For starters, we have the the smite change. The smite change makes it so that no matter what once you complete your smite quest, your smite is at a fixated damage of 900 for the rest of the game. Level is irrelevant. What's the result of this? Objectives become coinflip, the fact you farmed jungle means nothing. Less incentive to farm the jungle.

Next, they increased the camp timers. Obviously this can disrupt your pathing and if your playing a farming jungler with really good clear such as karthus or lillia or something, you may find yourself with an extra 15 seconds of downtime for literally no reason. You effectively get punished for clearing too fast. Less incentive to farm the jungle.

Lastly, comeback XP. Wanna know what this allows you to do? You can spam gank level 2 all you want and face less penalties. The game is literally reimbursing you for the XP you missed out on by not farming. Less incentive to farm the jungle.

What do all of these changes have in common? Less incentive to farm the jungle. Riot is pushing this patch to benefit early game level 2 spam gankers so f***ing hard and for literally no f***ing reason. The new meta will be lee sin, xin zhao, elise, nidalee, udyr, nunu, reksai, trundle. pre- 6 Invades will also be a lot more significant as a result of the changes.

I have no interest in playing these kinds of junglers, yet riot is forcing it on us. I just won't play the game at that point.

and if anyone wants to know why I think this "ruins" jungle, it's because these changes only promote and value one type of playstyle. This early game aggression will almost always overpower playing for any type of power spike. Riot has tuned it this way.

Terrible change.

any change that makes the gap between jungle mains and filled junglers smaller is a good thing as far as everyone else is concerned

Does it really do that? In what aspect? Regardless, the change ended up being something easily abused by experienced junglers to spam gank. It's so f***ing obvious this was the true intention of the patch, simply masked behind "helping new junglers"

What role do you play? How would you like it if riot released a patch to close the gap between you and your enemy laner? They had to put in significantly less effort to receive similar results as you, how would that make you feel?

Regardless I don't believe it closes any sort of gap.

the difference is jungle is way more influential than any other role

you feel the effects of having a s*** jungler much harsher than you do a s*** top laner

Pretty sure the high level intention is to shift emphasis away from a small subset of farm/carry junglers. It isn't really a secret that needs investigative journalism.

That simply isn't true. It is in high elo, but for low-mid elo the mid lane and support have much more influence due to their roaming nature and the fact they can win their own lane.

As a mid laner all you have to do is win your lane, crash your wave and then roam and win top/bot. Similar for support.

Well it fails to do that. What we get is a lee sin meta instead and I've listed why.
