Cleared Beach Volley Folly Twice but no bday cake unlock??

So I've read everywhere that you need to beat beach volley folly's "tourney mode" by which people mean battle mode, where you face six straight games in a row and restart if you lose. I HAVE cleared it. Twice. Once by myself and once with a friend, and nothing has unlocked (no birthday cake in the mini game house in Shy Guys area). I've gotten literally everything else including expert mode. What am I doing wrong? Is it a glitch?
