Krusty Burger? That doesn't sound very appetizing. What type of stew do you have today?

Acclaim really does nothing but infuriate me. They go and buy one of the greatest licenses out there, namely the Simpsons and they go and release some of the worst NES games out there. Bart vs the World, Bart vs the Space Mutants, both very bad games. Well, Krusty's Fun House is no exception.

You play as Krusty. It sounds like fun, ‘cause Krusty is funny. It's not, and in the game, he's not. You have to kill mice in your ‘Fun House' (which, by the way was invented solely for the game) by tricking them into ‘zany' (read lame) mouse traps. You move bricks and stuff, so they'll walk into the traps on their own accord, it's really no fun at all.

Graphics - For the Game Boy, they're not bad. The characters do look like themselves, but they don't act like themselves. I don't care how many rats Krusty has in his house, Krusty would never jump and smile at the same time.

Sound - Crap music, decent sound effects. Actually Krusty throwing a pie sounds pretty good, the rest of it is just average.

Game play - Both hard and boring. Moving those mice around is way too hard. For the first couple levels, it's really not that complicated, but eventually, it gets nearly impossible. Plus stupid enemies (flying pigs, aliens, snakes) are in his fun house, and have a tendency to beat your ass mercilessly.

In closing, this game is better then the NES version, but that's not saying much. It's portable, but other than that this game has nothing going for it.

Rating:   1.5 - Bad
