along with
a third granite block in the middle of the room. Now, descend the ladder and
move down the hall, there is a zombie to the left and a door to the right, kill
the zombie and head out the door. Go down the hall to the attached room, there
are four zombies here. Kill them all and pick up the granite block in the
middle of the room. Now insert all the blocks into corresponding holes
underneath the designs on the wall, to insert them, select them at the menu
screen and push ‘use’ when you are close to the designs on the wall. After you
have inserted them all, exit the room and go straight down the hall to the now
unbarred door.

Enter that door and go up to the statue in the middle of the room. Attack
first, it’s head, then each arm and finally the torso to open the door. Kill
the three zombies in this room and then move to the glowing circle in the
corner. Push the button then step onto the portal that has now opened in the
center of the room, from here go to the end of the hall and pick up the
Xel’Lotath Artifact, the green one on the bottom right of the room. A cinematic
will play and Pious will turn into something far less human than he once was,
thus ending the Chapter of Pious Augustus in The Tome Of Eternal Darkness.

Chapter One: The Chosen One – Alexandria Roivas

From the desk go across the room and pick up the Gladius mounted on the wall,
although you wont be fighting anytime soon there’s no reason not to grab it
now. Now go to the plaque next to the door and take the page mounted there.
Open your inventory and ‘use’ the new chapter page, this will end Chapter One.

Chapter Two: The Binding Of The Corpse God – Ellia

From your starting point, move straight across the room to the statue and take
the Strange Necklace. You can use this to heal yourself ten times throughout
Ellia’s level, but make sure you don’t move or are attacked when casting. Now,
go through the only open door in this room, it is on the left side of the room.
Continue through this room and on to the next. The game will show a quick movie
showing you tripping the booby traps in this room simply avoid them and move
on. Kill the zombie and walk to the candles. Set them so that the Middle on is
the only one lit and pick up the Bronze Necklace in the room. Exit the way you
came and backtrack to the room you started in, along the way you will have to
fight three zombies (from now on, be sure to ‘finish’ all monsters, in order to
regain lost sanity). Go to the statue you got the Strange Necklace from and use
the Bronze Necklace, this reopens the door that taking the Strange Necklace
closed. Go through that door, the following room and down the booby trapped
hall (I find it easiest to just run instead of trying to figure out the timing
on the arrows that shoot from the wall), enter the next room and fight the
zombie here as well as extinguish the lit candles (this should have made two
doors open, if it did not, you’ve done something wrong). Exit this room through
the second door, not the one you entered through, and run down the hall. Pass
through the room at the end of the hall to be back in your starting room. Go
through the other door in the room, through the next room, down the hall and
through the room after that. Go down the next hallway as well, but only go half
way. Down the left opening in the hall is a pedestal with a blowgun atop it,
take the blowgun.

After watching the short cinematic, be sure to pick up your broken sword and
use the blowgun to kill off the zombies, go after the one by the guard first.
After killing off the zombies talk to the guard and he will repair your blowgun
for you. Now, go down the hallway, through the traps, to the room at the end (I
find it best to re-equip the Short Sword) and kill the two zombies. Exit this
room through the door on the left side of the room, move down the trapped
hallway and into the next room where there are four zombies (let the big red
one kill off the smaller three before killing it, makes life easier). Now leave
this room through the only other door and go down the corridor to the hall of
Mantorok, watch the cinematic then go up the small set of stairs and take the
staff from the statue. Go back the way you came and kill the three newly
spawned zombies in the room you just left, now venture back out of this room
the way you first entered it and down the booby trapped hallway. There will be
four new zombies in the next room, kill them all and then ‘use’ the staff you
acquired on the slot in the object in the middle of the room. Now backtrack to
the room that Mantorok is in and go through the door that using the staff
opened. Venture down the hall and into the room, after getting half way across
the room a cinematic will play where Pious kills Ellia, thus ending her Chapter
in The Tome Of Eternal Darkness.

Chapter Two: The Binding Of The Corpse God – Alexandria Roivas

After Alex stands up, go to the table with the newly lit candles and make it so
only the left one is lit. This will open a secret panel and allow you to take a
Message Tube, ‘check’ the Tube and get the new chapter page from inside it.
Watch the movie and then ‘use’ the new chapter page, this will end Chapter Two.

Chapter Three: Suspicions Of A Conspiracy – Anthony

From the start, go up the stairway next to the door to the church. As you go up
it you will be transported to the Hall Of The Tome Of Eternal Darkness. In this
hall there are and will be statues of the lives of the character you have
played as in the game. At the end of the hall is a large hand holding The Tome
Of Eternal Darkness, take the tome and be transported back to the stairway.
Continue up the stairs and in the room at the top take the blue urn from the
bookshelf next to the stairs. ‘Use’ the urn and you will drop it getting a rune
from inside. Now go back downstairs and go to the front of the cathedral, walk
up to the casket and after moving around it a bit you should be able to examine
and open it.

After the brief cinematic go back upstairs and take the golden Circle Of Power
that lies on the table. Now go to the center of the three bookshelves in front
of you and pull the book, this opens a passage to a ladder, climb down it. Go
down the hall and kill the Zombie with the Antorbok (Project) Rune inside of it
(This is how most runes will be discovered) as well as the other two, smaller
zombies. In the next room, kill off the two zombies attacking the Monk and pick
up the torch. Equip the torch and go to the side of the room where the zombie
he set on fire ran, pick up the three pieces of the broken urn and mix them
together. Talk to the monk to get a Two Handed Sword and leave the room through
the door. Re-quip a weapon, either the Two Handed Sword or the Scramasax, and
kill the zombie with the rune in him to get the Magormor (Item) Rune, also be
sure to get the Magickal Codex (Magormor) in this room. Now continue down the
stairs and through the door at the bottom. Kill off the three zombies in this
room and pick up the Magickal Codex (Ulyaoth). Now Pause the game and go to the
New Spell function, use your three different runes on the Circle Of Power to
create Spell One (Enchant Item) Cast the spell on the Broken Green Urn and
Broken Blue Urn to repair them. Use the green and blue urns at the fountain in
the corner of the room to fill them, also, pick up the Filled Red Urn. Equip
the Torch and hit the drape on the wall across the room, this burns it away
revealing the door behind it. Re-equip a weapon and go through the door, kill
the zombie in the hall way and continue on down the hallway to the next door.

