  1. I forget how much each bridge cost, but I'm assuming you just built the first bridge that leads to the Festival area. Take advantage of the festivals & do everything you can to win Wonderful stones. Watering becomes much easier when you get a blue &/or red wonderful on your watering can; which means you can grow more crops with less work = More money for you.

Early in the game, when you can't get to the mine yet, the only way you can make money is by growing crops & shipping items you forage or fish. Milk & eggs earn money too, but you'll first have to spend money to build their respective buildings. It is a toss up & therefore personal preference whether building the 2nd bridge (unlocking the mine) or building a chicken coop or barn should be your next big purchase. Personally, I think building the 2nd bridge is the best thing to do because you'll unlock 3 main characters & 3 sub villagers along with being able to forage a TON of new items as well as earning at least 1000g a day in mining items (without any Orange wonderfuls on your hammer).

So, in the meantime, grow as many crops as you can handle watering, ship all the flowers you forage, & eat at the Diner/Cafe to grow & water even more crops. If you can't eat at the Diner/Cafe yet then save & eat the wild grasses/herbs you forage. And fish whenever you can. You may want to eat as many small fish as it takes to maintain & improve your fatigue/stamina (if no Cafe/Diner) & ship the rest. Medium & large fish sell for a really nice amount of money, so definitely dont eat those.

By the way, ship anything you want to be paid for. Never sell anything to Chen because he'll give you very little compared to what you'll get if you ship it.

  1. Grow Alot of crops and open up a barn for chickens or cows

In my opinion cows give you alot more money.

  2. Crops and fishing are the best early on (which seems to be where you are). Use the grass you find to replenish your Stamina. Mining is great once you have the mine unlocked, but that's a ways in. Focus on your crops, and try not to spend money on anything but bridges for now; the more bridges you place, the easier money making becomes.

  3. Fishing can earn you a lot of money, and you can catch about 20 fish in one day. If you try this, bring gathered herbs along to replenish your stamina, just in case the fishing takes a lot out of you.

Another tip: Never sell your items to Chen. If you ship items via the shipping bin, depending on their quaIity, they'll sell for a lot more.

Last, sell your milk! Put it in the shipping bin. A cow is a really easy animal to make happy, so although the intial friendship-courting will be slow, as long as your cow is happy it can eventually produce one S-quality milk a day.

Using these strategies, I make 10,000-20,000 per day. Works for me.

EXTRA HINT: If you have chickens, build a stone fence in front of their coop, making a little 5 by 5 fenced in area (completely fence it in, so that no wild dogs can get it. When tomorow's weather (as told be Taro) will be sunny, your chickens will be happy to stay outside, and you won't have to feed them. This way, you barely have to spend any on chicken feed.

  4. If you head over to the FAQs section, there's an entire FAQ on making money. But, given that you've just opened the first bridge (I think), your best bet would be to make as much money as possible from fishing, and try to get Wonderfuls to upgrade your tools, as this will make earning easier. Also, participate in the festivals as much as possible. If you haven't got the fishing rod, you'll need to become better friends with Taro (try giving him a magic grass each day), he will then turn up at your house one day with the fishing rod.
    Hope that helps.

  5. If you have the mine opened, equip a ton of orange wonderfuls on your hammer and mine. You can make tons of money.
