#Ending-A
...Thank you! I love you so much,
darling! I’m sorry I doubted you and
put you through all that questioning!

...But I understand your true feelings.
Better than you know.
You’re saying that you cannot give
yourself over to love just yet...
That you have much more important
things to do right now.
You have some kind of serious job you
have to attend to first, right?
If you weren’t off on an adventure,
you probably wouldn’t need to come
by the Item Check so often.
And that’s why I won’t ask any more of
you. I’ll just watch over you, protecting
you from afar, keeping a vigilant eye
on your items.
And when your important work is done,
we'll tell my dad we’re in love!
Until then, we’ll keep our love secret!
Darling, I... I’ll see you again at the
Item Check.

(You get the Gratitude Crystals from her.)

Talk to her again:

I’m glad you told me how you feel,
darling. See you soon at the shop!

Talk to her again after revisiting her house, that or any other night (repeats for the rest of the game):

Darling! I told you that we need to
keep our relationship secret! If you
come over too often, my dad will
catch on to us!
What could you possibly want this late?

Need to talk!

I’d love to talk forever with you,
but my father is staring at us!
We can talk another time!

Nothing.

Well, aren’t you the strong and
domineering type? But that’s
just how I like you, my darling!

Deposit items!

Well, if that’s all you wanted, couldn’t
you have just come to visit me at the
Item Check during the day?
Or are you trying to tell me that that’s
all I am to you?

Talk to Peater the next night or at Bamboo Island:

Bamboo slivers! My darlin’ daughter’s
got herself a feller, Link!
Oh...who could it be? Who’s the scamp
who's stolen my muffin’s heart?
And you, Link! Why did I
ever put my trust in you? Any more
brains and I’d be as smart as a
tree stump.
Oh my goodness gracious... What am
I supposed to do now?

If you happen to be at Bamboo Island, he will continue with:

The only thing to do now is decimate
some bamboo. It’s 10 Rupees for one
round. Are you in or what?

Talk to him again at his house at night and every night after that...:

Bamboo slivers! Who’s the rascal who’s
gone and stolen my baby girl’s heart?
Oh...I knew this day had to come, but...

...or any day at Bamboo Island:

I want the custard-bellied coward who
broke my baby girl’s heart. It’s drivin’
me crazy!
Times like this, a man just wants to
chop bamboo! You want to give it a
whack? It’ll cost you 10 Rupees.

(Yes, I agree that the word ”broke” seems a little odd here, if you compare to ”stolen” above.)

Talk to Peatrice next day at the Item Check:

Welcome, darling!
I’m happy to hold on to anything my
precious darling needs me to!
Anything at all!

Great!

I hope you’re not in a hurry to go,
sweetie!

See you next time! Tee hee!

No, thanks.

Look, hon, it’s not humane to tease
someone this bored. Knock it off, OK?

Talk to her again and any other day for the rest of the game. The question reactions will be the same as above:

Hello, darling! I’ll store anything you
want me to here.

(And yes, most of her lines here are the same as earlier in the game.)

#Ending-B
...I understand. That’s your answer...
I’m sorry for causing you trouble...

...Don’t. I don’t need your sympathy.
I’m fine. I’ll get over you quickly...
The next time we meet, I’ll greet
you as I would any old customer...

But tonight I want to be alone...
Goodnight...my darling.

Talk to her again:

I’m strong. I’ll get over you. Please let
me be alone with the cold night now...

Talk to her again after revisiting her house, that or any other night:

Oh, Link... I never knew
it would hurt so much...to have my
heart broken...

Talk to Peater the next night or at Bamboo Island:

Hey, Link! Have I got
news for you!
My sweetie daughter’s given her
good-for-nothin’ feller the boot!
Of course, I feel for her. I hate to see
her blue and all, but...
I’m pleased as punch the egg-swipin’
scamp's out of the picture!
Tell me true, Link. Are
you responsible for breakin’ them up?
Never mind! It makes no difference
to me.
I’m as happy as a Loftwing in an
updraft. I truly am.

(You get the Gratitude Crystals from him.)

Talk to him again at his house at night and every night after that...:

Don’t you go fallin’ head over boots
for my honey baby, Link!
I know she’s as irresistible as a cool
glass of lemonade on a sweaty day, but
I won’t stand for it. You hear me, son?

... Or any day at Bamboo Island:

How you doing, Link!
Looks like that mangy milquetoast’s
stopped pesterin’ my little dumplin’.
Let’s celebrate by butcherin’ some
bamboo! One try will cost you
10 Rupees. What do you say?