Go through the door and watch the brief cinematic, now enter the room and
examine the table to retrieve the Enchant Item Scroll, also go to the bookshelf
and pick up the Magickal Codex (Antorbok). Now, place all three urns in the
triangle on the floor in front of the table (if you are standing on the plate
on the floor, inserting the first urn will open the door, but once you move off
it will close, so you must place all three Filled Urns). Go through the newly
opened hallway and through the door at the end, be prepared to fight. Use the
Two Handed Sword to kill the Bishop and his two zombies and take the Bishops
Key he drops.

You will now need to backtrack to the door that you started Anthony’s Chapter
at. After leaving the room you are in you will have to fight two zombies, then
two more in the room where you placed the Filled Urns. After leaving that room
you will encounter a Trapper. Because you are probably low on health at this
point let the Trapper get you by running into it. Wait for the glowing circle
in front of you to turn red and step on it while it is red. This will transport
you to the other red ring in the Trapper Dimension. Here there are two small
platforms. One is letting loose small red balls of energy skyward and the other
looks like the one you just used to get to the island but purple.  Stand on the
red thing first to regain your health then go to the purple ring to be
transported to another platform, from there go up the stairs and leave the
Trapper Dimension.

Note - A small description of the Trapper Dimension: This dimension is
confusing to most but can be VERY helpful. When you first arrive you will be
looking at a transport ring that changes color. Each color of the transport
ring has a corresponding color on another island. Each color also represents
the colors of your Health (red), Sanity (green) and Magickal Energy (Blue).
There is also a fourth color, purple; this is the transport to the end, to
leave the Trapper Dimension. Every island has one of these purple transport
rings so don’t worry about getting stuck in the Trapper Dimension. Each island
will also usually have a monster on it and it will always have a refilling
place for each of your three meters, Sanity, Health and Magickal Energy, except
for the purple island that will only transport you away. So, if you ever need
Health, Magickal Energy or Sanity and there is a Trapper around, let it get you
and go to the Trapper Dimension to refill one of your energies. Also, if you
wish to avoid a trapper completely, sneak around it (use the X button).

Continue through the next door, in this room there will be one Trapper. Exit
this room and in the next there will be three zombies. There will be no
monsters in the following room nor the next hall. Go up the ladder and there
will be a Horror, attack it’s eyes to kill it and continue down the stairs,
because of the blockade it puts up, you cannot go downstairs until it is dead.
Down the stairs there will be three more zombies to kill, now go down the row
of pews a little ways and go to the Bishop’s Door. Use the Bishops key and
enter the room. There will be a cinematic and he will die, thus ending
Anthony’s Chapter in The Tome Of Eternal Darkness.

Chapter Three: Suspicions Of Conspiracy - Alexandria Roivas

Leave the study and venture back to the foyer, from there go up stairs. Use the
Second Floor Key on the door, after it breaks use the Enchant Item Spell on it
and use it again to enter the second floor. Now go left, down the hall and
enter the door to the right. Examine the picture on the wall and take the
Chapter Page, ‘use’ it the chapter page to end Chapter Three.

Chapter Four: The Gift Of Forever – Karim

From the start go to the ladder, when you choose to descent you will be brought
to The Hall Of The Tome Of Eternal Darkness, take the tome to be transported
back. Now, kill all the zombies that have come to life in the room and then
descend the ladder. Follow the hallway to the opening, kill the zombies and
take the Statuette. Continue down the corridor and to find two more zombies a
few feet ahead, one will be holding a rune, kill him to obtain the Santek
(Self) Rune Go up the nearby ladder and cross the room to the green barrier.
When you are close enough the barrier will fade away and allow you to continue
down the ladder. Pick up the torch on the wall of the corridor and equip it.
Use the torch to attack the zombies in the room at the end of the corridor,
pick up the Statuette and the Magickal Codex (Xel’Lotath) and go back up the
ladder you came down. In this room place one statuette on one of two of the
circles on the floor and stand on the third, this will cause the shrine in the
middle of the room to rise and become an elevator. Take the new elevator down
and go to the end of the corridor.( There is a man laying with a Tulwar in his
back, it is possible to take this and wield dual Tulwars, however the monster
that arises when you do this takes more sanity from you than it regenerates
from ‘finishing’ it).

Go through the door and kill the two zombies in the next room, upon killing one
another creature will leap out from it, a Xel’Lotath Bonetheif, kill that as
well. After destroying the monsters, take the Recover Spell Scroll from the
guard that lies on the ground and exit the room through the door adjacent to
the one you entered through. In this room there are three zombies, kill them
all and move to the end of the room and enter the door. Here there is a Horror
holding a rune, Kill him to acquire the Narokath (Absorb) Rune, also pick up
the Magical Codex (Antorbok) that lies on the table. Now exit the room and go
to the green shield, it will disappear, allowing access to a ladder. Go down
the ladder, when you do the first time you will see a cinematic and be back at
the top after that’s over, simply go down again. Go straight and pick up the
Magickal Codex (Narokath) found in the wall, after picking that up you will
have learned the Recover Spell, this spell is useless right now because you
don’t have any of the other Alignment Runes, but it will be useful later. Now,
go right and through the door, in this room go to the center and pick up the
Ram Dao. When you do this a large number of zombies will materialize, kill them
all, once you have killed them more will come, in the fourth and final wave a
zombie will be holding a rune kill him to get the Xel’Lotath Alignment Rune.
Finish off the rest of the zombies and the Bonetheives to re-open the door. If
you are low on Sanity at this point you can cast the Recover spell under the
new Xel’Lotath alignment.

Now, leave the room and go back up the ladder, exit this room as well going
back into the room with three doors, one of which has a Sigil upon it. Use a
Xel’Lotath aligned Enchant Item spell on the Ram Dao and ‘use’ the blade to
remove the barrier. Go through the door and kill the three zombies here, go
down the hall and up the ladder to a room with three Trappers. Take the Ruby
Effigy that sits on the stand in the middle of the room then exit the room
through the ladder you entered it from. Continue down the hallway to the rubble
and climb over it, either kill or run past the Horror here and go down the
ladder behind it. In this room ‘use’ the Tome Of Eternal Darkness at the
bookstand to open the gate then pick the Tome back up. Go through the once
gated are and prepare to fight, many waves of zombies will come after you from
behind a green barrier; the final fight will be with a Horror.

After finishing off the Horror the Essence Of Ulyaoth will appear, go to the
pedestal and collect it. A cinematic will follow and your love will appear in
spirit form, she will ask you to join her in protecting the artifact. Karim
will receive the kiss of death from her, killing him and thus ending Karim’s
Chapter in The Tome Of Eternal Darkness.

