Was playing V Rally 2 aka Test Drive V-Rally in the U.S on Dreamcast last night and look what I unlocked. :)

Now... do I waste time making Sega Rally tracks with the course editor knowing they will only be a rough road layout of the original yet won't look anything like it once done... plus sharing the finished result is another thing lol. Too much like hard work (maybe).

After Burner Climax is still amazing, no one talks about it anymore on the afterburner board :( .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favourite of the conversions as its the most obscure game and it seemed highly tangible to never come home.

Sega 32X - After Burner II is also worthy of that title. It might be 30fps but it's in fact more enjoyable to play because of it. The original ABII @ 60fps is just crazy mental and was designed to take you money and almost impossible to complete on one credit lol.

Highly rate 32X ABII Complete my self. :)

I never had a 32x but played an emulation and Afterburner seems solid as does space harrier. I think I missed out with the 32x.

I had afterburner on saturn through sega ages jap and loved it. Another great rutubu games conversion.

Afterburner climax has it all the lovely sega blue skies and high level play that you expect from sega. Also I havent heard many people praise the soundtrack to ABC but I think it is fantastic and I dont usually play with the classic music anymore. Its pure sega rock,

After Burner Climax Sound Track # 04 Great River Valley

After Burner Climax Sound Track # 05 Vertical Hot Air

This game is fantastic, FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was the first person to praise ABC's Stage & Music in Sega Allstars Tennis and would always load it up. :)
Yes ABC music is awesome and on par with the original, just like Shinny World is to OutRun2, so I'm with you there!

I went to Earls Court and Olympia in London back in September-ish 1994 just to see the 32X with my Bro and we were both pumped for it knowing the Saturn was only months away being released in Japan. We got to see V.R & Doom running on a massive open air platform you had to climb up, it was magical and xmas 1994 was one the best in Sega's history because of all the quality we had to play from V.R, Doom, Starwars Arcade to Micro Machines 2 on MD. We did not know what to play first lol.

I lived that moment in real time.

Come the new year Afterburner II and Space Harrier came out, I bought AB2 as I'm not keen on Space Harrier truth be told. Even tho this was exactly what I wanted and for the first time Sega had ported something as good as the arcade which the Megadrive should of done in the first place I also knew this was not the right thing to do. In other words the 32X was going backwards instead of forwards and a number of games later started to look nothing more than fancy Megadrive carts. Mortal Kombat 2 was great and more complete with awesome sound now but again it was not enough.
As you know, when you have loads to play and I was still having fun the months of waiting went past with-in a blink of an eye!

I was only talking about this the other day but look when I bought my Sega Saturn!

So there we go... 32X was dead before the real games even had chance to come and I think in total there are 30+ games in all with only a small hand full worth playing.

If you want one today it's because you fancy having a play of V.R, Doom, Starwars Arcade, Space Harrier & Afterburner 2 Complete. These are all cheap titles to buy. But if you want Chaotix and some others then expect to pay £150+++ for them.
I have a handful of games, worth a shout is Stellar Assault - neat game. Virtua Fighters I bought much later after it was released looks a bit ugly when you know the Satrun version in side out lol. What is funny is there is no loading and the original white Sega screen and music is in and it's playing before you even had time to blink lol.

Last of all, I created this vid to show something off which is 32X releated, might be of interest.

HOTD4, AfterBurnerClimax!!

if the rumors are true, and Shenmue1&2 HD have been completed for a year and sega is sitting on them for xbla&psn, I think this bodes extremely well for Shenmue3. If sega didn't care, they would have released 1&2 already, but the fact they are holding 1&2 back, is one step positive to a shenmue3:finale release. and with YuSuzuki talking about shenmue3 about twice in the past year also adds fuel .