Talk to Peatrice next day at the Item Check:

Oh... Welcome, Link.
Sorry for acting so crazy the other day.
I thought long and hard about it, and
I’m completely over it now.
There’s an old saying that women grow
more beautiful after their heart’s been
broken. I think I know what that
means now...
And I fully intend to make myself
more and more beautiful every day.
No regrets, OK?
So...where were we? Anything to
deposit today?

Yes, please!

OK. Hand it over.

Remember, you can come by anytime
you need to remind yourself about
how beautiful I am.

No, thanks.

So you came all this way just for my
sparkling personality, huh? I figured
you couldn’t stop thinking about me.

Talk to her again and any other day for the rest of the game. The question reactions will be the same as above:

Welcome, Link. Do you
have something to deposit with me, the
woman who got over her broken heart
and is getting prettier by the day?

Talk to her again the next night or any night after that, assuming you have also talked to Peater and gotten his Gratitude Crystals (repeats for the rest of the game):

I don’t know why, but my father
has been in a great mood lately...
Does he even realize that his only
daughter has just had her heart
broken for the very first time?
How annoying...

As a bonus, I’m adding a funny line that Peatrice will say afterwards if you happen to fill the Item Check completely, assuming you got #Ending-B:

Great... I’m all out of storage space.
Help me out, will you? Trade or get
rid of any items you don’t need.

Talk to her again and choose to check your storage:

Um... Let me see. Yep, I’ve got no
more room for your stuff.
You won’t trust me with your heart,
but you give me all the extra junk
you don’t want to have to carry around.
You’re such a romantic.
I’m joking, I’m joking. I do need to
make room, though, so trade some
items or do something to help me out.

For #Ending-A, she will probably have different lines here, but I don’t have the possibility to check that out until I have the Rupees to actually fill the Item Check. I’ll come back to that later.

Also, when you choose the ”Sort” option for the first time, Peatrice will comment on that. I’m assuming that she will say different things depending on where you are in your relation process, or how it ended. Since I’ve screwed that up already, I’m not able to check out the possible lines on that. Hey, I can’t do everything, can I? :-)

Whew, there you have it. Now I can finally move on to Eldin.

I forgot the Cursed Medal. Once you have 30 Gratitude Crystals and talk to Batreaux to get your reward, a chest with the Cursed medal inside will appear. Approach the chest to trigger some warnings from Batreaux:

No, I beg you! Stop! That chest is not to
be opened, under any circumstance!
There’s something unspeakable inside!

What?

(Jump to #1.)

I want to open it.

I said NO!

#1
That chest contains the infamous evil
of the dreaded Cursed Medal.
If you carry that medal with you, you’ll
find more Rupees than ever before!
You’ll even have better chances of
discovering treasure!
You’ll... You’ll... Oh, don’t make me
say it!

Sounds handy!

Now that you mention it, that does
sound pretty enticing, but...

(Jump to #2.)

Say...what?

#2
It gets worse! Far, far worse...
Any poor soul who holds that medal
will find himself unable to open his
pouch!
No matter how badly you want to use
your potions or shields, they will be
denied to you! Can you imagine a
more gruesome fate?
Please, push any thought of this chest
out of your mind forever! You must
never think of it again.

In other words, if you want to see all the text, choose "I want to open it." then "Sounds handy!"

When you have opened the chest, you can talk to Batreaux to get another line. This will be missed if you leave the house directly after taking the medal.

Ah! Oh dear...now you’ve done it!
You opened it, didn’t you?!
Human desire is an insatiable,
fearsome thing...even to a demon!
But then again, I suppose it’s also
what makes your kind so intriguing...
If your pouch won’t open, fear not.
That will only happen while you’re
carrying that medal.
If you leave it at an Item Check, you’ll
be able to open your pouch once again.

Eldin time. While it's not the least interesting, I'm adding some tutorial talk from Fi. After all, you can only pick the answer once, so I feel I needed to write it down for completion's sake.

Fi, shortly after landing at the Eldin Province:

Are you familiar with how to use
dowsing to search for Zelda?

Of course!

Of course you do. My apologies. Please
continue your search for Zelda.

I forgot...

Understood, Master. To begin dowsing,
press and hold C.
Use the Wii Remote to select a dowsing
target. You will be able to sense the
target through the tip of your sword.
The closer you get to the target, the
stronger the sword’s reaction will
become. You will be alerted with a
vibration and audible cue.
You may also use the cursor to gauge
an accurate direction of the target’s
location.
Please select Zelda as your dowsing
target and commence your search.

