Well kinda messed up the earlier topic so ignore that one, this forum could really use an edit function.

Food Items:
Biscuits (6 Turns) - Get at the start.
Dried Peas (8 Turns) - Get from guard at C5 after finding the lighthouse.
Sheep Cheese (16 Turns) - Trade Armoroad Cedar for Sheep Cheese at B4.
Raisins (16 Turns) - Get from woman at C7 (south sea).
Lime Fruit (16 Turns) - F3 (south sea)
Sauerkraut (20 Turns) - Reward for reaching Batavia.
Xian Yu (20 Turns) - Get from an old man on an island at E7 (south sea).
Bacalhau (20 turns) - Give Garum to the soldier at D6 (north sea).
Salted Meat (24 Turns) - Reward for reaching Sheba.
Tanniyn Bacon (24 turns) - Party at North Sea A5 give the fishermen some fish you caught while traveling to the island.
Elephant Turtle (28 Turns) - Reward for reaching Ugarit.


Ship Equipment:
Fishing Flag (Fish Schools+) - Get at the start.
Large Flag (Fish Schools++) - Recieve it from a man at B2.
Great Flag (Fish Schools+++) - Found on an island on your second visit (C5 north sea).
South Banner (Pirates+) - Reach the Deep City.
North Banner (Pirates+) - Reach the 4th stratum.
Dolphin Statue (Rare Fish+) - Find on an island west of the lighthouse (C2 south sea).
Sedna Statue (Rare Fish++) - Found on island north of Tortuga Island (D1).
Casting Net (Fishing+) - Agree to try out the net on an island at D5 (south sea).
Fishing Net (Fishing++) - Found on an island southwest of Damavand (C3 north sea).
Trawling Net (Fish Stroll) - Return the Rock Silver to Sheba.
Ned's Harpoon (Harpoon+) - Bandage the whale on an island in E3 (south sea).
Tanniyn Cannon (Harpoon++) - Series of events in A2 and A3 of the South Sea (reach from 4th Foothold) ---
Foremast (Movement +1) - Reward from finding the Lighthouse.
Latin Sail (Movement +2) - Reward from finding the Tower of Victory, but you must reach the 5th stratum before you receive it.
Culverin Cannon (Hurts Red Pirates) - Reach Tortuga for the second time.
Carronade Cannon (Hurts Black Pirates) - Reward from reaching Aeaea/Northern Continent.
Iron Navel Ram (Seaweed Sailing) - Reach the Ruins of the Giants.
Steel Plating (Reef Sailing) - Reach the Dark Forest and the third stratum.

NOTE: If you do not get an upgrade after completing the requirements, try leaving the port then coming back and talk to the guy at the port.

Ship Upgrades:
Ship Upgrade 1 (+1 Equipment Slot) - Must reach Ayutthaya, do the quest at Ayutthaya (bring the chief shipwright back) and reach the second stratum in the dungeon. If you have done all 3 things and still don't have it leave the port and come back.
Ship Upgrade 2 (+1 Equipment Slot) - Must reach Damavand.


Directions: I have used these directions to get everywhere for the first time and I have double checked them, so they do work.
Lighthouse - Requires 16+ turn food. (Reward: Foremast, 500en) From Armoroad go west 3, south 1, west 7, north 2, east 1.

Batavia - Requires 16+ turn food, Foremast. (Reward: Sauerkraut, 700en) From Armoroad go east 2, south 1 onto the current, south 1, east 1, south 1, west 2, north 1.

Ayutthaya - Requires 16+ turn food, Foremast. (Reward: Ship Upgrade 1 (received later), 700en) From Armoroad go east 4, north 1, east 2, north 1, east 1, north 1, west 1, north 2, west 1.

Tortuga - Requires 20+ turn food, Foremast. (Reward: Cannon, 1200en) From Armoroad go west 3, south 3, west 2, south 1, east 1, west 2, south 2, west 1, south 1, west 1.

Ruins of the Giant - Requires 20+ turn food, Foremast, Cannon. (Reward: Iron Navel Ram, 2000en) From Armoroad go east 1, south 5, west 1, south 1, fire the cannon at the pirates, south 1, east 1 (ride the current), east 3, south 1, north 2, west 1.

2nd Foothold Route 1 - Requires 20+ turn food, Foremast, Cannon. From Armoroad go east 2, south 1 (onto the current), north 1, east 2, north 2, west 1, north 2, west 1, north 1, west 2, north 1, fire the cannon at the pirates, north 3.

2nd Foothold Route 2 - Requires 20+ turn food, Foremast, Iron Navel Ram. From Armoroad go north 4, east 1, north 4, east 1.

Dark Forest - Requires 8+ turn food, Iron Navel Ram. (Reward: Steel Plating (to be received later) 1800en) From the 2nd foothold go west 5, north 3.

Sheba Route 1 - Requires 20+ Turn food, Foremast. (Reward: Salted Meat, 1500en) From 2nd Foothold gowest 1, south 1, east 2, north 5, east 2, south 2, west 1, east 1, south 1, east 1, west 1.

Sheba Route 2 - Requires 8+ turn food, Iron Navel Ram. From 2nd Foothold go east 2, north 2, east 3.

3rd Foothold - Requires 24+ turn food, Foremast, Steel Plating. From the 2nd Foothold go east 1, north 4, east 1, north 2, east 2, north 1, east 2, north 3, west 1, north 1, west 1, north 1, east 1.

