jkocka00 posted...Impressive. I have been trying with the ghost (not level 1) for a while. I just cant kill the banshees fast enough to keep them from getting back barriers. And when I do get to 8 or 9 I always seem to rocket dodge into a wall and get synched.
Do you like armor piercing over incindiary?
Do you concentrate on the banshees or all the mooks?
Do you even try to dodge warp or just stimpak?
Both armor piercing and incendiary are good. It depends on if you like 25% more damage or the incendiary effect better. Since I didn't have overload, I couldn't make any fire explosions, and that's why I went with armor piercing.
Uh, I do like killing banshees as it makes the wave go by a lot faster, but I only focus on those when I get them alone or when there are no other enemies around that could jump in and threaten my safety. It was taking me multiple tries to kill them. 1 particle rifle clip would take out barriers and stop them from teleporting. Another clip would get maybe half their armor down, but then they would start teleporting or other enemies would run in the way and come after me and I'd have to run away and just let them regain barriers and kill them the next time. Wave 9 was annoying because all those husks would start coming after me as soon as I would start working on the banshees armor. On that wave I mainly just ran around using the acolyte on phantoms.
I try to position myself so that their warps will hit a wall. This way I can fire a sustained beam and not get staggered out of it. Even if a warp did hit me, I wouldn't lose my shields because I had cyclonic on. If there were other enemies around I'd probably use a stim pack just to be safe. I never ran low on stim packs the whole game, and only used maybe one thermal clip pack. I normally try to not get hit, but if a banshee was down to it's armor and I wanted to do as much damage as possible to it before having to run away, I would just use a thermal clip pack so I could stay there and keep shooting it. You just gotta use your judgement really.
