I just started playing Black yesterday and I must say...perhaps it's because I'm now used to Gen6 and 7 (before X, the last game I had played was Heart Gold), but it feels really sluggish... and the graphics look bad to me, even compared to HGSS, but that's just personal I guess. I already know many love how it looks.
As for how it plays... when you enter a building, the game very slowly zooms in before you finally get the transition screen and then you're inside. And when you're encountering a wild Pokémon, there's a weird delay between standing still and the screen flickering/transition to let you know you encountered something. The flow of battle itself also seems a bit slow, but that may really be because I'm more used to gen6/7.
I'm not here to say it sucks or whatever else, I'm just wandering if other people (have) experience(d) the same thing as me?
(and no I have not played the infamously slow DP games yet; I'm hoping for a swtich remake for those. I have played Blue/Yellow/Gold/Ruby/FR/HG/X/OR/Sun/UM (currently playing Crystal/Black/Y))
I use Gamefaqs mostly for Pokemon. Favorite Pokemon (WIP): https://tinyurl.com/favoritepokemonlist My FC is 0276 - 2871 - 2186 / Derpy. Forgot my Friend Safari.
My only problem with Gen V battling is that you constantly have to mash through the battle text (if you want it to go fast), unlike Gens III and IV where you don't have to press anything after you've selected your move. Other than that, it doesn't feel particularly slow.