When you encounter the first Bomb Flowers, a Mogma called Kortz will give you some tutorial talk. He's lines branches in a way similar to Peatrice, and you can only choose your answers once.

Kortz the Mogma:

#1
Huh? Who’re you supposed to be?
Never seen you around here before...
Whoa, hold it right there! Are you a
friend of those red creeps?

No way!

(Jump to #2a.)

Red creeps?

(Jump to #2b.)

#2a
You’re not, huh? Well, you don’t look
like ’em, that’s for sure. You’re not
THAT ugly.
So what then? You here to pick
bomb flowers?

Bomb what?

(Jump to #3a.)

Yep.

(Jump to #3b.)

#2b
Yeah, monsters carrying big blades?
They’re crawling all over the place.
Can’t believe you haven’t run into any
of ’em.
But if you don’t know ’em, I guess
you're not pals.
So what is it then? You here to pick
bomb flowers?

Bomb what?

(Jump to #3a.)

Yep.

(Jump to #3b.)

#3a
Bomb flowers. You’re joking, right?
Those are them growing right over
there.

You pick one with A, and the fuse
lights. A few seconds later...BOOM!
You don’t wanna stop and sniff this
flower. Dangerous plants, believe me.
But once you learn to use them, they’re
a powerful weapon. Us Mogmas are
crazy about ’em!
You can toss and roll them the same
way you do jars. See what you can do
with those bomb flowers over there.
Um... Huh? You do know how to roll
and throw stuff, right?

Uh-huh.

(Jump to #4a.)

Not really...

(Jump to #4b.)

#3b
That’s what I figured. You can pick
some pretty powerful ones in this area.
Look! There are some right over there!
Take as many as you want.

I’m sure you already know this, but
once you pick a flower with A, the
fuse starts burning. Then it’ll blow up
in just a couple of seconds.
You can also toss or roll them, just
like you can with some other stuff.
You should practice.
Um...huh? You do know how to roll
stuff, right?

Yep.

(Jump to #4a.)

Not really...

(Jumps to #4b.)

#4a
Of course you do! You use the
Wii Remote. Point it up and wave it
forward to throw things. Point it down
and wave it forward to roll ’em.
I mean, hey, everyone knows that!

(Ends conversation.)

#4b
Don’t know any of this stuff, huh?
No worries, pal. I gotcha covered with
all the info you need.
When you’ve got a bomb flower, point
the Wii Remote up!
The trajectory of the bomb will show
up for ya, so all ya do is line it up with
your target and wave it down to
chuck it!
A trajectory guide will also show up if
you point the Wii Remote down.
Wave it up to roll the bomb along that
guideline!
To reach places up high, it’s best to
throw bomb, but to cover distances or
pass through narrow spaces, rolling is
definitely the way to go.

(Ends conversation.)

Kortz will have new things to say when you talk to him again, and another thing if you talk to him after that. No matter what answers you picked, he will say the same thing.

At the Underground area, you will get the Digging Mitts from a Mogma called Tyto, after you kill all the Bokoblins here. You can pick two different answers when you get your reward.

Tyto the Mogma:

I don’t blame you for not knowing
this, but us Mogmas always honor our
debts. Let me give you something to
prove it. Any special requests?

A way forward.

Oh, right. You’re trying to find your
friend, aren’tcha?
In that case, take these things!
They’re something pretty special, if I
say so myself.

(You get the Digging Mitts, then regular line.)

Rupees!

Huh? Rupees? Is that really what
you're after?
(Whispers)
I mean, it’s his reward and all, but...really?
Just rupees? Seems like a waste of a reward
opportunity to me. And I don’t even have any.
Oh wait, I know. I got something good instead.
(Normal speech)
So, hey...uh...I don’t exactly have any
Rupees on me...
But I got something better! Didn’t you
say you were looking for a friend?
Well, I got something that can help you
reach this friend... Take these instead!

(You get the Digging Mitts, then regular line, but choosing this answer will also add this bit:)

It’s not like I’m using these things, you know?
And they’re WAY better than Rupees!

You can get an additional line from him if you start killing some Bokoblins, but return to him without killing them all. Basically, he gives you the advice that you must kill the Bokoblins with horns first.

Anytime before you trigger the cut-scene at the bridge, Impa can be seen above. If you try to approach her with the Beetle, its flight will quickly be cancelled. But it's weird that she just stands there as long as you want, before triggering the cut-scene, when she clearly should be in a hurry.

