Contra III: The Alien Wars Cheats
30 Lives (Japanese Version)
This is for the japanese version only. At the title screen do a hadoken style motion that is Down, Down+Right, Right and press start. You should hear the player dieing sound effect if done correctly. You should position your cursor before entering it or you will start a 2 player game. You can position it above options and when you enter the options menu it will say Player Lives 30. The code remains enabled unless you change how many lives you start with in the options. If you do you must reenter the code.

Sound Test (Japanese version only)
At the title screen, quickly press: Right, Right-Down, Right and X. If done correctly you'll access the sound test.
Stage Select (Japanese version only)
At the title screen, quickly press: Down, Down-Left, Left, Up-Left, Up and Start for a 1-players stage select. Down, Down-Left, Left and Start for a 2-players stage select. If done correctly you should see the stage select screen.
Note: It will speed up the process if you use a turbo controller.
When you get to level 3, fight your way through the stage until you get to the mini boss "The Flying Squito Nest" (the mini boss after you climb the building). Make sure you have the machine gun as your weapon or this won't work. Position your character as far to the left of the screen as you can and have him facing the right. Tape down the Y button and turn on your turbo mode. Set your controller down and come back in a few minutes to get a lot of lives (your lives max out when they get to 29).
Donkey Kong Country Cheats
Effect Code Bad Buddy Code (Free Switching between 2 players) On game select screen, highlight erase data, press B, A, Down, B, Up, Down, Down, Y and then A. Music Test Highlight ''Erase game'' and press Down, A,R,B,Y, Down, A,Y, then press Select. Practice the bonus rounds While the intro is playing, press Down, Y, Down, Down, Y. Start with 50 Lives Go to File Select Screen, select Erase Game (should flash), press B, A, R, R, A, L. Now choose a game.
Infinite Lives Glitch
Go to Millstone Mayhem as Diddy Kong. Lure the Krusha from the first screen back to the entrance. Stand on top of the entrance itself, and wait for the Krusha to walk towards you. Just before he reaches the entrance, slide down and hold the control stick left. If done correctly, Diddy will bounce off the Krusha's chest and back onto the entrance, resulting in both characters' animations getting stuck. As each bounce registers as a hit, you'll automatically rack up extra lives. The counter display stops at 99, but can go beyond that. Once you think you've gotten enough lives, let go of the control stick to return things back to normal.
Jump in mid-air.
This works in the stage, "Mine Cart Carnage". Hit the Star Barrel in the level, and then either die or pause and press "Select". Enter the stage again. When the Star Barrel explodes, IMMEDIATELY press Y and B simultaneously. You should now be jumping in the air, keep jumping by pressing Y and B in succession. You can use this glitch to jump all the way to the end of the stage.
NOTE: Do not backtrack to the beginning, as the glitch will stop functioning when you go back to the start.

Blast through mine cart carnage
Near the begining jump over the cannon and fall next to the wall underneath. You should get blasted out of a cannon and sent in a cart almost all the way to the end of the level.

Warp past Stop & Go Station.
As soon as you start the level, walk left back into the entrance. You will warp to the end of the stage, where some manuevering will get you past the level.

Blue Balloons In Jungle Hijinxs
Blue Balloons are the rarest items in the game. However, two of them are hidden in Jungle Hijinxs, the very first level. Ride Rambi all the way to the end of the level, but don't leave. Instead, jump on top of the exit and climb to the very edge of the screen. Jump up and dismount Rambi while in midair off-screen. This will give you just enough of a boost to reach a hidden tire, which will let you bounce to a launch barrel. It will fire you into two Blue Balloons, granting you an additional six lives.
Item Location Two Blue Balloons At the very end of the level, off-screen, above the exit.
Millstone Mayhem Warp
A few screens into Millstone Mayhem, you'll be able to unearth and roll around a tire. Instead of pushing it further into the level, carefully roll it back to the first screen of the level. Position it directly in front of the second TNT barrel and bounce up. You'll reach a hidden warp barrel that will transport you all the way to the end of the level.
Slipslide Ride Warp
Make sure you have Donkey Kong playable, as only he can access this warp. At the start of the level, ascend the first rope and jump onto the platform at the top. Go to the far left end of the platform and jump straight up a Donkey Kong. There's a warp barrel camouflaged in the ice at the top of the screen. It'll send you to an area near the end of the level.
Tree Top Town Warp
When you encounter Necky - it's the second enemy in the level - jump on it as Diddy. If positioned correctly, you'll bounce high enough to reach a tire hidden at the very top of the screen. Bounce on the tire to reach a warp barrel, which will transport you to the end of the level.
Trick Track Trek Warp
In the very first platform in the level, cartwheel off the edge as Diddy and hold the control stick forward to make your jump as far and high as possible. If done correctly, you'll trigger a warp barrel hidden above you off-screen. It will transport you directly to the end of the level.
Vulture Culture Warp
As soon as you start the level, make your way to the second automatic blast barrel as soon as possible. The ledge is also marked with three bananas. If you get there in under 10 seconds while playing as DK, a warp barrel will appear at the bottom of the screen. The easiest way to accomplish this is to start the level as Diddy, with DK following. As soon as you reach the ledge, switch to DK. Note: the warp barrel only appears with DK; if you switch back to Diddy, it will vanish again.
Exit Mouse in the Cave of the Past
Note: This only works in the Super Famicom version of Earthbound(Mother 2).
In Mother 2, you could use the Exit Mouse in the Cave of the Past, which was never intended obviously, since the feature is missing in Earthbound.
Heal Teddy Bears
Whenever your Teddy Bear or Super Plush Bear has taken some damage in battle, just deposit it and withdraw it from your storage via the Escargo Express. For some reason, this fully heals the bear!
For reference, the Teddy Bear can take about 100 HP of damage, and the Super Plush Bear about 500 HP of damage.
Infinite Use of Rock Candy and Other Items
You can use the Rock Candy in battles an unlimited amount of times to increase your stats. You have to have it in one of the two very bottom spaces of one of your characters' inventories, and you have to use it with any condiment (preferably something like Sugar Packets or Jars of Delisauce, because they will increase one of your stats by 2 instead of one). This will allow you to get greater boosts in stats when you level up.
Note that you should not use this trick when your stats are at 255. Raising them from that point will make the stat overflow to 0 - obviously not a good idea!
This glitch also works with healing items provided they're compatible with the condiment in question, allowing you to get infinite use of various healing items!
Never Gain the Sound Stone
At the start of the game, fight as many Spiteful Crows as you can, until Ness' inventory is full of Cookies (and other items you find). During a cutscene later, Buzz Buzz will try to give you the Sound Stone, but fail due to your full inventory, and give it to your sister. You can actually go the whole game without owning the Stone, provided you never talk to Tracy - the game never checks that you have it. This frees up a slot of your inventory that's usually full for most of the game.
$50 Easy in Twoson
Outside of the hotel room in Twoson, there will be a man sitting at a table. Constantly speak to him (his response will change each time) until he decides to hand you $50 so you can leave him alone. It takes about 20 sessions of talking for him to fork it over, but it's well worth it, plus it'll make up for the night you spent at the hotel.

