Squishin' lil' creatures with Tetris blocks has never been this much fun!
Probably no one has heard of this game, but it is the best Tetris game I have ever played. This is practicly regular Tetris, but with bombs, battle modes, and much more fun. I'll explain the blast part of it to you: practcly every tetris block has a small bomb in it. If you get four of the small bombs touching each other in a square, it will make a big bomb. When you make a row with a big bomb in it, it will explode. The explosion will take a way A LOT of blocks. If you get more than one big bomb, then a ton of blocks will disapear. You get the point.
The graphics are pretty much the same as regular Tetris for GameBoy. The game doesn't need fancy graphics. What it has is fine.
Nothing special here. Just standard GameBoy music and sound.
This is where the game truly shines. This game has a practice mode, a tournement mode, and best of all, a battle mode. The battle mode puts you on a regular Tetris level, but with a single enemy. You try to kill the enemy by blowing it up with big bombs, dropping blocks on it, or by getting all of the blocks of the screen. The enemies have special abilities, such as eating big bombs, producing more blocks, and flying through blocks. This mode doesn't provide an immense challenge, but it is still fun.
This game will keep you playing for hours!
Buy or Rent: Buy. You can probably get this game for less than $10. If you aren't fans of the puzzle genre, then you might want to rent it first.
The only puzzle games that can compare to this are Bust-A-Move and Tetris Attack.