At the Thrill Digger, you can sit on the chair to get some additional talk with Tubert. If you have asked him each of the three questions at least once, he will give some advice when you end the conversation that can only be heard once. Also, every question you ask gets a shorter version if you ask them again.

When you approach the Earth Temple, you'll hear a Mogma conversation. Fi will then speak to you:

The oddly garbed figure taken deeper
into the region must be...

Zelda!

My calculations agree, Master.
There is a 90% probability the figure in
question was indeed Zelda.

Woman in black?

The woman in black? The probability
of your assessment being correct
is... 10%. Rounded up.
I conclude the subject was likely
Zelda.

While it's hard to figure out exactly when Heart Dowsing becomes available, it can without doubt be triggered easily here in Eldin. Normally, I get in on purpose at the hot area before going down the sand slide, since you can get a Fairy at the slide. It can be triggered even earlier though, possibly after you land in Eldin for the first time if you just take enough damage. It's not necessary to have reached low health at any point earlier in the game; even if it's the first time you are low on health, it can be triggered here at Eldin. Unfortunately, the Heart Dowsing can't sense Fairies or Pieces of Heart... Yeah, I had to try it.

Since I rarely comes to this board, my information here could be outdated. But reading the FAQs made me realize that triggering the Heart Dowsing is not clear to everyone. Feel free to correct me.

Yeah, it's a shame that you can't use dowsing to find fairies. I did find a fairy in the outdoor part of Volcano Summit; roll into the waterfall. I wonder how many people found that? It respawns if you leave the summit area entirely, or enter the Fire Sanctuary.

You can get some actually helpful advice from Fi if you ask her for a hint in the main part of Volcano Summit near the END of the game, and also if you ask her for a hint in either of the two caves in Eldin Volcano's main area that can only be accessed towards the end of the game. The late-game Summit hint tells you of fairies that can be found in the ground (there's one by the bird statue; it also respawns if you leave the summit area), and her hints in the two caves are about watering Heart Flowers to make them grow another heart, and catching fairies - telling you that although you can use a bottle directly, it's better to use the Bug Net (as most old-school Zelda players will know).

Incidentally, in Hero Mode Fi's hints are exactly the same; for example telling you that there's an abundance of Heart Flowers growing here when there are, in fact, none whatsoever...

Small update. In Earth Temple, you will meet the Mogmas Cobal and Ledd. When talking to Ledd after returning his Bomb Bag, he will ask:

That reminds me! How’s MY pal?

Gone...

Seriously? Can’t depend on anybody
these days...
Let me take that back. Looks like your
friend can count on you, though, right?
You’ve risked life and limb to get here.
I’m not letting you borrow my bag,
though. Nope. I’m GIVING it to you!
Just don’t blow yourself up...

Worried!

He’s worried? About me? What kind
of pal am I, putting him through that?
You must be worried too. Not knowing
if your friend’s dead or alive...
I’m not letting you borrow my bag,
though. Nope. I’m GIVING it to you!
Just don’t blow yourself up...

No idea.

That so? Hmm... I hope he’s OK.
Hey...you don’t think those monsters
have...
You must be worried yourself.
Not knowing if your friend’s dead or
alive or some awful place in between...
I’m not letting you borrow my bag,
though. Nope. I’m GIVING it to you!
Just don’t blow yourself up...

Talking to Cobal at any time when being in the temple will make him flee after his speech. His line will not change if you talked to Ledd first, nor will Ledd say anything different if you haven't spoken to Cobal first.

-On a small side note, it's possible to have 9 Heart and 3 Pieces of Heart before entering the Earth Temple. Technically, you can have 10 Hearts before facing Scaldera, since bombs allow you to get an additional Piece of Heart in Faron Woods. Not that it's worth it.

Also, Earth Temple is, in my opinion, the hardest dungeon in Hero Mode, at least if you don't allow yourself to leave it or if you refuse to use bottled healing items (my OCD:s...). A burrowed one-time fairy is the only thing in this temple that can restore some health. In later dungeons you will at least have the first Heart Medal...

... Excellent observation, as usual. Certainly something I would never find.

That trick with watering used Heart Flowers was something I didn't knew until I tried talking to Fi at all locations (at the end of the game on my current 100% Hero Mode file). Cool detail.

I finally have the Text Dump for this game. The amount of text is insane! I will not be using it for this topic though unless I say otherwise (mostly because the text in the dump is not in complete order, and the conditions for triggering a line as well as how many chained questions branch must be tested manually).

However, if anyone is interested in a particular line at a specific point of the game, be sure to tell me!