If you go into a room with a large amount or any amount of enemies in it, you can exit the room and re-enter it and the amount of enemies changes sometimes even taking them all out of that room. This can eliminate time consuming fights.

Final Fantasy III Cheats
0 HP Character Glitch
The 0 HP Character Glitch provides a means by which a character can achieve 0 HP, but still remain alive according to the game and thereby also be invulnerable (as KO'ed characters cannot be targeted or harmed). This will last until the character is healed by some means, such as a Potion or Cure in the field. There are several ways in which to do this.
The most feasible method of doing so requires the use of Doom and Jump. When a character afflicted by Doom has Jump, have them use Jump as their Doom counter nears zero. If the counter reaches zero while the character is in the air, and after that point but before the execution of the actual Jump attack the battle ends, then the character will be invulnerable.
Another feasible method requires the use of the Zombie and Petrified statuses and cures for these. When a party member is Zombified, they should then be Petrified. Then you should cure their Zombification through a Holy Water and their Petrification through any desired means. This will also induce the glitch.
This glitch will allow you to obtain the Blackjack at an early point in the game, should you so desire. To execute this glitch, you must first save the game in the overworld at the first possible opportunity: this point (which can be shifted, but is ideally done early) is the point in the game where you'll have the Blackjack. From this point on, you must play the game without saving until you reach the Floating Continent: at this point, you must travel along it until you can get onto the Blackjack. Get on it and fly around for a while in it without landing - 10 minutes is sufficient - and then return to the Floating Continent. There, get a Game Over.
You will then restart gameplay from the point of the initial save, with one key change: you are aboard the Blackjack! Several features will be restricted to you, such as entering the interior and re-entering the airship after landing it. This has a number of benefits despite this. For example, you can fly to an area in the game to skip all events up to that point (Zozo being the latest allowed). You can also bring temporary characters - such as Leo or Banon - to other, early points in the game by flying.
Another Game Glitch
Put Gau and Relm in the same party. Have Gau jump on an opponent. Fight until he comes back, but before he does his little speech, have Relm sketch him. If your game is glitchable, then there is a chance at switched up character sprites and/or many items added to inventory after the battle. I recieved 255 MagicBoxes and 255 Atmas Weapons this way the 5th time I did it. (Note this only works on the early carts. Will not work on all carts.)

Easy Win - Wrexsoul
When fighting the Wrexsoul in Cyan's dreams at Doma in the World of Ruin, there is a glitch involving his Gi Nattak attack. In this attack, the Wrexsoul will possess one of your four characters for a time until he kills them. If, in that time, you defeat all of the enemies allying him, you will automatically win the battle despite not having killed Wrexsoul himself. (Note: You will not gain any of the rewards normally associated with Wrexsoul's defeat.)
Enemy Revival Glitch
To execute this glitch, you must put Reraise on an undead enemy: this can be done through Rippler to trade Reraise from someone, at least most reliably. Then you must use an instant-death attack or spell on the same foe: the foe will die, then return to life, and then die again because Reraise auto-revived it and Life is Death for the undead. This causes the game to consider that the foe was killed twice, doubling the received rewards.
Equip Anything Glitch - JP Versions Only
To begin with, sell everything that the intended character you wish to put something on can equip. Next, put the desired "equip anything" item in the final bottom-rightmost slot of the items menu, slot #256. This item can be literally ANYTHING you want, even things that cannot be equipped, such as the Drill item. After doing this, press Optimize and the item will stay there and can be equipped by the person with no equipment in any particular area of their equipment. For example, the aforementioned Drill can be taken on as a helmet. Depending on the item, a huge variety of stat changes can occur: once again, the Drill actually makes your Defense and Magic Defense go to 255, meaning almost every attack only deals 1 damage!
Equipment Immunity-Granting Glitch
Normally, two pieces of equipment - the Force Shield and Cursed Shield - are supposed to grant status ailments in battle. The Cursed Shield is the one you'll want to most use with this glitch, since it only grants bad ailments, whereas the Force Shield grants the positive one in Shell. If you equip the Cursed Shield in the middle of battle - not before, DURING - you will instead be granted immunity to all of the ailments it gives, which is most of the ailments in the game!
On all versions of the SNES cartridge, the evade% stat has no effect.
All algorithms use MBlock% to calculate dodging/blocking an attack, magical or physical.
128% is where MBlock% is maxed at effectiveness (higher isn't worse, it just isn't any more effective)
Therefore, equip your characters to 128 MBlock% or higher and you'll be nearly invincible (block or dodge any unblockable attack.)

Let us assume you have a tile you wish to bypass: this tile can be a tile which triggers an event - such as a boss - or you simply a wall you wish to walk through. If you open the menu and quickly press the direction in which you desire to move as it loads, you can walk in the direction chosen, but the game's hit detection will fail, allowing you to walk into and through walls with repeated use and to also bypass various event battles.
The most famous instance of this glitch is known to many fans as the "Moghan glitch", in which Locke is able to bypass the guards in South Figaro and head to South Figaro Cave without Celes and in turn instead have Moghan. However, this glitch is also abusable in a number of other instances.
Get lots of items
When you have Vanish and Relm, go into battle, have one other character cast vanish on a desired opponent then have Relm Sketch that opponent and QUICKLY run away, check your items and voila! *Note, may not work on all carts. 1/1000 chance of freezing the game.

