We know Magnus was created to be a possible candidate for Smash Bros characters. But this game expands with so many characters. One or two of them are bound to be playables in the next Smash Bros. Who do you think would be the best choice? Who do you want to see playable? Honestly, too many for me to decide. This does have spoilers for up to Chapter 22's boss.

oh the options, we have:

Palutena: The main female of the series, I'd say she has a pretty good chance. All they'd have to do is remove her background appearance from Pit's final smash.

Medusa: Though we're not likely to see her ever again, Nintendo wanted more Females, and more Villains for Brawl (so why did they remove Mewtwo? That's just one less villain.), so she'd make a logical choice for both.

Hades: Clearly the series new main villain (like Ganon, I'm sure he'll be back, plenty of times).

Viridi: When she first showed up, I thought, 'Cool, mass murdering villain with a scythe! Do want for Smash Bros!' Then...it turned out it wasn't a scythe...and she wasn't a villain, just a mass murderer who gets away with it...little confused. In any case, she's obviously sticking around the series.

Magnus: Really? I mean it's so obvious Smash Bros was what they had in mind when they created the character. Though I'm not very found of him myself.

Pandora (human version): There seriously had to be some reason they gave this character a human body last minute, I mean seriously, what was the point otherwise?

Thanatos

Pyrrhon

Phosphora

Alron

The last four, I didn't have anything in general to say about them. But they seem like possible candidates to me.

Left out Dyntos, because we never saw him fight. Left out Poseidon because he didn't do...ANYTHING. Left out Gaol because NOTHING about this character was explained. Left out Chariot Master because, well, death doesn't mean your coming back to the series, especially when there's no reason to resurrect you. Plus, this character would be digging too deep. Left out Pit and Dark Pit for...obvious reasons.

I think the only characters would be
Pit: Since he's the main character.
Dark Pit: Just as a clone with a minor tweak, seriously, If they can 3 different versions of Fox...
Magnus: Like you said, he looks like he was made for Brawl.

Okay, gotta write something witty...

Also, most of the gods and bosses would be an assist trophy.

^Dark Pit will probably remain as an alternate color for Pit.

The only real candidates I saw were Palutena, Medusa, Hades, and Magnus.

Palutena is the face of Kid Icarus right next to Pit, and since she had a boss fight (in a human-sized form no less) there's really nothing stopping Sakurai from giving her a reasonable moveset.

Medusa is still the most iconic villain of the series until of course the inevitable sequels begin pushing Hades further or making new villains. Medusa even manages to come back in the last chapter to help defeat Hades. I wouldn't completely rule Hades out, but I think Medusa has far more potential than him. Especially since she'd add to the villain and female cast.

Magnus literally felt like Ike to me. Human character with a huge sword. I basically see him being an Ike clone, but I feel like his presence in this game was definitely enough to make him a viable rep. He's introduced early in the game and even playable at one point.

Hades obviously because he's the main villain, however I rank Medusa above him only because of her iconic status for the series.

This is basically what I was thinking. There's plenty of other unique Fire Emblem characters to make up for a lack of Ike too. Marth on the other hand, at this point seems pretty much guaranteed now that he's lasted through Melee and Brawl.
