Jump on your bike crank the throttle and go for a ride!!!

This game is a motorcycle racer that uses tricks as well. There are several venues championship, practice single race and multi player. Jerry first graced the PS1 and this is hid first appearance on the cube.

Graphics: 7/10

The graphics are actually good but there is a lack of things to show them off. There are several tracks available but the tracks are barren. The frame rate is solid and gives a good sense of speed. There are several tricks you can do but the controller makes it awkward to actually do them. The championship mode takes you through several tracks. There are no differences between the bikes the 125 looks just like the 400's and to be honest no handling differences. The game had a lot of potential but the lack of detail in handling and graphics give the sense of riding the same bike over and over. The only good thing about the graphics is the framerate which gives a good sense of speed and the tricks look pretty good as well.

Game Play: 7/10

The main mode is championship where you take a rider and make your way to being a champion. The races can be pretty tight and close especially if you try and do tricks when jumping as a lot of times you will crash as it is awkward to do tricks. Multi Player allows racers to square off against each other using split screen. It is one of the better parts of the game. You can practice stunts or just go for a single race. The main thing missing the PS1 had was the track creator to allow for unlimited new tracks a big part missing.

Controls: 6/10

The basics are easy the gas and brake but the tricks are what becomes tricky. The button configuration makes it almost impossible not to take your hand off the controller making a crash immenent. To just race it is straight forward gas brake left and right. You can lean back to take a jump and lean forward or back to land the jump. You can't really fall off the bike unless you crash so tight turns are not worrisome.

Sound : 6/10

The music is acceptable, the motorcycle sounds are done ok nothing spectacular but decent enough. There could have been some real good additions if they would have taken some time with the music by adding more decent tracks.

Replayability : 6/10

There is some replayability to the game mostly with the two players mode. The missing track editor could really have added much replay here not sure why it was missing.

Over All : 7/10

This could have been a great game for the cube but with the controller flaws and barren tracks it become a mediocre at best. Unless you are a motorcycle fanatic I would suggest renting first before you buy.

Rating:   3.5 - Good