Normally, Jump is only intended to double the damage earned from spear-class weapons; however, this can be extended to any weapon so long as the wielder can hold two weapons. If you equip two weapons, one of whom is a spear, the second weapon's damage also is doubled by Jump. Other exploits can be derived from Jump's accumulation of active weapons' properties; for example, if someone uses Mug while someone is Jumping, all Jumps from there on will also have the effects of Mug.
Pincer Battle Row Glitch
Typically during a pincer battle - a battle in which enemies are on both sides of the party - there is supposed to be only one singular row, rather than the front and back row. Despite this, you can still select the Row option in battle: everyone will initially be in the front row, and now in the back row, quickly halving the damage each take, even though there was no true position change.
Prevent Organyx From Breaking
To prevent Organyx from breaking, you can put it in a character's right hand, then also equip them with the Dragoon Boots but without the Dragon Horn. The sword will now never break because it was encoded improperly for this situation, where it is meant to check the left hand here.
In a battle, have Cyan use Retort, then cast Imp on him. Then use an attack that kills him without triggering Retort, such as magic, or killing him in one hit. Now revive him and use the Fight command with anyone. Cyan will counterattack every move that is made, including his own. In other words, Cyan will attack his enemies over and over again, uninterrupted, until they are all dead.

Save anywhere in Kefka's Tower
First start by getting one of your groups onto a save point. Now cycle through the groups until you arrive back at the one on the save point. Switch groups one more time and go to the party screen and the "Save" command should be useable (and you can even use Tents!). Even after walking around and getting into a battle, the Save command should still be available.

Easy Level Ups
Note: you must have a turbo controller to do this trick
When you make it to the Lete River, set your window commands to "Short" and switch Banon's "Health" and "Attack" then switch the commands back to "Window" so you can have Banon's Health as the default command. When you get to a point where you have a choice of going "Straight" or Left set your controller to turbo and tape down the A button. Leave your game on overnight and you will likely be around level 50-60.

First you need the Vanish spell and the Doom spell. (X-Zone could also work) Cast Vanish on the enemy and then cast Doom on the vanished target. This also works on about 95% of bosses!

Save a Character (spoilers)
As the world is collapsing on the Floating Continent, and you have six minutes to get off, make your way to the very end where you can jump down to the airship. Instead of jumping, wait and do not move. When there is five seconds left on the clock Shadow will appear and jump down to the airship with you instead of dying.
When you're supposed to catch some fish for Cid, be sure to catch the fast ones that moves around in the water and give those to Cid so he can live. If you catch the slow ones and feed them to Cid, he'll die because the slow ones are the sick fish and the fast ones are the healthy ones.

Elevator Spikes Invincibility
The elevator sequence in Boomer Kuwanger's tower is full of spikes. Due to programming issues with the hit detection, however, they pose almost no threat whatsoever. If you take damage from one of the flying enemies just before reaching a spiked platform, X will simply clip right through the platform instead of instantly dying. If you jump on the spikes lining the walls, press the jump button again while X is taking damage, and his health bar won't register the hit.
When you first enter Flame Mammoth's factory, take a closer look at the ceiling tubes that drop the spare robot parts. Despite their appearances, they're actually large holes, not solid objects. To reach inside, simply jump on top of a scrapped Utuboros head, and then do a dash jump into the tube. If done correctly, X will connect with the inside of the tube, and can wall jump off-screen and walk on top of the ceiling. The bottom of X's boots will still appear onscreen, allowing you to keep track of his position. You can use this method to bypass the first conveyor belt section. You'll have to dash jump across when you reach the walkway section. This area will be differently colored, and have a glitched sub tank sprite, a missing capsule, and invisible enemies due to the stage not loading correctly.
This password has four known effects depending on how you execute it - the password is 7443 2241 1221. Regardless of what you do, it will sound as a "wrong" password, but the effects take effect nonetheless. If you enter the password without going into the demo, the game will hang upon gameplay beginning. If you enter the black screen moments prior to the demo, then go on and enter the password, you simply start with 10 health. If you go into the demo once, then exit it and enter the password, you'll start with all weapons, 32 health, and zero lives. Finally, if you enter the demo, wait it out, then press Start in the black screen prior to a second demo, you can enter the password to start with 10 health and all weapons.
Skip Armored Armadillo Rematch
Before you enter the room for the Armored Armadillo rematch, position X slightly less than two body lengths away from the door. Equip the Shotgun Ice and do a fully-charged shot. While the ice platform is forming, have X walk in front of it. When the new platform spawns, it will push X into the door, but the camera won't adjust to the correct position. This causes the room to load incorrectly. If you walk straight through, the door on the other side will automatically open, and Armored Armadillo won't appear at all. If you jump while in this room, however, a glitched version of Armored Armadillo will load.
Get three sub-tanks and make sure one of your special weapons has less than full power. Then, with the weapon that has less than full power selected, grab a weapon capsule and immediately hit start. If you did it right, you'll have a fourth sub-tank. Fill it using the same method, just don't over fill or you'll delete it and your third one. It recovers health just like the a normal one.

Mega Man Fireball
Must have Heart Tanks, Sub-Tanks, enemy weapons, and power-ups. Then, go to Armored Armadillo's level. Reach the final mine cart, which launches you through the air at the end of the level. Just before you reach the wall, jump up and climb the wall. At the top, there will be a large Energy Unit. Get it, and then jump into the pit and die. Repeat this step five times. On the fifth time through, a capsule will appear on that same ledge. Dr. Light will then give you a Ryu-style fireball for Mega Man to use.

