Why doesn't the ship in the game understand the meaning of a 3D Plane and only shoots in 2D?

  3. Everybody makes this mistake. You gotta backtrack to level 69 and use a level 5 Peel Away spell on the concrete wall. This reveals it to be a dam, and using the spell lets water flow through the dried-up riverbed once more. This turns a wheel which powers up the old factory. After this, go into the old factory, and the machinery will spit out a Ship Upgrade Z. If you proceed to level 78 with the Ship Upgrade Z, the ship will allow you to shoot in 3D. You're welcome.