Chapter Four: The Gift Of Forever – Alexandria Roivas

After what Alex has seen she will have lost some sanity, use the Xel’Lotath
aligned Recovery spell to restore it. Exit the Study and go back to the main
Foyer, on the left wall you will hear a phone ringing, you needn’t answer it
but you can if you want. Enter the door that is closer to Alex (and the player)
at the point and go to the door with the colored sigil on it. Cast a Xel’Lotath
aligned Enchant Item on your Gladius and ‘use’ it on the door; this will make
the lock go away. Open the door and enter the pantry, take the Spice Jar from
the Shelf and ‘check; it. ‘Use’ the chapter page to end Chapter Four

Chapter Five: The Lurking Horror – Dr. Maximillian Roivas


First, pick up the Flintlock Pistol Ammo on the table in front of you, then
leave the room (I’m not going to tell you where every bit of Pistol ammo is for
Maximilllian, it’s everywhere, just grab it). After leaving the room, go to
Max’s left, down the hall to the door at the end and enter the room. Pick up
the Open Letter on the bedside table and the Magickal Codex (Redgormor) on the
mantle, now, exit the room and go downstairs. Go to the table with the clock
that sits between the bottom of the two staircases and pick up the letter. Now,
walk to the left wall of the room and enter the door. In this room pick up the
Magickal Codex (Chattur’gha) that sits on the table, and enter the panty to get
the Pump Handle from atop the barrel. After getting the Pump Handle, exit the
room and go to the door at the end of the hallway, walk over to the fireplace
and examine it. Place the stone statue in front of the red Rune and enter the
secret passage. Take the second pistol from the left wall, the Tome Of Eternal
Darkness from the table, the Sabre from the right wall and the Spell Scroll
(Reveal Invisible) from the pile of boxes that stands next to the saber display
case, then exit the room.

Equip the Sabre and kill any servants that attack you, as well as the
Bonetheives that will come from inside them, and venture back to the Foyer to
kill the Horror (‘Attempt Autopsy’ on any creature you kill, it helps to find
any of their weaknesses). After killing the Horror you will receive the
Redgormor (Area) Rune and learn the Reveal Invisible Spell. Now, go upstairs
and take a left, go down the hallway to stained glass window, and pick up the
envelope that is hidden between the left table and the wall (you may have to
use the reveal invisible spell for this). After picking it up, the window will
break and a Bonetheif will break though, kill it and ‘check’ the envelope. Head
downstairs and go first left to kill the Horror and obtain the Chattur’gha
Alignment Rune, then go back downstairs and to the right. Stop at the dead end
with the Xel’Lotath Rune on the wall and cast a Chattur’gha aligned Reveal
Invisible spell. This will make a door appear, ‘use’ the basement key on it and
go through to the basement.

Kill the two Zombies and the Bonetheif here and pick up the Spell Scroll
(Damage Field) from the edge of the well and the Magickal Codex (Bankorok) from
the wall. ‘Use’ the Pump Handle on the pump next to the well to make the water
lower, and then go down the ladder. At the bottom of the ladder there will be a
zombie holding a rune, kill it to acquire the Bankorok (Protect) Rune and head
down the stairs. You will now be faced with a Xel’Lotath Guardian, kill it
anyway you can, I suggest using the new Damage Field spell and from inside that
shooting it, it can also work to just run at it and hit it with a Sabre. After
it is dead you will see a cinematic and in trying to warn the world of the
city, Dr. Maximillian Roivas will be committed to an asylum, thus ending his
chapter in The Tome Of Eternal Darkness.

Chapter Five: The Lurking Horror – Alexandria Roivas

Recover any lost sanity and leave the study, go upstairs, through the door and
take a right, go down the hall and enter the room at the end of the hall. Go
across the room to the dresser on the far side of the room, cast a Chattur’gha
aligned Reveal Invisible Spell and ‘use’ the dresser key on the dresser, then
open the dresser and take the Revolver and the Chapter Page. ‘Use’ the Chapter
Page to end Chapter Five

Chapter Six: A Journey Into Darkness – Dr. Edwin Lindsey

Kill off the two monsters in this room, the way to kill the big one is to
attack its mid-section when it’s wings are opened or from behind. After killing
them off ‘use’ the Archeologist’s Brush on the floor towards the center of the
room and pick up the Bronze Bracelet, then ‘use’ the Bronze Bracelet on the
statue in the front of the room and go through the door it opens. Has you go
through you will be take to the The Hall of the Tome Of Eternal Darkness, take
the Tome and continue through the doorway. Kill the two zombies in this room
and continue through, go halfway down the trapped hallway and to the right to
pick up the Metal Bracelet, then continue down the hall to spider web. ‘Use’
the Archeologists Brush on the spider web to find a Magical Codex (Tier).
Continue through to the adjoined room and take the Bronze Necklace that sits on
the pedestal. Now, backtrack to the room you started in and ‘use’ the bronze
necklace on the Statue where you previously ‘used’ the Bronze Bracelet.

Go through the doorway that opens and pick up the Silver Bracelet that sits on
the pedestal, replace it with the Metal Bracelet you found earlier and continue
through the room. Kill the two zombies in this booby trapped hallway and then
dust away the spider web at the end to get a Magickal Codex (Nethlek). There
are four zombies in the next room, one is holding the Nethlek (Dispel) Rune,
kill him to gain it and continue through the room. Go halfway down the booby
trapped hallway, go to the right and dust off the spider web to get a Spell
Scroll (Dispel Magick), then go left and place the Silver Bracelet on the
Statue. Keep moving down the hall to the room at the end, cast a Chattur’gha
aligned Dispel Magick Spell, and kill the horror, pick up the necklace that was
behind the horror and go back to the hall you just came from. Place the silver
Necklace on the Statue and go through the newly opened door.

Kill the Zombie at the top of the stairs and go down them, on the next platform
is a zombie holding a rune, kill him to get the Aretak (Creature) Rune. Kill
the creature at the bottom of the stairs and go through the Magickal barrier
that will dispel. Go towards the camera, Lindsey’s left, and into the room at
the end of the corridor. Stand on the circle pattern in the back corner of the
room to make the statue look away and the goddess let go of the bracelet, then
take the Gold Bracelet. Leave the room and run down the trapped hallway, in the
next room, cast a Xel’Lotath aligned Dispel Magick Spell. Now exit the room and
go down the trapped hallway, place the Gold Bracelet on the statue about half
way down and continue on. Kill the two zombies in the next room and cast a
Chattur’gha aligned Dispel Magick Spell. Either fight or ignore the zombie in
the next hallway and continue through to the next room, kill the Horror here
and cast a Ulyaoth aligned Dispel Magick Spell, ‘use’ the Archeologist’s Brush
on the web in the left side of the room and pick up the Necklace. Now,
backtrack to the room that had the fountain in it and put the necklace in the
fountain then push the button. Pick up the now Gold Necklace and exit the door
that is straight across the room from the fountain. Place the Gold Necklace on
the Statue and go through the door way it opens.

