  2. Everyone knows a mean-looking being of pure dark energy is a bad thing.
    A guy in a mask is probably a superhero.
    A hero is a much better disguise to command people, who think you are helping, but people are likely to see an entity of shadows as rather... untrustworthy.

  3. Wilfre is being Salem so he can infiltrate the base and sabotage you. It sounds crazy, but it works. Also so he can gain intel on the good people on the floating turtle.