Damavand - Requires 24+ turn food, Steel Plating. (Reward: Ship Upgrade 2, 6000en) From the 3rd Foothold go west 2, north 1, west 5, south 3, west 3, south 2, east 1, south 3, west 4.

Cacao (E6 north sea) - Small island north of Sheba.
Garum (D1 north sea) - Small island northwest of 4th foothold.
Kava-kava (D3 north sea) - Offer the tribesmen a crawfish claw.
Circe Chocolate (A1 north sea) - Bring Armoroad Cane and Cacao to Aeaea.
Ivory Netsuke - Reward from Ugarit sea exploration quest
100en Coin - Obtained from some sea exploration quests.
500en Coin - Obtained from some sea exploration quests.
1000en Coin - Obtained from some sea exploration quests.
Platinum Money - Obtained from Aeaea sea exploration quest.
Costal Goods (C4 south sea) Use the South Banner to attract pirates in the south sea and kill them.
Foreign Goods (north sea) Use the North Banner to attract pirates in the north sea and kill them.
Torn Flag - kill a black pirate in the south sea while flying the South Banner ---
Bloody Flag - kill a black pirate in the north sea while flying the North Banner ---


The Tortuga event after finding the Culverin Cannon gives you an option of searching the wrecks, with the results laid out as follows:

30% Chance: Find a skeleton wearing a Coral Necklace, have the option of taking it
10% Chance: Find a 500-En Coin
30% Chance: Lose 1 Turn
30% Chance: Find nothing

Once the Coral Necklace is found and taken, this event can no longer be found. (Credit to Terence for the list on chance to find it).

Epigraph Piece - Can be obtained in South Sea E-5 (c-3) in a swimming event during the day. (Credit - Kefka_freaka)
Tome Page - After completing at least one Sea boss quest at the lighthouse go to the lighthouse and give the guard Terra Rossa.
Weapon Tome I - Bring the Chief Shipwright back to Ayutthaya.
Weapon Tome II - Return to the Dark Forest. (Credit - Kefka_freaka)
Weapon Tome III - Give Niter to the guard the second time you visit Damavand.
Weapon Tome IV - Retrieve Black Pepper and brign it back to Batavia.
Weapon Tome V - Give Armoroad Cane and Cacao to the guard the second time you visit Aeaea.
Weapon Tome VI - Revisit the Ruins of the Giants after completing a sea boss quest here.
Weapon Tome VII - Found at tower of victory after completing at least one quest there.
Weapon Tome VIII -
Weapon Tome IX - Received from a trade ship in the south sea.
Weapon Tome X - Obtained shortly after getting the Tanniyn Cannon, in the ensuing whale hunt (Credit - Cauchys Inequality)


Sea Exploration Quests: These are when you visit a place after the first time, someone will ask you for a certain item.
(B4) Trade Armoroad Cedar for Sheep Cheese. (Reward: Sheep Cheese)
Lighthouse (Unlocked by doing 1 sea boss quest at the lighthouse) - Guard asks you for Terra Rossa. (Reward: 100en Coin, Tome Page)
Batavia - Asks you to retrieve Black Pepper from a reef to the east. (Reward: 500en Coin, Weapon Tome IV)
Ayutthaya - Asks you to find the Chief Shipwright, he can be found on the island where you got the sheep cheese (B4 south sea). (Reward: 500en Coin, Weapon Tome I)
Sheba - Wants you to kill pirates northeast of batavia (B7) to take back some rock silver. (Reward: Trawling Net, 1000en Coin x2)
(D3) A tribe worshipping the Giant Crawfish demands a gift, offer them a Crayfish Claw. (Reward: Kava-kava)
Damavand - Guard asks you to retrieve Niter for them. (Reward: 1000en Coin x2, Weapon Tome III)
Aeaea - Guard asks you for some Armoroad Cane and Cacao. (Reward: Circe Chocolate, Platinum Money, Weapon Tome V)
Ugarit - Guard asks you for some Ivory. (Reward: Ivory Netsuke, don't remember if there's anything else)


Merchant Ships: They will ask for an item (such as Topaz) and give you an item in return (such as Amrita). Where these appear is random as far as I know. Each ship (except the first) will ask for 1 of 2 possible things. The list below lists what they want and what they will give in return.

Topaz -> Amrita

Green Algae -> Hamao
Narcissus -> Luck Book

Trileaf Stalk -> Nectar II
Poinciana Pod -> Speed Book

Serpentinite -> Amrita II
Memimorphite -> Vigor Book

Life Honey -> Amrita III

Stardust Twig -> Power Book

Notes:
Cannot get dried peas until you find (not reach) the lighthouse.
When you reach Tortuga for the first time you need to go back there again to get the Culverin Cannon.
Ayutthaya Quest must be done to recieve ship upgrade 1.
If you do not get an upgrade after completing the requirements, try leaving the port then coming back and talk to the guy at the port.

Are you going to list locations for fish? In case you are and don't know where the South Urchin is, I found one in E5 in the south ocean.

I can't get the Tanniyn Bacon. When I reach that spot apparently my party declines the invitation or something. Anyone know why?

You need to have certain specific fish types. Silver Sauries work, and I think you need three of them. Get them near the third pole. You can also use another fish type caught there, though I haven't given it to the fishermen so I can't guarantee you get the bacon if you give them that type.

You need to get more fish, the option is like 3x of one fish (silver saury?) and 3x of western eel. The fish gives you the bacon, not sure about the other option.

Ned's Harpoon? Starting at Armoroad, go five squares left and seven down. Bring Seaweed Sailing if you're going that exact route.