Kill the three zombies and the Horror that lurk on the stairs here and proceed
down the stairs and through the doorway. Go to Lindsey’s left, down the hall
and into the room at the end, kill off the four zombies here and dust away the
spider web to obtain a Magical Codex (Aretak). Move through the room and down
the next hallway into the room at the end. Kill off the four zombies here and
continue on. Go through the next hallway and kill off the three zombies in the
next room to obtain the Tier (Summon) Rune. Go out of this room and through the
hall way to the next room, kill the zombies here and pick up the Spell Scroll
(Summon Trapper) in the middle of the room.  Now, backtrack all the way back
upstairs, find the wall that casting the three Dispel Magick Spells uncovered
(Yes, it’s a long backtrack, but it’s well worth it). When you get upstairs it
takes less time to get to the wall if you go to Lindsey’s left, once you are
there cast the Summon Trapper Spell and walk it through the hole in the wall,
go across the bridge and have it stand on the small circle on the floor. Now
press Start to release control of the Trapper and turn around to get the
Mantorok Alignment Rune. A Horror will crash through the wall; you can either
fight him or run around him, go to where your Trapper is and use the
Archeologists Brush on the Spider web to get a Magickal Codex (Mantorok).

Note: With the new Mantorok Alignment Rune many spells will have new effects
under it, such as the Reveal Invisible spell under Mantorok makes you
invisible. Try out some of your spells with the Mantorok alignment to get new
results.


Leave the room and head back downstairs to where you just backtracked from,
there’s only one way you can really go and eventually you will be at a corridor
with a turn in it. Follow that corridor to Mantorok’s Chamber and after the
cinematic go behind Mantorok to the door that was opened during the movie. A
spirit will give you the Heart Of Mantorok, Lindsey will then take it to the
Roivas Estate where it will be hidden, thus ending Dr Edwin Lindsey’s Chapter
in the Tome Of Eternal Darkness.

Chapter Six: A Journey Into Darkness – Alexandria Roivas

Leave the Study and go to the large part of the library. Go to the bookcase
shown in the ending cinematic of Lindsey’s Chapter and get the Heart Of
Mantorok (If you haven’t recovered any sanity before doing this a book will fly
to where they heart is located). Now, venture upstairs and go to the stained
glass window. Along the way you will see the ghost of Maximillian Roivas enter
where the servant’s quarters used to be, this will come into play much later.
Cast a Chattur’gha aligned Dispel Magick Spell near the window and take the
Chapter Page that appears, ‘use’ it to end Chapter Six.

Chapter Seven: Heresy! – Paul Luther

From the start of the Seventh Chapter, go straight and through the large double
doors ahead. Go to the front of the Cathedral to trigger a cinematic. After the
cinematic you will be locked in a room. Cross the room to the painting and take
the Emerald from it, after you take the emerald leave the room, you will be
transported to The Hall of the Tome Of Eternal Darkness, take the tome and once
again leave the room. Cross the entry way and go up the stairs, go across the
balcony, avoid the zombie and go through the door. Go up the stairs and ring
the Cathedral’s bell. Watch the movie then go down stairs, back to the main
part of the cathedral. Go towards the altar and take a right, use the key on
the Old Tower Door and enter it. Go straight down the rows of pew, avoiding the
possessed monk and pick up the Spell Scroll (Shield). Now, go back towards the
door and up the stairs to the monk’s study area.  Ignore the Bonetheif and take
the Sheet Of Music from the shelf and the Diary Page from the table, then go
back down stairs and exit the Old Tower. Go up to the altar and take the
corridor left, go through the door and examine the robes to gain a Podium Key
and the Chest to Get a Crossbow. Now, go back out and onto that ‘stage’ area,
to the left is an organ, play the song on the Sheet of Music to open the
Tabernacle (If anyone knows the name of that song, E-mail me). Go over to the
Tabernacle and pick up the Circle Of Power. Now go up to the podium at the
front of the ‘stage,’ ‘use’ the Podium Key and take the paper from inside.
Next, behind the altar there is a set of stairs, go down those stairs, then go
left and into the room, pick up the Book Of Reliquaries and leave the room.
Next go straight out and down the corridor into the room with the bellows. Take
the Mace that hangs on the wall and exit the Bellows Room through the door to
enter the wine storage area, there are a couple Trappers here. Examine the
second barrel on the right and turn the spigot to open a secret passage. In the
secret room is a Horror, kill it to gain the Sapphire. . Now, go back to the
old tower and go into the Bishop’s Chamber, in this chamber kill Anthony and
gain the Two Handed Sword and a Ruby. Now go back to the secret passage where
you fought the horror and place each of the three gems into the Triangle on the
table.

After they are all placed the crypt in the center of the room will move
revealing a set of stairs, go down the stairs. Go down the hallway killing the
three zombies and fight the four in the next room, one is holding a rune, when
you kill him you will get the Pargon (Power) Rune. Exit this room through the
other door and head down stairs, killing the zombie along the way down. Go
through the door and let the two Horrors here duke it out till there is only
one left, then kill that one. Next, exit the room through the door that the
Horrors were near, kill the two zombies here and go through the door at the end
of the hall. Kill the two zombies here and push the shelf, go down the
passageway and kill the two zombies here, in the next room there is once
zombie, kill it and take the Magickal Codex (Pargon) as well as the diary page.

Note: Having gotten the Pargon Rune and having the five point Circle Of Power,
I suggest taking some time now and using the new spell function to recreate all
your current spells with the new Five Point configuration. If you don’t
remember what runes are what spell, use the Check function to look at the
spells you have.

Now, backtrack to the Bell Tower and talk to the custodian, you will watch a
cinematic and be given the Sacrificial Knife. Now, go back to the room where
the two Horror fought and go to the effigy of a monk in the corner (there will
be new monsters spawned along the way), use the knife and it will open a
passage to a new door. Go through the new door and approach the runes on the
floor, use a five point Chattur’gha aligned Dispel Magick Spell and continue
on. Examine the Custodian’s corpse and watch the cinematic then kill the two
bone thieves, leave this room and follow the priest through the marked door. Go
down this hallway and through the door, follow the path of doors and halls and
enter the door with the markings. After entering the door you will see a
cinematic ending with the death of Paul, thus ending the Chapter of Paul Luther
in the Tome Of Eternal Darkness.

