Sure, it has the Boss Rush mode, but I don't really see any other reason to buy the remake outside of "I never played the Gamecube version".

Consider the Resident Evil remake for the Gamecube. For that one, Capcom not only made it one of the most GORGEOUS games the Gamecube ever had, but it also added a bunch of new stuff, and put in stuff that, I believe, was cut from the original game.

I think, to make this Luigi's Mansion remake something really special, like, a must-have for your 3DS game collection, Nintendo needs to do for Luigi's Mansion what Capcom did for Resident Evil. I mean, think about it...

1.New ghost types to battle against.

2.New gallery ghosts/gallery ghosts that were cut (like this one here -> https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/mansionluigi/images/9/9f/KitchenGhostSave.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150508030807 )

3.More rooms to explore, perhaps with a new boss ghost to fight, too.

What do you think? Should Nintendo do more to remake Luigi's Mansion for the 3DS?

Just throw in the arcade game Mario Bros and call it a day.

Hell no. Adding too many features or enhancements would make it the definitive version. Which would be fine on a console like RE4, but making a handheld port the definitive version of a game is borderline criminal. Because then you make people who play the game for the first time have to choose between having decent audiovisuals OR enhancements and features. And who wants to do that? Take DKCR. Choose between performance & graphical fidelity (Wii) or features (3DS.) It's almost like the New 3DS models, where Nintendo couldn't include all of the best features in one system and had to split them up leaving them all imperfect in one way or another.

Of course, the GBA is a great example of this happening in droves. So many great SNES classics ruined by this system's terrible hardware. Rockman & Forte and Tales of Phantasia were butchered but the devs could get away with this crap due to them being unreleased in English previously. Rare on the other hand couldn't get away with mangling DKC2 since everyone knew how great it was (and still is) on SNES.
Anyone can believe in the truth. To believe in nonsense is a demonstration of loyalty... it serves as a uniform.
And if you have a uniform, you have an army.

As long as it has excellent stereoscopic 3D effects like Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon then I’ll be happy.

Wow, that's totally not biased.

Fix up the boolosisus boss fight so it's much easier to get the 15th boo. Also change how the boos work so that Boos can't leave rooms that they're found in so that Luigi doesn't have to run around the whole mansion to get access to them just so they disappear into another room that is either locked or can only be accessed from a different part of the mansion.

I know boos' specialty is able to go through walls. But in LM, it was such a pain to the player to get them. Also add on the map, marks to let you know a boo has been captured from that room as well as record their quotes to look at later.

I was also thinking, you know how when you scan the mirrors, they warp you back to the foyer? Well they should also warp you to other rooms that have mirrors in them that you've beaten so it can be easier to move around the mansion. Like how the warp songs in oot can teleport you to different locations near temples around Hyrule.
