  1. It evolves at level 20.
    If you just caught your Magikarp, it'll evolve on the next level.

    Check if it's holding an Everstone or not, that item prevents Evolution.

  1. It will just evolve the next level. Don't press B button during evolution nor let it hold items that prevent evolution.

  2. All of my books sat that it evolves @ Lv. 20, but I have had the same trouble in some of the older games and ity would evolve @ the next digit of 5 or 10 depending on the game I was playin. Your karp should evolve @ lv. 30 either way (2 digits of 5 equil one digit of 10).