Chapter Seven: Heresy! – Alexandria Roivas

Leave the study and go through the library and to the foyer, cross the foyer
and go down the hall to the double doors at the end. Enter this room and go to
the piano, play it and simply play the same song that you did as Paul Luther.
The piano will open and you will find a chapter page, ‘use’ it to end Chapter
Seven.

Chapter Eight: The Forbidden City – Roberto Bianchi

From your beginning, go down the hall in front of you and up the ladder, cross
the room and go down the ladder on the other side. Equip your torch and proceed
down the hall, it will open and there will be a zombie here, set him on fire
with the torch and continue on. Go up the ladder at the end of the hall and
survey the room, to survey a room go towards the middle of it and ‘examine’ it
when you can. Pick up the Crossbow Bolts near the ladder you entered from and
the Saif on the other side of the room, then, leave down the nearby ladder.
Equip your Saif and pull the lever on the wall, kill the zombie that is freed
and pull the lever in his chamber. Now, kill the next two zombies and pull the
lever in their chamber and continue on down the tunnel, killing the three
zombies along the way. Now, go up the ladder and Survey the room, Across the
room from where you entered is a crossbow and a ladder, take the bow and go
down the ladder. Upon going down the ladder you will be transported to the The
Hall of the Tome Of Eternal Darkness, take the tome and go down the ladder
again.

Go down the hallway, shoot the three Trappers and continue on, go up the ladder
and kill the monsters in this room. Take the Spell Scroll (Summon Zombie) from
the center of the room and go down the ladder. Kill the Horror in this corridor
and go through the door at the end. Now, go through the door to the left of the
one you just entered this room from and kill the zombies in here. Go through
the door at the end of this room on the right wall and survey it, then run out,
don’t bother fighting the workers. Now, go down the ladder in this room, there
are two Trappers at the bottom of the ladder, take car of them and go left, go
through the door and let the Horror do the work of killing off the zombies
before killing him. Now, cast a five point Chattur’gha aligned reveal invisible
spell and take the key from it’s pedestal. Next, leave the room and with your
reveal invisible spell still active you should be able to see the Sapphire
Effigy in the wall near the ladder, if not, re-cast it and take the Effigy
before going up the ladder. ‘Use’ the Forgotten Corridor key on the double door
at the end of the room and go through the door. Now, cast a five point shield
spell under any alignment and run across the glowing floor to the door way at
the end of this room. Once through the doorway a gate will close behind you, go
into the circular part of the room and use your Saif to cut the rope holding up
the bridge.

As you cross the bridge you will see a cinematic of worms coming up from the
pit, hit each one with the sword and continue across the bridge. Pull the lever
on the other side of the room and from the middle of the bridge survey the
room. Leave the room and recast your shield to run back across the glowing
floor. Go back across the next room and into the room where you saw the zombie
get crushed, cast the Summon Zombie spell and walk him onto the same place
where the last one got killed, go to the ladder that was just opened up and
follow the corridor, you can either fight or ignore the monsters there, either
way continue through the door at the end and watch the cinematic, once it is
over, pick up the Essence of Ulyaoth and leave the same way you came. Now exit
the room and backtrack your way to the starting point of Roberto’s Chapter.
Just before you get there you will be brought to a cinematic and then
sacrificed into the Pillar of Flesh and Bone, thus ending Roberto Bianchi’s
Chapter in the Tome Of Eternal Darkness.

Chapter Nine: A War To End All Wars – Peter Jacob

From your starting place, turn to the table behind you and pick up the
Soldier’s Letter. Now go to the front of the church and up to the podium, take
the sealed letter from atop it and ‘check’ it. Go to the doors at the other end
of the cathedral hall and go right, ‘use’ the orders on the guard at the door
and go into the room. Pick up the revolver on the bench and leave the room.
Upon leaving will be transported to the The Hall of the Tome Of Eternal
Darkness, take the tome and out the door again. Now, I find it easier to simply
avoid the enemies in this area for the time being, but you may fight them if
you wish. Either way, go to the front of the cathedral and go down the right
corridor, enter the Old Tower and get the torch form the bishop’s chamber. You
can fight the zombies but they will fight themselves and since you don’t yet
have a melee weapon I chose not to fight them. After getting the torch leave
the room go upstairs, get the Two-Handed Sword from the wall and go back
downstairs, now, leave the old tower. From here go to the stairs behind the
altar, pick up the rifle that lies on the altar along your way. Take a left at
the bottom of the stairs and enter each of the two rooms, collect the ammo and
continue down the hall way that led straight from the stairs.

Got into the room on the left first, examine the furnace and turn the wheel.
Now, summon a Trapper and guide it through the hole in the wall, target the
body lying against the door to make it go away and then enter the room. Take
the circle Of Power from the table and left both that room and the furnace
room.

Note: Just like with the five point Circle Of Power, it is a good idea to take
some time now to re-create all your spells under the seven point Circle Of
Power.

Next, Go to the door directly across from the door to the furnace, ‘use’ the
Lucky Penny on the fuse box and pull the lever on the generator to restore
power. Now, go back upstairs to the organ, take the sheet of music and play the
song on the organ, the missing button you can’t see is X. Go over to the now
open tabernacle and take the door handle. Go off of the stage area and go to
the left, cast a seven point Chattur’gha aligned Reveal Invisible spell near
the wall then ‘use’ the door handle and go through the door. Go down the ladder
on the right side of the room. Follow the only possible path killing or
avoiding the monsters along the way until you come to the room with four doors.
First go through the unmarked door opposite the one you entered through, there
are three Trappers in the room and on the sacrificial altar is a Magickal
Elixir, take it and leave the room. Next, go through the second of the unmarked
doors, go down the path into the study like room, there are two trappers in the
first hallway. Kill the Bonetheif here and pick up the Soldier’s Letter, then
push shelf and go down the secret path. There is one Trapper down this path,
take care of it and go through the door. Kill the Trapper and Zombie in this
room and take the key that lies on the shrine, now, backtrack to the room with
four doors and use the key on the marked one. Through this door there is a
hallway with three zombies, kill them and continue down the hall, at the bottom
of the next set of stairs lies a Spell Scroll (Magickal Attack), take it and
move on.

At the end of the next hallway is an Elaborate Door, don’t go through it yet.
First, make sure your Shield, Recover, and Magical Attack are set to a seven
point power level. Also create a new spell, make it in all three power levels
using the runes Redgormor (Area) and Tier (Summon) this will make the Spell 11.
Cast it at a seven point level under Mantorok alignment, this will keep all
your level up fairly well for a while in the fight to come. Also, cast a seven
point Xel’Lotath aligned Shield (if you don’t have the Magickal Energy to do
both, run around some till it comes back). Now, wait for your Magickal Energy
and any other level to fill completely, and then, set all three levels of
Magickal Attack under Chattur’gha alignment to their own Quick Spell. Finally,
if your Spell 11 has run out, re-cast it, save your game, and go through the
door.

