Ok, I finally had some time to spend on WM stuff and just noticed that the topic archived. I suppose I'll just take it here then (we're not missing a lot of info anyway).

Anyway, I've been trying to generate treasure hunt codes and have noticed some really weird things. The game seemingly uses the target item value for the item in the reward box, but has some extremely strict checks on it. Here's three example codes that the game refuses:

FRQ-& F70QH32 PC4WP
FCR63 C#N8#XJ +RFQP

2&&YY S69KW60 PS44@
TXT63 W627S@- 83Q30

1&M&M #S73MTQ 5K4Y5
S4@T& 9J68=18 24HWP

The only code I've been able to successfully generate is one that gives an Apple:

4XHW9 5TWT2@# #-MJ%
K=5H8 K-W&2JX +6Q&@

I'm guessing that there's yet another list of allowed items somewhere... any ideas?

It may be that the reward box can only have items found on the Mission Item List for the Difficulty of the dungeon floor that the treasure mission is on. That seemed to be the case with a Beach Cave treasure mission I did.

In other news, I am a quarter complete with the mappa_s modifer program I mentioned I was working on months ago.

Beyond that, nothing new for me.

In my search of Spinda's Cafe information yesterday, I found the information for what items appear in Croagunk's Swap Shop. The file synth.bin in the synth folder has this information.
Here is what I found out about this file:

Only Pattern in this file:
XX XX YY 00 ZZ 00 QQ 00

XX Dual-Byte equals 471(Marine Cache), 504(Tidal Cape), or is between 574 and 1351; represents item ID.

YY can be 4, 8, 16, or 32; Is on 2 later on, starting at 1014(XX). Possibly related to appearance frequency.

ZZ can be 2, 3, or 5; only 5 later on, starting at 1014(XX). Species Item Cost to buy from Croagunk.

QQ is 7 for 1st 2 entries, and 6 for entry 861(XX)[Water Float]; 0 Otherwise; Possibly a Special condition for the item to appear in the shop.

Data Sample:

Item ID - Frequency? - Species Item Cost - Special Conditions?
D7 01 10 00 05 00 07 00 = Marine Cache - 16 - 5 - 7
F8 01 10 00 05 00 07 00 = Tidal Cape - 16 - 5 - 7
3E 02 20 00 02 00 00 00 = Bulba Claw - 32 - 2 - 0
3F 02 20 00 02 00 00 00 = Bulba Fang - 32 - 2 - 0
40 02 10 00 03 00 00 00 = Grass-Guard - 16 - 3 - 0
41 02 08 00 05 00 00 00 = Leafy Tie - 8 - 5 - 0
42 02 10 00 02 00 00 00 = Ivy-Claw - 16 - 2 - 0
43 02 10 00 02 00 00 00 = Ivy-Fang - 16 - 2 - 0
44 02 08 00 03 00 00 00 = Ivy-Crest - 8 - 3 - 0
45 02 04 00 05 00 00 00 = Plant Torc - 4 - 5 - 0

At 1014, new unique 3-star Species Items start
All have following stats

ID - 2 - 5 - 0

Conclusions:
-There are special conditions for making Marine Cache, Tidal Cape, & Water Float appear(?)
-Type Items, Baby Items, and All other Legendary items (excludes Shaymin) do not appear in the Swap Shop
-The Species items for pre-evolved forms appear twice as often as their evolved forms' items(?)
-The Frequency for the items may be the chance of the item appearing in the Swap Shop if the matching pokemon is on your team. May include forms of same line.(?)
-The lower the * value, the more likely to appear (excluding Marine Cache & Tidal Cape)(?)