Boomerang Cutting Flame Mammoth And Launch Octopus
Aside from their usual weapon weaknesses, Flame Mammoth and Launch Octopus have a special vulnerability to the Boomerang Cutter. It doesn't cause any extra damage to their health bars, but it severely weakens their offensive capabilities. Three Boomerang Cutters will slice off Flame Mammoth's trunk, leaving him unable to shoot fire, oil, or change the direction of the conveyor belt floor. Launch Octopus will lose four of his tentacles, leaving him unable to fire his homing missiles or activate his whirlpool energy drain attack.
Secret of Mana Cheats
9th Sword Orb
Here is how to get the "Mana Sword" permanently, and without a cheating device!
Fly to the ice country on Flammie and look for a small circular island off the immediate coast (trial and error are best here, but its NOT those little itty bitty ice chunks everywhere). You'll know its the right island if you are in a frozen grove with Neko surrounded by purple crystals (this looks like the same area you may encounter Neko on the way to the Ice Palace to fight Frost Gigas).
After that, Save the Game with Neko.
Immediately after, do a soft reset (L + R + Select + Start).
Start a New Game, and get to the Mantis Ant fighting as few (i.e. none) Rabites as possible. When you and Elliot take a dive into the pit, wait for him to say "You've got a sword don't you, use it!"
WHILE THIS TEXT IS ON THE SCREEN, perform another soft reset. BE SURE TO HOLD THOSE FOUR BUTTONS FOR 5+ SECONDS. I don't know why those 5+ seconds are required, but they are.
When you get back to the title screen, load the game you saved with Neko in the Ice Country. If you did the trick correctly, all three of your characters will be in the pit fighting the Mantis Ant! (If you did it wrong, you'll stare at a blank black screen and the game will freeze) Kill the weak boss (took me one hit...), and collect your "1st" sword orb again. Jema will pull you out and Timmy will call you to the elders house. Rather than risk a crash, call Flammie and high tail it to the nearest Watts location.
You now have the most broken weapon in Secret of Mana at your disposal, without needing to cast Mana Magic ever again.
*Final Note: This trick can be repeated if you wish, but do NOT forge your sword past level 9. The game will glitch and/or crash. You may get your Rusty Sword back, or you may corrupt your save file beyond repair.

Whenever an enemy character casts an attack spell on you or an ally use the pygmy hammer / moogle belt on the character being attacked , do this twice before the spell animation ends and if done correctly the character will completly avoid taking any damage. This trick is especially useful when you are fighting the Mana beast.

Most likely a glitch, but after acquiring Sylphid and the spell Analyzer, any chest you scan will be safe from traps, regardless whether or not the chest had a trap before that. This has only been confirmed to be the case in the English PAL version though.

To enter the black hole, a secret area on the map with no apparent way in, you must enter Level 1-2 (Asteroid Belt) and keep going until you find a spinning asteroid bar. Hit the center of the asteroid bar just before you hit it. Do it with the next 2. If you hit all 3 bars right before you hit them (fly through where the breakable asteroid was....) A Laughing asteroid will appear. Shoot it repeatedly to open the gateway to the Black Hole.
There are three level warps in the Black Hole. Fly through and look around this Lost ship graveyard....
Enter another dimension
Choose level three, then go to the asteroid belt and keep shooting the second big asteroid until it is destroyed. A bird-like object will fly out. Do not shoot it. Ram into it to travel ''out of this dimension''. Shoot the paper-like objects. The boss does not have a life meter, just icons (until they display three 7s) Shoot ''THE END'' letters until they are in the right position. The letters will be orange when they are correct.

Game Posters and Extra Ending
Finish a one player game against the computer at level 8 difficulty without continuing.
After the normal ending, instead of the characters battling credits you normally get for defeating the game at level 6 or higher, you get a sequence for each character, similar to the character stats at the game menu screen, using a move to destroy a crate.
Once the credits have rolled, a poster will appear on the screen. For Turbo it is a group shot of all eight player characters, for Normal (Champion Edition) it is a picture or Ryu and M. Bison.

Skip 1-Player Matches
Not really a cheat but a useful trick none thr less. begin a 1 player game as usual but during the game press start on controller two so that player two joins in , choose player 2's character , say for example Ryu , and then defeat him.
Once the two player game ends you will be taken back to the one-player tournament , now the character you defeated during the two player round will be checked off and you will not have to fight him in tournament mode.
Using this trick the only character you will have to beat to complete the game is M.bison.

Three Hidden Routes
There are three hidden branches from the main path in this game.
The first one is in stage 3-1. There will be a point where you must descend a short vertical shaft. Halfway down here is a wall of pillars to the left. These can easily be demolished, where you will find a small side room containing hearts, cash bags, and some Roast.
The second secret, which is an actual hidden Block, is in stage 6-2. At the very beginning you'll need to pass a hallway with Axe Knights and falling chandeliers. The third archway has a chandelier but no guard. Hit the floor a couple of times and it'll crumble, revealing a stairwell into a secret area.
The last one is in Block 9-2. The third section has you jump across a bed of spikes at the beginning. After this you'll see several whirlwind tunnels and some coffins. The last upper platform on the right has a coffin and a tunnel. Let the tunnel suck you in and you'll find a hidden area full of bonuses.

In various parts of the game enemies can be despawned, which is to say that they can be removed from the player's path on screen. To despawn an enemy have the enemy in question spawn on screen then retreat until that enemy can no longer be seen. Return to the enemy's location and the player will notice that it will be gone. This trick is most useful in the auto-scrolling section in the second half of stage 4. In this stage blue balls will appear in complicated locations obstructing the player's path. However, by running away until they are off-screen the player can return and find that a troublesome ball has disappeared, making a significantly smoother path. While not all enemies can be despawned and while not all despawns are as meaningful as the ones in stage 4 as mentioned above, despawning enemies in this way can make playthroughs far less complicated.
In the second half of stage 5 there is a section where the player must navigate through and avoid a series of avalanches. With the gold armor (there are enough treasure chests to acquire the gold armor by this point) charge Arthur's magic by holding the "shot" button then approach the first avalanche. Release the button to use Arthur's magic just before this first avalanche strikes him and Arthur will be invincible for the remainder of the stage! Arthur's will still have to avoid further avalanches and his shield can still take damage, but Arthur himself cannot. This invincibility will be gone at the beginning of stage 6, but take advantage of this glitch to very easily beat the boss of stage 5! If this glitch is exploited while using the crossbow Arthur will also gain super speed.

In the first half of stage 4 the player will eventually move to the right to face 2 green skulls, then climb a platforming section resembling a staircase before progressing to the left. With Arthur in gold armor and while using the crossbow weapon, stand at the top of this staircase and use his "Discover" magic (by pressing and holding the shot button) to reveal an otherwise inaccessible treasure chest. As the activation point for this chest is actually in the wall to the right of the chest, using this "Discover" magic is the only possible way to gain access.

When you're on your last balloon, hop over a banana peel. After the music changes and the screen darkens, you can still drive your kart around. You can even pick up items, use them, and the Star music will play if you obtain it. This glitch stops working if you stop your kart.