After the movie move back in the room a little way and start pacing back and
forth through the room, as soon as the spell the Guardian Of Xel’Lotath casts
hits the ground (or a split second before) cast a seven point Chattur’gha
aligned Magickal Attack. If the Spell does hit you, don’t worry, just break
free and run more. Once the Magical Attack at seven points make a hit while she
is glowing, a short cinematic will play and she will summon three zombies. Cast
a three point Damage Field and for now, just sit and wait, after she finishes
glowing and the zombies have all disappeared, she will summon three more. As
soon as the first last appears, start casting a seven point Magickal Attack
with the Chattur’gha alignment, if you don’t have enough Magickal Energy to do
so, use a Magickal Elixir. One that hit connects you will be forced to start
running, run in circles around her hole in the ground until she stops firing
and starts glowing, when she stops, cast a three point Magickal Attack spell
with Chattur’gha alignment. You will have to cast and connect with this three
consecutive times, if you stop moving before she starts to glow, however, she
will attack you, so make sure you keep moving (if you ever run out of stamina,
just walk, you wont get hit, or at least shouldn’t, just don’t stop moving).
After the third hit she will be defeated and the stained glass wall will
shatter. Collect the Essence Of Chattur’gha and watch the following cinematic,
Peter will give the Essence of Chattur’gha to Edward Roivas and thus ending
Peter Jacobs Chapter in the Tome Of Eternal Darkness.

Note: if you happen to die in this fight, simply load and start over, the
reason I have you save after casting all the spell sand such is so you are
ready to go as soon as you load the game.

Chapter Nine: A War To End All Wars – Alexandria Roivas

Exit the study and talk to the spirit girl that appears, take the basement key
that she leaves behind and go to the basement door. Unlock it and go down, go
over to the fuse box and open it, then place the lucky penny into the broken
fuse slot and trip the breaker. Now, go upstairs and go left, Go through the
room that you get to by going straight down the hall, pick up the page from the
Journal of M. Roivas and then examine and open the medicine cabinet. Take the
Chapter Page and ‘use’ it to end Chapter Nine.

Chapter Ten: A Legacy Of Darkness – Dr. Edward M. Roivas

First off, go towards the fireplace and pick up the Historical Journal, ‘check’
it to get the Minute Hand of a Clock. Now, leave the library and go to the
foyer, go to the left of the foyer and through the double door at the end of
the hall. Cross this room and pick up the Sabre sitting on display and leave
the room. Head upstairs and through the upstairs door, take a left and go
through the door on the right at the end of the hall. Take the Historical
Journal from the bench and ‘check’ it to get the Hour Hand of a Clock, now, go
back down to the library and to the grandfather clock that you set at the
beginning of the game. Before setting the clock, collect the Spell Scroll
(Magick Pool) from the desk chair then ‘use’ both hands and set the time to
Three Thirty Three. Collect the Revolver from the wall by the door of the study
and then pick up the Tome Of Eternal Darkness. Now, leave the study and collect
the half of the key that was located in the vase, you will also want to kill
the servant that tries to attack you. Before leaving the library, cast a seven
point Mantorok aligned Shield spell and then venture upstairs.

Take a left once upstairs and watch the small cinematic, go in the room at the
end of the hall and attack the creature. After it has been damaged enough, it
will go downstairs to heal, leaving you alone for a couple minutes. Talk to the
servant in this room and he will give you the Gun Cabinet Key, now, go to the
room where you picked up the second Historical Journal and unlock the Gun
Cabinet. Take the Elephant Gun from the cabinet and go downstairs, wander from
room to room for a while until the creature decides to attack again, it’s next
attack appears to be based on time, not on what room you are in. The creature
will attack the servant in the room with the Gun Cabinet, go there and attack
it once again. After it runs off, talk to the servant to get some Elephant Gun
Ammo and go though rooms for a while again, this time when the creature
appears, it will attack a servant in the Foyer. Attack the creature there and
kill the possessed servant, when it runs off, it will leave the Top Half of the
Basement Key. Combine the two halves to make the Broken Basement Key and then
Enchant the broken key to repair it. Unlock the door to the basement, but
before going in you will want to recast your shield, once downstairs, don’t
attack the creature, go after the Obelisk in the wall of the basement. After of
couple hits the Obelisk will be destroyed and the creature will no longer be
able to regenerate, now you can kill it off. Once the creature is dead, take
the Double Shotgun from the back wall, the Spell Scroll (Summon Horror) from
the shelf on the right of the basement and all the ammo around (you’ll need
it).

Now, go down the ladder, the stairs ant the bottom of it and then down the
first set of stairs in the opening room. From here, I find it easiest to summon
a Horror and use it to fight the other two. No matter how you do it, after they
are dead continue on into the next room. In here you can either fight the two
creatures, or, simply go around them and through the door at the far end of the
room (if you don’t kill them you will have to deal with them many times in the
future, but some people, like me, don’t want to take the time). In the next
room you will see a large Stargate looking thing. Around it’s outer edge are
nine power arrays, combines they will act like a massive Circle Of Power,
starting with the one on the closest left you will activate them, after you
activate them step on to the transporter ring and be transported to a pillar.
On the first pillar, scribe Pargon (you don’t have any other choice). Once it’s
been scribed, go back to the transport ring that will put you into a room with
two Horrors. I suggest simply running to the other side of the room, pulling
the lever and leaving the room through the newly unblocked passageway. Go back
to the door and into the array room, engage the next one and once at the pillar
scribe Redgormor (Area). After scribing it go through the transport, in this
room is a Horror and some trappers. As a general rule for this stage of the
game I suggest simply avoiding the monsters, it’s just not worth the time. Now,
go across the bridge in front of you and pull the lever, exit through room
through the doorway you just unblocked and pass through the next room as well.
Go through the array door and engage the next array, on this pillar, scribe
Pargon then leave. In this room, go to the lever at the top of the screen and
pull it, this will let loose a Trapper, a Horror and a Zombie. Once again, I
suggest just leaving the room and going back to the array area, engage the next
array and scribe Pargon upon it as well. After leaving the pillar, pull the
lever in the middle of the room, watch the brief cut scene and go through the
doorway, go into the array area and engage the next array. On this pillar there
will be a trapper, dispose of it and scribe Chattur’gha on the pillar. After
leaving that pillar, ignore the guardian in the next room and go up the stairs,
pull the lever then exit the room.

