I'm currently in the process of making a very unique level, a collection of the best tricks and unknown features of the game and turning all of this into an adventure.

For some reason though, the game no longer allows me to make any more further additions (I'm only about halfway through so far).

I've Googled online and I can't seem to find the total number of graphics that can be done or a way of showing how much has already been used when creating a course on the 3DS handheld.

Is there a way to show these numbers or something?

Sorry for posting here, but the SMM forum is all but goosed and dead. :/

If you are halfway done and already have hit the object limit on everything chances are your level is an overly busy poorly designed mess.

I mean I don’t have footage of your level so I can’t know for sure. Maybe you just distiributed things very cleverly to pack a lot into a little space in a coherent way.

But anyways the object limit is something like...

2000 blocks (? Blocks, Brick Blocks, Coins, etc)
200 platforms (Mushroom Platforms, Playing Platforms, Vines, Pipes, etc)
100 Power Ups (however, you may put MORE power ups inside blocks)
100 enemies (only 50 Lakitus) some other things like POW Blocks, Clown Cars etc count as enemies
100 arrow signs
4 sets of doors
3 Bowsers
I'm Mary Poppins y'all.

I don't see why you would want to. It doesn't have online for you to share it, so it would be a waste of time. Just saying.

This is the most intrusive one imo

Kinda is, kinda isn’t.

On the one hand, limiting what you can do in a Maker game isn’t that fun. On the other hand, I can’t say there’s many good levels where that many enemies would be appreciated. 100 man on Wii U is bad enough already lol.

The course design is extremely clean.

The trouble I've run into though is that I had to raise the ground up by 10 tiles to hide all of the secret mechanics in the level so they wouldn't appear on screen.

So the ground alone eats up a ton of memory.

The rest is mostly background aesthetics.

Thank you very much on your post. :)

Oh, and I'm going to watch that YouTube video right now.

Maybe I can think of other solutions to problem solve for this.