Disappearing Sprites in Battle Courses
When playing Battle Mode with another player, obtain a Feather. Once earned, you use it to jump to the out-of-bounds area on the course. If you jump far enough, your character will be dragged back to the course but, for unknown reasons, remain invisible on your opponent's screen (and sometimes yours), with only the balloons visible, making it much harder for them to find you.
Extended Mushroom Boosts
When you get a Mushroom item, approach a wall on the track, preferably a corner wall that juts into the track. As you approach it, release B to decelerate and then press A to use the Mushroom and use L/R to hop "into" the wall. Once the wall is bumped, only hold L/R to keep the boost. The boost will keep going forever so long as you don't bump into anything else on the course.
Skip Laps Glitch (Bowser's Castle Courses)
You'll need to obtain a Feather item for this. Once obtained, go ahead of the starting line and make a U-turn. Once in line with the starting line, back up to the side of the track and somewhat ahead of the starting line. Drive and leap forward over the lava at the edge of the track, onto the stony area beyond it, thanks to the Feather; be sure to land behind the starting line as well. You'll be dragged back to the track by Lakitu, and mistakenly labeled as being one lap ahead.
Skip Laps Glitch (Ghost Valley Courses)
On this track, when the lap begins, drive forward from the starting line and make a U-turn some point thereafter. Drive back to the starting line and, as you approach it, hop off of the left side (from your view - right on the track map) of the track and fall and "die" behind the finish line. When Lakitu grabs you back up, he'll drag you forward and past the finish line, and mistakenly glitch the game into thinking that you've just done a whole lap. You can only do this every other lap at the most, though, so only on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th laps in succession, or on the 2nd and 4th in succession.
Skip Laps Glitch (Multiple Tracks)
This trick only works on courses which have walls of blocks to the right or left of the starting line (whichever side is towards the center of the track). When a race begins, drive to the right of the finish line and begin ramming it with your kart, about in line with the actual starting/finish line. You'll suddenly begin to warp ahead laps, albeit somewhat randomly depending on where you hit the wall. It is best to hop a lot whilst bumping the wall, and aim for the center of the colored segment that is in line with the wall.
Skip Laps Glitch (Rainbow Road)
When you get a Feather item, drive through the course as normal. As you near the finish line, make a hard drift to the left so that you're almost off the left side of the course and nearly perpendicular to the course when you finish the lap. Use the Feather at this point and you should hop in the air and back behind the finish line before you "die". Lakitu will drag you back on to the course and you'll get the extra lap counted.
Skip Laps Glitch (Vanilla Island Courses)
You'll need a Feather item for this. Once obtained, drive around the course as normal. As you pass the starting line, begin a hard drift to the left or right (whichever is towards the out-of-bounds area of the course's outer edge). As you approach the wall bounding the course, use the Feather. If your drifting is tight enough, you'll leap up, over the wall to the out-of bounds area, and back in without actually needing to be dragged back to the course. (Sometimes, even if you are dragged back, this glitch will still work.) You can then cross the finish line again to get the extra lap counted.

Spell transfer glitch
Any spell that is learned by leveling up can be transferred to a different character. But the level up has to occur using an invincibility star. When you jump to open the chest with the star, press the menu button to open the menu mid jump. In the menu switch the character you want to learn the spell with the character that is going to level up. Kill enemies until that character levels up. After the invincibility wears off and the level up process finishes the the spell they learned during the level up will be given to the character that you moved into their previous position. The glitch occurs because the game is confused and thinks the character that leveled up is still in the old party slot, so it adds the spell to the magic list of the character currently in that slot.

One person's game froze, horizontal lines appeared on the screen, and weird music kept looping over and over again. Complete Any Level Instantly
For this glitch, you'll need to get Fire Mario and Yoshi in Yoshi's Island 2. Near the end of the level, there is a Piranha Plant in a pipe near a Dragon Coin. Stand on said pipe, about 2/3 of the way across. Pay attention to the Rexor to the right. When he is walking left and about 3/4 past the Dragon Coin, crouch, then press X+A simultaneously. Mario will jump off of Yoshi as Yoshi attempts to eat him, and you'll get some weird glitchy item in your item storage. (If you did it wrong, the game just crashes horrifically.) If you summon this item during a level, and then grab it, the level is then completed, provided that Mario does not die while attempting to walk off-screen. Note that the orb only works once, and you need to get it again to complete another level.
Death Cancel Glitch and Infinite Time
When your timer is about to reach zero, pick up a power-up (e.g. Mushroom, Cape Feather, Fire Flower) at the same time as the timer reaches zero. You will hear the sound for when Mario loses a life, but he should not die, and should still be permitted to move around. The timer will remain at 0 until Mario dies or the level is completed.
Infinite Lives Glitch
In Chocolate Island 5, play the level as normal. Past the midpoint in the level, you'll begin to see a bunch of Spinies trapped in unmoving blocks (which are removed by a silver P Switch). Get the nearby blue and silver P Switches and try to drop one on top of the other so that they completely overlap each other; when done properly, attempting to grab one will grab both. Nearby, also, are some yellow flip panels, with a blank spot in the center. Get in the center and run right as much as you can. Let go of the switches and, suddenly, ? Blocks will begin appearing, spewing a multitude of Yoshi Eggs. Once a Yoshi hatches, these eggs will spew 1-Ups instead.
Use, but not waste a switch
First all you need to do is find a switch ( the kind that changes the square outlines into brown blocks ). You also need to be on a yoshi. Normally when you hit the switch, it will flatten and disappear. When you jump on it, quicky turn around and eat it with your yoshi, if you do it fast enouph, you will have it in the yoshis mouth. You can spit it out and use it again.

