  3. Question about leaving allies at the Lucky 38
LancetJades 13 years ago#1
Will it be fine if I use the Lucky 38 as "item storage" on my allies? I plan to recruit them, take them there and ditch them, like a collection of sorts.

Any reason why this wouldn't work? Do they leave or something? Or once they're there, they stay there safely until you return for them?

There are some issues/glitches with disappearing followers and items at the 38. I wouldnt' use it as my main storage area for all my best stuff, at least.

Lucky .38 eats your followers.

It does? So how and where can I have my followers wait, where they'll be safe from glitches AND death (since I'm on hardcore).

Bump. Still wondering on a safe place to "store" followers that I've "collected" so I can explore the wasteland without fearing they'll get killed or lost, or them causing trouble for me.

Bump again. Would really like to know (unless Lucky 38 is the only place to "store" them).

Is the Novac hotel room safe to leave them behind? Also, I use the garbage can right next to the Gun Runners to store all my surplus. Works like a champ when I need ammo and weapons- especially since it is right next to some of the best weapons sold in the game.

Can they be left at Novac? I was thinking of using that room as my storage, since while Victor's Shack is nice, it's a pretty long trek from the fast travel point.

I used to use the dumpster next to thr general store in Goodsprings, but people took stuff out of it.

Lucky 38 doesn't eat your followers.

Your followers get lost on their way to Lucky 38.

Go stand outside Lucky 38 before you dismiss them and they will be fine.

As for stuff, I bought the weapons case that sits at the end of the bed and nothing has gone missing.
