Opening :

===============================================================================

This guide is about using your radar and drill to find fossil.
I didn't include any of the quests with fossils as reward.

This is my first guide.

Info :

Dinosaur King is a RPG game for the DS.
The game by itself is simple and the story is no Xenosaga.
The beginning of the game is especially easy and made for kids.
Finding all the dinosaurs is not a easy task however since some dinosaurs
are only found by doing some quests while others are only found by digging
fossils in a certain area and some of them are very rare.
While the game may seem childish, finishing the encyclopedia is
very challenging. You need patience, determination and a Wi-Fi connection for
Megaraptor.

Dinosaur King and me :

I am not a Dinosaur King fan in any way.
I don't have any cards. I think I never even saw one.
I only saw a few episodes of the series and only after playing this game.
I did enjoy this game, however the game is intented for younger gamers with
little experience in the RPG gaming and can be a little frustrating in that
aspect to older more experienced gamers.

Enjoy !

===============================================================================

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes :

In this section, each area with fossils to unearth are listed with the
dinosaurs you can get from them.

The locations are listed by continents in the order you can access them.

In each continent, the areas are in the order you access them.

In each chart, the dinosaurs are in their encyclopedia entry, not rarity.

The towns, the D-Lab and the Alpha Headquarters are the only places
without fossils or anything else for that matter to dig.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to read :

Example : White 015 Baryonyx 4 Defense

-White, the color of the dot the fossil will be on the radar and
the strenght the radar and drill need to be to see and dig it.
White : Need the basic radar and drill.
Yellow : Need the advanced radar and drill.
Orange : Need the super deluxe radar and drill.
Red : Need the Ultimate radar and Master's drill.

-015 is the number of the dinosaur in the Dinosaur Encyclopedia.

-Baryonyx is the name of the dinosaur.

-4 is the rarity of the dinosaur.
Rarity is the way to tell the power of a dinosaur,
not the actual rarity of the dinosaur itself.
1 is the weakest and 6 the strongest.

-Defense is the battle type of the dinosaur.
Some dinosaurs can change type, if found in different locations.
Iguanodon is Attack type in Europe, Blitz in Asia and Defense in Antarctica.

Stone Circle :

===============================================================================

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes :

This is the codes for the Stone Circle in South Euro Plain.
You get the dinosaur at level 1 when you get the chest in the Shrine.
Not directly related to my Guide and I didn't find those code,
but I'm including them for easy access.

You need to beat the game once for the Stone Circle.

All those codes are for one time only each.

* : You'll get Chomp if you play as Max and Ace as Rex.

FAQ :

===============================================================================

Q-Why can't I find X dinosaur in X Location ?

A-First, are you in the right place ?
Seriously with names that all look alike...
Second, do you have the right radar and drill ?
You can't find Ampelosaurus until you have the Master's drill.
Finally, some fossils are very rare and sometimes you are just plain unlucky.

Q-Is digging the only way to get X dinosaur ?

A-There's a lot of fossils given as reward from quests.
The most famous is the Tyrannosaurus from a quest in South Dust Hills.
Never miss on quest.

Q-Where is Dinoman ?

A-He's in Euro Town. He's Dr. Taylor with a black mask.
Talking to Dr.Taylor in the D-Lab will not give you dinosaurs.

Q-Why Dinoman doesn't give me a Dinosaur ?

A-For Mapusaurus, you need to have 55 normal dinosaurs. Helpers and EX dinosaurs
don't count.

Q-What do I get by getting all 72 dinosaurs ?

A-Dinoman will give you a Eoraptor Lunensis, a Rainbow dinosaur that can use all
the move cards. Eoraptor is a EX dinosaur.

Q-Why can't I go to East Dust Hills yet !

A-East Dust Hills and the Alpha Secret Base are only available post game, like
Africa.

Q-Where's Pachycephalosaurus, Deinonychus, Fukuisaurus, Fukuiraptor and
Gastonia ?

A-I don't know. Really I don't.