Next, as always, go into the array room and engage the next one. On this
pillar, scribe the rune Pargon and leave the pillar. In the room you are
transported to there are a few trappers, do what you will with them and then
pull the lever and leave the room. In the next room go to Edwards’s right and
up the stairs to exit that room, then go to engage another array. Scribe Pargon
on this pillar as well then leave, in the room you are transported to, cross
the room and pull the lever, then exit the room. Follow this now well known
path to the engage the next array, on the pillar there is a trapper, take care
of it and then scribe the Nethlek (Dispel) Rune. Leave the pillar and go either
right or left in the next room, cross the room to the stairs where the Guardian
is, cast a 5 point Chattur’gha aligned Dispel Magick spell and go up the
stairs. Pull the lever at the top of the stairs and exit the room through the
doorway, now go to the engage the next, and final array.. The last rune is
Pargon, after scribing it and leaving the pillar go down the stairs and kill
the Horror that is in this room. After it is dead follow the path towards the
Guardian here, squeeze around him and his damage field and pull the lever to
get rid of the barrier on the door. If you can’t get around the barrier, cast a
five point Chattur’gha aligned Dispel Magick spell. After the barrier across
the door is gone, go through it and in the next room go straight across the
room and through the door way, now go back out of the city the same way you
came in. Once you get to the small observation deck thing a cinematic will play
showing the city being lain to waste, however even with Edward having destroyed
the city, there is still a matter of the Guardian that Pious cast who ‘could
not leave this plane’ until Edward was dead. Forty-Eight years later, that
Guardian finishes the task it was summoned to do, thus ending the Chapter of
Dr. Edward M. Roivas in the Tome Of Eternal Darkness.

Chapter Ten: A Legacy Of Darkness – Alexandria Roivas

Leave the study and go down to the basement, examine the barrels and take the
Pickax. Also, take the shotgun that hangs on the wall and then leave the
basement. GO all the way up to the second floor and to where the servant’s
quarters used to be, you can tell because of the discolored wall paper. ‘Use’
the pickax here and then cast a three point Ulyaoth aligned Dispel Magick spell
and take the journal page and the Stethoscope. Leave the servant’s quarters and
kill the two Bonetheives that are now outside. Once they are dead go back to
the basement and use the Stethoscope on the safe, along your way downstairs
four new zombies will have spawned in the foyer area of the house. To crack the
safe simply turn the dial and wait for the tumblers to fall into place, you
will hear them fall in as you turn the dial; I cannot tell you the combo
because it seems to change every time you play the game. Take all the items
that are in the safe, then ‘use’ the Chapter Page to end Chapter Ten.

Chapter Eleven: Ashes To Ashes – Michael Edwards

After the opening cinematic you will receive the ruby and Sapphire Effigies, as
well as the Essence of Ulyaoth. Now, equip your Fire Ax and kill the five
zombies in this chamber. Once the zombies are dead, go to the only door here,
examine the body near the door to gain an Assault Rifle, a Pistol and ammo for
each, and then leave the room.

Note: the Assault rifle has four firing modes, single shot, three round burst,
six round burst and grenade launcher. I advise leaving it on single shot for
killing monsters and grenade for killing large groups seeing as you will not
find any more ammunition for this gun anywhere.

In the next room there will be a large winged creature, kill it as well as any
zombie it summons through the fight, once they are dead, go down the ladder in
the center of the room. Once down the ladder two creatures, a Zombie and a
Trapper will come after you, kill them off and go up the first ladder. In this
room are two of the large winged creatures, I suggest killing these two. Either
way, collect the Gold Amulet to the left of the room on the pedestal and then
leave the same way you came. Continue down the hall and kill off the two more
Zombies and one Trapper along the way to the next ladder. In this room there
are five zombies, wither kill them or ignore them and take the staff from the
center of the room before leaving. Now, keep going down the hall and go up the
last ladder, in this room, mix the staff and the amulet to create a new staff.
‘Use’ the staff on the pedestal that has the light shining on it. Point the
light first at the two small globes on the city model, then at the larger
tower. Go down the ladder passage that was opened behind where you stand and
take the Tome of Eternal Darkness from it’s place. One again go down the ladder
and in the next room there is nothing but some trappers, continue through to
the ladder on the other end of the room. In this room are two Horrors, kill
them then go down the ladder at the other end of the room. Venture down this
hall and around it’s bend to the opening at the end deliver one shot to each of
the three worm heads that rise out of the center of the floor and then cast a
five point Chattur’gha aligned Dispel Magick spell. Collect the Emerald Effigy
from it’s pedestal and then turn around and go up the ladder in the hallway
that is adjoined to that room.

Personally I like to just run and hide in a corner somewhere and let the Horror
and the two Zombies in this room due it out themselves, it saves valuable ammo.
However, if you are impatient, cast a couple Magickal Attacks while they fight
to hurry the process, if you are lucky you won’t have to fight even the Horror.
Anyway, once everything in that room is dead, go down the ladder in the center
of the room, in this hall, either fight off the zombies and the winged
creature, or just run by them and through the door at the end of the room. In
this next room, kill off the four trappers and then go through the only other
door here. Destroy the five Zombies in this next room and then go through the
door at the end of the room on the right. Kill of the three zombies here and
approach the picture of the red warrior. Place the Emerald Effigy here and then
go to the blue picture of the wizard. Here, place the Ruby Effigy and then the
Sapphire Effigy will go under the green picture. Next, exit that room and go to
where the staircase was just opened, pick up the Enchanted Gladius here and
then go back up the stairs and into the room that connects to where you just
solved the Effigy Puzzle.

Summon a trapper and use it to get rid of the stone Obelisk in this room. Go
down the ladder behind it, kill the two trappers and then go down the next
ladder. First, go to the shrine and pick up the Spell Scroll (Bind), then, turn
around and go past the ladder into the next area. Use the New Spell function to
create the Bind spell in a seven point form. Approach the barrier around the
corner and cast Bind under the Chattur’gha alignment, let the two horrors fight
it out, no mater which one dies, kill the remaining one. Enter the room that
they were in and pick up the Plastic Explosives, now, go back up both ladders
and cast a seven point Chattur’gha aligned Reveal Invisible spell. Go through
the door that you can now see and on the floor will be a man holding Detonator
Caps. Take the caps and ‘mix’ the Plastic Explosives and the Detonator Caps to
make a C4 Bomb. Now, cast a five point Shield spell and run across the
enchanted floor, in the next room, go across the bride, once you ar halfway
three worms will rise from the depths. Put a bullet into each and then cast a
seven point Enchant Item under Chattur’gha alignment spell on the C4 Bomb. Run
around until you have enough Magickal Energy, then cast a five point shield
again, ‘use’ the bomb I the middle of the bride and start running! You are
going to ignore every monster you come across and just keep going at this
point. Go back across the enchanted floor and through the door around the bend.
Head straight across the room and through the door, then through the door
adjacent to that on the right. Run down the hall, up the first ladder and down
the ladder on the other side of the room. Run down this hall as well and up the
ladder at the end, cross to the opposite side of the net room and through the
double doors, go up this next ladder and you will safely be out of the
Forbidden City. In the cinematic, Mike will give both the Enchanted Gladius and
the Essence of Ulyaoth to Edward and then disappear into the night, thus ending
the Chapter of Michael Edwards in the Tome OF Eternal Darkness

