Sometimes it's like the game just gives it to me, allowing me to get the blade mode prompt to cut her weapon so I can damage her.

Her AI Mistral in R-04 is even more ridiculous for me. It's like i am only allowed to damage her if I can PP her.

How do you damage Mistral without PP?

She just keeps blocking everything.

On my VH no upgrade run I got fed up with her AI Mistral form so I just kept stunning her with the sai. Took forever because of the low damage but at least it's safe.

Been a while but constant pressure should create an opening where you break her guard, staggering her for you to use Blade mode on the Staff.

Use light attacks primarily as they break down everything as easily as trying to mix up the moveset.
O no, o no don't go, o slow down Joe; The righteous path is straight as an arrow, Take a walk and you'll find it's too narrow.
Too narrow for the likes of me!

Doesn't work on VH no upgrade. You can try forever. Unless you activate ripper mode.

You can break her staff on VH NUR, but it takes a while. Another method is Palm Strike lockdowns. If you have the dodge you can damage her by dodging in the middle of her attacks to get some damage in. She also cannot block from behind and during some recovery animations. Use the barrels if possible (lure her in them).

AI mistral is harder to fight than the real mistral on VH NUR.

The real mistral gives a lot of opportunities for you to damage her.

That's mostly your feeling, their AI is the same. The only difference is that AI Mistral starts in 'phase 3' basically and has no barrels, but she has a lot less HP (half I think).

I'm quite sure AI Mistral has fewer movesets than the real Mistral.

I don't have that much problem against the real Mistral. But AI Mistral fight is a lot harder on VH NUR.
Maybe the dwarf gekkos are the problem?

Happens in the regular fight too, it's all in your head. The only problem that might be is the lack of checkpoints.
