Maxing stats can it be done ?

Like att/skills when lvling does it have a cap on them I would just like to know before I mess my guys up. thanks

I imagine the maximum would be 999, though attaining such power is impossible without using a cheat device...
Instead, I would suggest you distribute points towards abilities you know your characters will be good at.
There's not enough points to maximize everything anyway, so I think a cap of 230+ is a good way to make
your characters tough.
Here's what I would distribute them to:
Goku - Tec/Skill and Speed or Defense
Gohan - Defense/Recovery to begin with, then Tec/Skill
Piccolo - Defense and Recovery near equal and Tec/Skill
Krillin - Speed/Luck and Defense, then use whatever remains on Recovery
Yamcha - Luck (for enhancing his Item Drop success ability) and Attack or Tec/Skill
Tien - Luck (for his Containment Wave success) and Tec/Skill