Carry Big Eggs to Other Levels
When getting a Big Egg (as in World 2-7), you can carry it to another level. Go to the Goal Ring and past it to the right side of the screen. Aim the Big Egg straight up, launch it, then lick it with your tongue; repeat as necessary until the Big Egg is launched to to the right and about half off-screen. Then enter the Goal Ring. The next Yoshi to come will pick up the Egg, carrying it with the others and Mario to the next level. Note that the Big Egg's graphics will glitch up, but it'll retain its normal functions.
Coin-Based Level Warping
Note that this glitch requires a controller that allows pressing both Left and Right on the D-Pad simultaneously.
Begin by collecting a certain number of coins and returning to the level selection screen. The amount varies upon the level you wish to warp to. 68 for example will bring you to the final level, but depending on the amount you can go to any level, including glitch levels. With this achieved, use Start and then Select to leave the level and return to the map. There, press Left and Right together, then an less than half a second after begin holding the A Button. The cursor will glitch up a little, but you will soon transition to the named destination level.
Note that this glitch can affect level progression significantly and make it so certain levels are only accessible with further use of the glitch. Results can be variable and may require several tries for the desired result.
Duplicate Red Coins
In several levels in the game, there are Shy Guys which are flying in the air with a red sack beneath them. Normally, if you eat or kill the Shy Guy, it will drop the Red Coin. If it drops the Red Coin, but you don't pick it up and instead run off-screen, you can then return to where the Shy Guy appeared. The Red Coin will be there still, but that Shy Guy will come in holding yet another Red Coin.
Eating Baby Mario
You must have the +10 or +20 star item in your pause screen or it won't work. It works on any level that has a metamorphosis bubble, but it works best on level 5-5 (Goonie Rides!!), where I discovered it. In 5-5, reach the first middle ring, and then you will notice the metamorphosis helicopter bubble ahead. Don't touch it yet. Instead, walk to the edge of the cliff. You will see the white Goonies flying your way. Let one hit you and let baby Mario cry in the air. Now, before the timer runs out, run left until the helicopter bubble is at the right edge of the screen. Don't move from there. Baby Mario will float around the helicopter bubble. Let the timer reach zero. When the red Toadies come and begin carrying him away, lick baby Mario from them, and quickly touch the helicopter bubble while the timer is still 0. When you finish morphing, the Toadies will come back and try to take baby Mario with them, even though you're a helicopter (Don't touch the baby while they are trying to take him, or you will freeze the scroll of the screen!). Now, when all four Toadies are about to take off with baby Mario, immediately pause the game and activate a +10 or +20 stars item. The red Toadies will let go of baby Mario, but he will still be crying in his bubble (and you are a helicopter!). Now touch baby Mario as a helicopter. The bubble will pop and then baby Mario will be stuck in a tiny bubble that doesn't even close around him (If you dont touch him as a helicopter, theres a glitch when the helicopter runs out: youll get Mario back, but the timer wont countdown if you get hit, as long as you dont touch a helicopter bubble again). Now, you can do one of two things:
a) Wait until the helicopter power runs out. If that happens, you will be transformed back into Yoshi. But notice anything strange? Baby Mario is still in that tiny bubble, and he is off your back! Now this is the cool thing though. You can lick baby Mario and he will go into Yoshi's mouth! If you swallow him, he will turn into an egg that can't damage Goonies! If you spit him back out, he will still be in the tiny bubble and slide around until he falls off the stage. You can't even lick him back into your mouth!
b) Head to the Yoshi Block as a helicopter at the end of this part of the stage. Avoid the Goonies and Green Piranas, and hit the Yoshi Block. The baby will transport where you are, and you will transform back into Yoshi. But the funny thing is that once again, you have no Baby Mario on your back. And Mario's bubble will return to normal size, but he will start floating up infinitely! You will lose him unless you can lick him before he floats away. Now, you can swallow him again and turn him into an egg, but if you spit him out, he will float around in his bubble up and down and move horizontally (you'll see what I mean) and won't stop. If you happen to spit him at a winged cloud, he will activate it but Mario will explode in the process! You cannot lick Baby Mario back into your mouth if you spit him out either.
These are fun glitches to try but remember that you must have the +10 or +20 star item and must have a metamorphosis bubble in the course. I have succeeded in other courses with many Yoshi shapes. But let me warn you that if you pull off this glich, you cannot leave the course or beat it without pressing start and select. Oh, and you will have baby Mario on your back again if you do leave the course. Have fun pulling this one off, gamers!

Extra 1 - Disable Auto-Scrolling
During the World 1 Extra level, you can disable the autoscrolling in the level. To do this, you need to bounce repeatedly on the bat enemies that appear at the start of the level in sequence, doing so until Yoshi is eventually off-screen. Then Flutter Jump to the right and past the first stony wall that appears from the ceiling. Once past, you can still play the level with Poochy, but without the autoscrolling that would otherwise painfully limit your abilities and overcomplicate things.
Life Underflow Glitch
This glitch must be done in the final stage of the game, World 6-8, and you must have 1 life to be able to execute the underflow. Early in the stage, when you have four numbered doors to choose from, enter Door #1.
There, go along the corridor to a ! Switch near a long lava pit. Here, you need to carefully angle your jump so that you will land in the lava and, in turn, leap onto the ! Switch. I find that jumping over the switch, and hugging the wall next to the lava while facing left works best.
Landing on the lava initially will kill Yoshi; however, Yoshi will also leap up from the burn during his death animation. If he strikes the ! Switch in that time, he will be considered to be alive again, although one life has already been lost. Die again by jumping in the lava, and his lives will underflow from 0, and you'll find that Yoshi now has 999 lives!
Note that improper execution of this glitch can and will lead to the game hanging. First, in World 2-2, find a Mouser. Let it grab one of Yoshi's eggs; while the Mouser goes off-screen, take back the egg. At this point, the "egg" is counted as an empty slot, although you have it. Get a Skull-capped Mouser to enter the inventory by making it spawn on-screen, then complete the level as normal. Go to World 1-8 and proceed as normal to boss: before entering the boss door, have only one egg available. Attack Salvo on the other side of the door by using this egg and the smaller bodies that split off of Salvo when hit -- do not destroy any of them by jumping or ground-pounding them. After, go to any level: the "door unlock" cutscene from the end of World #-8 levels will immediately play. Play through the glitched level without falling into lava or being eaten by Piranha Plants, and do not lose the Key. In this manner, you will cause the game to consider that the credits have rolled, as if you've finished the game. You can also experiment with this glitch to get certain other items in your inventory, such as a glitch pipe to World 1-1 that allows quick level completion.
World 1-1 Warping: Skip World 1-4
In World 1-4, partway through there is a locked door next to a pipe. Enter the pipe. When you land, begin holding the button to aim an Egg, then walk backwards and hit the Hothead so that you're hurt. Go on the platform to the right without grabbing Baby Mario, then Flutter upwards towards the exit. Yuo should end up grabbing Mario while above the screen. You will glitch the game and warp to the top-left bit of World 1-1. Flutter Jump to the right as much as possible whilst falling (you'll die if you don't) and you'll fall on part of World 1-1. You can finish the level from there as you would 1-1, with the benefits of being able to gain extra Red Coins, Stars, and Flowers from the level; further, the score earned will be counted towards 1-4 and it will also count as you finishing 1-4!
World 1-1 Warping: Skip World 2-1
In World 2-1, partway through the level you need to go down a pipe with a red down-pointing arrow on it (you will see another similar pipe to the right of there, with an up arrow). Whilst standing on it, press Down and the Jump Button together. You will glitch the game and warp to the top-left bit of World 1-1. Flutter Jump to the right as much as possible whilst falling (you'll die if you don't) and you'll fall on part of World 1-1. You can finish the level from there as you would 1-1, with the benefits of being able to gain extra Red Coins, Stars, and Flowers from the level; further, the score earned will be counted towards 2-1 and it will also count as you finishing 2-1!
World 1-1 Warping: Skip World 3-1
In World 3-1, partway through, you'll reach a Middle-Ring. Nearby, you'll find a watermelon-seed-spitting monkey. Jump from his head to up and above the Middle-Ring; you'll get an extended jump boost. While doing floating above and to the right of the ring, you'll want to try to enter the hidden bonus area. You will glitch the game and warp to the top-left bit of World 1-1. Flutter Jump to the right as much as possible whilst falling (you'll die if you don't) and you'll fall on part of World 1-1. You can finish the level from there as you would 1-1, with the benefits of being able to gain extra Red Coins, Stars, and Flowers from the level; further, the score earned will be counted towards 3-1 and it will also count as you finishing 3-1!
World 1-1 Warping: Skip World 4-7
Partway through 4-7, you will be able to shoot down a springball that's hidden above the screen. (It is where the fish enemies fly leftward at you and there's an impassable wall to the left.) Shoot down the springball and use it to reach another. As you use this one and go to the next screen from the jump, hold Left. You will glitch the game and warp to the top-left bit of World 1-1. Flutter Jump to the right as much as possible whilst falling (you'll die if you don't) and you'll fall on part of World 1-1. You can finish the level from there as you would 1-1, with the benefits of being able to gain extra Red Coins, Stars, and Flowers from the level; further, the score earned will be counted towards 4-7 and it will also count as you finishing 4-7!
Title Screen Stars
To append stars next to the logo at the game's title screen, you must get 100 points in the secret Extra Stage in a given world. The Extra Stage in itself is unlocked by getting 100 points on the other eight levels in the world. One star will appear for each Extra Stage completed in such a manner, for a total of up to six stars at the title screen.

