I just noticed today that the 3DS doesn't have bluetooth. My BT headphones shipped to me today and I've been trying it with various devices and the sound and distance is great btw.

You would think an electronic device released in 2011 and will be in the market till atleast 2017 would have BT, I don't get the reasoning why not. It's not a big deal as only a minority will use it, but the market today will be a different market tomorrow. It never hurts to do some future proofing.

Nintendo is not a tech company. You should know this by now.

It really doesn't need it IMO
I own both a Vita and 3DS and love both. ^-^ (Speaking about JP PSN unless stated otherwise)

Several reasons:

1: 3DS is not a phone
2: Bluetooth consumes power all the time... either always on or off.
3: Nintendo would have to license it.. cost $$$

4: an really what would you use it for??

Those Bluetooth headphones have always intrigued me. It'd be very convenient.
Would you like a side of JUSTICE with that?

Because the only supported use would be the headphones.
I'm not exactly "normal." Hope this isn't a problem.