Chapter Eleven: Ashes To Ashes – Alexandria Roivas

Exit the study and kill the two zombies in the hallway, once you are in the
bigger area of the library, kill the two zombies and go straight across the
room. Go through the door into the Observatory and adjust each one of the
mirrors so the hit another, the last one should be adjusted to hit the defined
spot on the globe on the floor. Now, go into the Foyer, there are five zombies,
here, kill them all off and once you are a little way into the foyer the
doorbell will ring and someone will drop off a package. ‘Check’ the package to
get the Essence Of Ulyaoth and the Enchanted Gladius. Now, go downstairs and
into the only door in the basement, then down the ladder to the Forbidden City.

Cross the first area and go into the room on the opposite end, cast a seven
point shield and run across the enchanted floor, just before the stairs that go
down to the doors for the array room, cast a seven point Chattur’gha aligned
Dispel Magick spell. In the last little sprint to the door you will take some
damage by the floor, but not much. In the next room, collect the Pedestal
Fragments from the floor behind and in front of the Stargate thing, mix and
enchant them, then ‘use; it on the damaged podium. Now, place one of each of
the Essences of the Ancients on each podium, doing this will activate the room
and make it ready to use.

Next, activate first array on the left (this will be done in the same pattern
as was done with Edward), go through the portal and take care of the three
Trappers here, then scribe Pargon on the pillar. Take the portal off the
pillar, cast a seven point Chattur’gha Reveal Invisible spell and go up the
stairs and to the left. Once again cast a seven point Shield spell and run down
to the door, at the next pillar, scribe the Aretak (creature) rune and leave
the pillar. Go down the stairs in front of you and through the door way to the
right, continue straight across the next room. You should still have more than
enough shield left to make it across the enchanted floor and to the array room.
On the next pillar, scribe Pargon, and leave the pillar. Here, summon an
Ulyaoth Trapper and place it on the circle by the blue pillar. Summon a
Chattur’gha Zombie and place it on the circle under the red pillar and finally
summon a Xel’Lotath Horror and place it on the circle by the green pillar. Now,
go through the open doorway, recast a five point shield and go to the array
room. Activate the next array, kill off the Trapper, scribe Pargon on the
pillar and then take your leave from the pillar. In the next room, sneak across
the floor and go towards Alex’s left to the doorway and then go to the door to
the array room. On the pillar for the next rune, scribe Chattur’gha and then
leave, go around the trappers in this room and through the door that lies
directly behind you.

Recast your shield and go to the array door, engage the next array and scribe
Pargon on it, be ware of the Trapper here. Now, leave the pillar, cast a Reveal
Invisible spell then sneak around all the Trappers, the door is on the opposite
side of the room that Alex faces when you enter. Sneak around the Trappers in
this next room as well and go through the door way that is to Alex’s right when
she enters the room. Once again, recast your shield and run to the array room,
on the pillar, scribe Pargon and then leave. Here, venture to the middle area
of the room and cast a seven point Magickal attack under any alignment and them
leave through the door way. The door in this next room in up the stairs on
Alex’s left, once through you will again be in the room with the enchanted
floor. Recast your shield and run to the array room, inside, activate the next
array and go to the pillar. Here, scribe the Tier (summon) rune, and then
leave. Cast a seven point shield and go down the stairs to the right. Before
stepping off the stairs, cast a seven point Chattur’gha aligned Dispel Magick
spell, then go through the door way. Now, run to the array room once again and
active the next and final pillar, upon this pillar scribe Pargon and then
leave. Here, cast a seven point Chattur’gha aligned Bind Spell. Hopefully, two
of the Horrors will die in the fight with one another, if only yours dies, cast
bind again and let those two fight so you don’t have to do so much work. Kill
off the last Horror and go through the door at the other end of the room, cast
a new shield and run across the enchanted floor to the door straight ahead of
you, then across the next floor to the door into the array room. Be sure you
save when the game asks you to because no matter how close you follow a guide,
it’s still possible to die in the coming fight. Upon going through the portal,
you will be presented with a cinematic showing the summoning of the Ancients
(among other things), thus ending Chapter Eleven in the Tome Of Eternal
Darkness.

Chapter Twelve, Finale: Gateway To Destiny – Alexandria Roivas

Note: These are just a few tips for things as you are fighting the last fight.
-Only use the Enchanted Gladius for this fight.
-Before going through the portal, cast a seven point shield.
-Don’t worry about regaining Sanity, it doesn’t matter at this point.
-If you need to regain life, do it in three point bursts, you wont have time
for anything else.
-Try to always attack Pious from behind him so he can’t hit you.
-When you are one of the spirits, you cannot get hit, so avoid pious and go
straight for the artifact.
-Be sure to not get stuck inside one of Pious’s Damage Fields, if you do you
pretty much have to start over because he will usually attack you before you
can totally cast Dispel Magick.

At the start of the battle, target Pious and attack from a distance, Alex can
throw the Enchanted Gladius as many times as she wants. This hit will make
pious make the artifact appear, run past him and hit the artifact. You will
repeat this process of hitting first Pious then the Artifact two more times
before you will take control of the spirit of one of the deceased characters.
Use each character to attack the artifact once, then use Alex to attack pious
then the artifact. The process if really very simple, however, if you do get
hurt as one of the spirits, you will have to use Alex to attack pious and then
the artifact again to make the spirit come back. After you have gone through
three on the deceased characters a short cinematic will play. Once you’ve gone
through all the other characters (ending with Roberto) another cinematic will
play showing your Ancient starting to win the fight. Now, just go after Pious,
it takes about twelve hits to finish him off, and as he dies a few cinematic
will play and you will become the spirit of Edward for a moment. Change the
rune to Bantork (Bind) and watch the final cinematic this will finish the game
and forever close the pages of the Tome OF Eternal Darkness…. Or does it?