Hidden Stars During Final Boss
During the final boss fight against King Baby Bowser, it is possible to get hidden stars that count toward the baby timer. In the second phase of the fight, hold up on the D-Pad before firing one of the big eggs. Instead of firing them in the background at Baby Bowser, you will shoot the egg upwards at enemies off screen and a star will drop from the sky. You can do this continuously to build up your baby timer, allowing you to more easily finish the level with 30 stars if you get hit during the final boss.

Instantly Kill Naval Piranha
When you are in the hallway right before you reach the room of World 3's boss Naval Piranha, start to swim slowly into the room, until you are right in front of the column of falling water. You can just see the untransformed Naval Piranha, but you haven't gone far enough to trigger Kamek's appearance. There, jump straight up, and, before you fall, aim and shoot an egg at the Piranha. When the egg hits the Naval Piranha, Kamek will appear, scream "OH MY!!!" and then flee, and the Piranha will be destroyed, without you having to battle it.

Make Eggs yellow and red
It's best to have a full supply of green eggs for this trick. Find a place in a level where you can aim straight up without hitting anything else (ie: level 6-8 would be a good one, after you hit a door, but don't go in yet). Stock up on eggs if you don't have any, then aim straight up. Throw an egg and after it hits the celeing once, have Yoshi catch it with his tongue. It should stop bouncing and be a yellow egg (if it was green to begin with). Throw another egg, this time letting it hit the celeing twice, then catch it. It should have turned red. Doing this trick right will help you make your score better, as red eggs give 2 stars that can be used on the Baby Timer that appears when Mario falls off Yoshi's back.

World 3-4 Boss Tips
At the end of World 3-4, you'll encounter a boss in which you fight in the foe's stomach. If you do not move left/right at all on entering the stomach, you will never be hit by the acid. Furthermore, try to angle your egg shots to hit the sides of the uvula at the top of the screen: for reasons unknown, hitting the target from the side, as opposed to just aiming straight up at it, does significantly more damage!

Charge Hyper Beam
Using this glitch, you can effectively charge and fire a Hyper Beam shot. To execute it, simply hold down the fire button during the final Zebes countdown and make sure the first shot that is fired opens a blue door. Now, before the next shot is fired, head through the door. The charging sound will play and once you exit the door you will fire a large beam shot.

Green Gate Glitch
This is a glitch that exploits an error in the detection of valid hits in the various green gates scattered across Zebes.
Make sure the gate's tab faces to the left, and you are on its right. Stand some distance, maybe 5-6 tiles or more, from the gate. Hold the run button and right before you reach the gate tap the jump button while simultaneously aiming up and to the left and firing a super missile. With patience and skill you will open the gate from the ''wrong'' side.
Exploit this glitch to obtain the Screw Attack without facing Golden Torizo, or to obtain the Grapple Beam by an alternate path, or even beat the game without shattering the Maridian tube.

In Super Metroid, when you get the Gravity Suit, you can move underwater freely. However, there is a trick that you can use to jump higher underwater. First, find a location that is fully submerged in water. Try a room in Maridia or the room before Lower Norfair (the ones with filled with Lava) Next, hold the jump button. Immediatly after you press it, press pause. Go to the inventory menu and switch off the gravity suit. Hold the jump button and unpause the game. You will jump higher than normal. Use this trick to get the screw attack before the space jump.

Retain running speed while in morphball.
While running, spin-jump and press down once at the apex of your jump while holding the jump button, press down a second time when you make contact with the ground to go into morphball. Do not let go of the direction you want to move in or turn the other direction once you go into morphball.
If done correctly, you won't have any bouncing animation when landing and will retain your running speed. This can be used to get Super Missiles early in Brinstar, allowing you to skip Spore Spawn, as well as Ice Beam early before obtaining Speed Booster.
By equiping all five beams at the game time you can kill Motherbrain pretty easyly.
To equip all five beams at the same time go into the equipment screen in the Sub-Menu. You will notice that the Spazar Beam in unequiped because the Plazma Beam cancels out the Spazar. Equip the Spazar Beam (thus unequiping the Plazma Beam) then move the curser over to one of the Boot Upgrades. Hit Left and the A Button at the same time to equip the Plazma Beam. If you did it right then the letters Var should appear next to the Plazma Beam.
To complete the glitch you must first charge your beam before equiping all five beams. After your beam is charged all the way , equip all five beam the way I decirbed above the fire it at say Motherbrains head (when it's laying on the ground). If you did it right then an orange orb should stay behind and contanly hit Motherbrain. Equip your beams reqularly.
NOTE: This beam can crash your game if not done correctly.

First, you need the speed boots and X ray visor. This is fairly easy to pull off.
Switch to the weapon that is before the Visor. Start holding the boost button while running until you see those silhouettes of Samus. Now, still holding the boost button, switch to the X ray visor. You will stop, and you will see those silhouttes in full color, mimicing your every move.
Once you let go of the button, the sillhouttes will disapear.

Bypass the first Zebetite barrier causing the other Zebetites to not spawn.
Make sure Screw Attack is turned off before attempting this.
When first entering the chamber Mother Brain is in immediately fall and run to the left-most wall. Freeze the first Rinka that spawns diagonally upward from Samus then quickly spin-jump onto the little platform above you near the frozen Rinka while pressing into the Zebetite; when you land you'll take a small amount of damage, while Samus is blinking in her invulnerable-state quickly do a tiny spin-jump in place and after landing from that tiny jump do a standing-jump into the Zebetite.
If done correctly and fast enough, you'll completely pass through the first Zebetite barrier. Due to the first Zebetite not being destroyed, the other Zebetites in the room will not spawn.
Doing this helps save ammunition for the fight against Mother Brain.

Kill Draygon in one hit
As soon as the boss fight with Draygon begins, note the four turrets firing electricity from the walls - two on either side. Before Draygon even shows up, blast away all four turrets with charge shots. See how the turrets spew out electricity after being killed? Equip the Grapple Beam and get ready to use this to your advantage.
Instead of fighting Draygon the normal way, allow him to grab you. While he's swinging you about the room, use the Grapple Beam to latch on to one of the panels on the wall that was once occupied by a turret. The electricity will go through the Grapple Beam, through your suit, and to Draygon himself. Samus will stay locked on until Draygon dies.

First, Equip the Charge Beam and ONE other beam ability e.g. ice or wide
Select the power Bombs but do not enter morph ball mode.
Charge your beam up and you should use one of the following secret attacks
Ice- A shield will form around you damaging enemies you touch
Wave-Energy Balls circle you then Fire away from you in various directions
Plasma-Same as wave but with Plasma effect
Spazer- Large beams fire away from you like shrapnel
This will use up one of your Power Bombs
(It may not work if you've just finished charging, give it another second)

Defeating Draygon Easily
It's possible to defeat Draygon with a well-timed combination of a charged Plasma Beam shot and the X-Ray Scope. When the fight starts, charge your shot and aim it at the spot where Draygon first materializes. As soon as your shot connects and Draygon flashes, turn the X-Ray Scope on and off repeatedly. Doing so resets the Plasma Beam's hit counter, which causes it to inflict additional damage each time the X-Ray Scope is activated. Draygon will go down in seconds.

Death Mountain Descent
Death Mountain Descent will allow you to explore all of Dark World without obtaining the third pendant, the Master Sword, or defeating Agahnim.
First, you'll want to get the Moon Pearl out of the Tower of Hera. That's necessary unless you want to stay as a bunny the entire time. Once you've acquired it, exit the dungeon. Now hop in the teleporter just outside the Tower of Hera and go to Dark World. Hop down the cliff, and make your way to the right. Go to where the broken bridge used to be in Light World.
Now stand right under the top statue, as far against the wall and statue as you can get. Mirror to Light World. This is the tricky part, you must move ONE PIXEL to the right. No more, no less. If you don't do it correctly, you have to start all over. After you've moved, wait until you get teleported back to Dark World. You should be ONE PIXEL closer to the ledge now. Now DON'T MOVE! If you move, you will have to start over again. Mirror back to Light World.
Now walk to the right until you're stopped by the bridge post. Wait until you stop flashing, and hold down the B button until your sword charges up, while still facing right. SLOWLY move backwards into the sparkly teleporter. If you don't do this slow enough, the trick won't work. When you teleport, if you don't get teleported back to Light World, you did the trick correctly. Now press right to jump off the cliff into the black stuff. Make your way around the black stuff and to the bottom of the screen.
Go down one screen and you'll be on top of a cliff in Dark World. Hop off the cliff and you're now allowed to explore Dark World! If everything is glitchy, enter a cave, then exit and things will be normal looking.
Anytime you have the Hookshot equipped, if any enemy or projectile comes to attack you, use the Hookshot, and while the Hookshot is extended, the attack will go right through you, and you will take no damage.

Start at the Sanctuary and run south with the Pegasus Shoes until you are outside. Then, run south and stop before you hit the barrier. Proceed to run west until you are able to run south. When you run south, you should be in a wooded area with guards. Navigate this area and find the entrance to the castle grounds. While still running, go around the castle grounds to the hole where you fall into at the beginning of the game. If you did it right, you should be in a room with 45 blue rupees and a Saharasla sign that says: ''My name is Chris Houlihan'' and ''Let's keep this between you and me.'' Sometimes when you are fighting Gannon, you may fall into a hole and this may happen.

Aquire Invisibility Cape Early
There is a way to get the Magic Cape right after you get the Hammer in the Palace of Darkness(Dark World's 1st dungeon). In the graveyard in the Light World you'll notice there are dark colored rocks with the number 8 on the them surrounding a tombstone, but if you go to the same place in the dark world you can cut down a flower and dash into a pile of rocks that usually reveals a red ruby(worth 20 rubies). In this place you need to use your Magic Mirror north of the rock pile. If you've done this right you can circumvent the dark colored rocks in the Light World.
Note: You need to use the Magic Transprter between the Kakariko Village and the Lost Woods to reach this location.
