For all of those having trouble getting trophies in Rock Band 2, or just want an easier way of going about them... here's some tips on how to get these as easily as possible. There is no way of getting around the fact that are you going to have to have some skill. You are going to have to be able to play some sort of instrument at Expert level to get all of the trophies, but the more you can play the better. Also having a friend or two helps, online or by your side. They do not have to be able to play well, as a rule they can play on Easy for all the challenges they'll be needed on.

I will assume that you, the person reading this, only have Rock Band 2, and that you have not exported songs from Rock Band. I also assume you have no DLC. I will note places where DLC or exported songs from Rock Band will make things easier for you.

Flawless Fretwork (Bronze Trophy)
Scored 100% notes hit as a guitarist on Expert
-------
The one I got this on, and that I would recommend is "Pretend We're Dead" by L7. It is a very simple song throughout (as far as Expert songs go), and there are absolutely no real parts I could see most slipping up on. For DLC, "Charlene (I'm Right Behind You)" is a possibility, though it's actually tricky in places, I mention it because of the length. Other possible recommendations include: "So What'cha Want", "Nine In the Afternoon", or if you have access to the Rock Band 1 songs, "I Think I'm Paranoid".

Flawless Drumming (Bronze Trophy)
Scored 100% notes hit as a drummer on Expert
-------
"Charlene (I'm Right Behind You)" is probably the best bet. It's slow and every easy. If you have an ounce of talent on drums, you can do this one. If you do not have access to the PlayStation Store to download this (note: it is free), then here are some other song recommendations: "Eye of the Tiger", "Psycho Killer", "Hungry Like the Wolf", "New Kid In School", "Nine In the Afternoon", "Rebel Girl", "My Own Worst Enemy", "I Was Wrong", "Livin' On A Prayer", "Float On", or "Shooting Star".

Flawless Singing (Bronze Trophy)
Scored a 100% rating as a vocalist on Expert
------
Your best bet is "So What'cha Want". Just make sure you're constantly saying... something during the parts you need to be. What you say doesn't matter, just make sure to keep blabbing and loudly enough it registers, and you should get this. It may look like you're cutting it close at times, but you should get it on the first try if you do this.

Flawless Groove (Bronze Trophy)
Scored 100% notes hit as a bassist, up-strums only, on Expert
------
With any of the easier songs, this should be simple, the only way it wouldn't be is if you're a down-strummer and find it hard to up-strum. I don't know about that because I up-strum only, but seriously this is simple. Recommended songs: "Eye of the Tiger", "So What'cha Want", "That's What You Get", "Come Out and Play (Keep 'Em Seperated)", "Float On", "De-Luxe", "My Own Worst Enemy", "Spirit In the Sky", "E-Pro", "Man In the Box", "Round and Round", or "One Step Closer".

Flawless Guitar Solo (Bronze Trophy)
100% on a guitar solo on Expert, using only the solo buttons
------
If you imported your Rock Band 1 songs (and why wouldn't you!) "Wave of Mutilation" and "Orange Crush" are prime choices. Aside from that, your best bet as far as Rock Band 2 songs only, my guess would be "Today".

The Bachman-Turner Award (Bronze Trophy)
Maintained deployed Overdrive for 90 seconds.
------
Easier than it sounds. Just have 3 people (or 2 and a mic stand... heh heh) and everyone play on Easy, have everyone build up their Overdrive to full, then let the vocalist go first, then have the drummer and the guitarist watch that players bar, and when it gets low have the drummer deploy if he can. If he can't, guitarist goes, then back to drummer, if he can't go again, do bass, then drummer should do one as close to the end as he can. By that time you should even have more Overdrive possibly, and you should get this no problem. Recommended song: "Shooting Star", "PDA", "De-Luxe", "Aqualung", "I Was Wrong", "Lazy Eye", "Painkiller", "Panic Attack", "Teen Age Riot", or any other long slow song you can think of.

Million Point Club (Bronze Trophy)
Earned more than 1,000,000 points in a single song
------
You will have to have some friends for this one who are mildly talented. There are probably alternate ways of course, but this will be the quickest way to accomplish it. Start up "Green Grass & High Tides" and put everyone on Hard, and vocalist on Medium. If your crew is halfway decent at their jobs, you should get well over a million. It's worth noting your drummer is probably going to get the most points, followed by the guitarist, so make sure those two are very good. This song can probably be done with other difficulties as well and still make the million mark, so give it a try if you can't get everyone to play Hard. Now, that is the way I accomplished it for other ways you're going to have to give it a shot on your own. There are plenty of combinations of difficulties and songs you can use, but I'll give you some ideas. As far as Rock Band 2 songs go, here are the ones that get the overall highest scores... keep in mind these are probably with all band members, all playing on Expert, not missing anything, and using their overdrive correctly all the way through, but it should give you an idea of where to look for some song possibilities for this trophy.

"Down With the Sickness" - 2,490,724
"Bodhisattva" - 2,368,181
"Panic Attack" - 2,204,698
"Ramblin' Man" - 2,200,121
"Teen Age Riot" - 2,198,431
"Tangled Up In Blue" - 2,195,442
"Let There Be Rock" - 2,130,421
"Shooting Star" - 2,068,818
"Painkiller" - 2,030,210
"Give It Away" - 1,993,026
"PDA" - 1,945,066
"Lazy Eye" - 1,916,688
"Everlong" - 1,728,335
"Aqualung" - 1,956,932
"Conventional Lover" - 1,849,312
"American Woman" - 1,843,370
"Alive" - 1,787,813

Victory! (Bronze Trophy)
Defeated a player in either Score Duel or Tug of War
------
This can be done locally (as in a person standing next to you) for some reason, so you can just beat a friend or an extra controller. Or you can go online, and beat someone there.

Comeback Kid (Bronze Trophy)
Defeated the last player that defeated you in either Score Duel or Tug of War
------
Apparently this is online only... so just play the instrument you're best at, and at a difficulty you feel you will win at, and then purposely lose the first one by a bit, and then come back and stomp them into the ground. That, or make a friend on these boards, or elsewhere and just let them win one, then win the next one. I'm sure there's plenty of people who will be willing to help you get this one as it shouldn't take very long at all.

Band Savior (Bronze Trophy)
Was a savior 3 times during a single song
------
Just get some people again (locally or coordinate a group online), play Easy if you have to, and have them purposely fail (when you have half of a bar of Overdrive) and save each of them once. Then finish the song. Though isn't not necessary, a longer song will give you more time to accomplish this.

Hello Cleveland! (Bronze Trophy)
Deployed Vocal Overdrive 4 times in a single song
------
This could probably be done on any song, just play on Easy and deploy your Overdrive during the gold-colored parts as soon as you get the chance.

Overdrive Overdose (Bronze Trophy)
Achieved an 8x Band Multiplier
------
Again, get some people together, play on Easy if you must, and have everyone build up Overdrive to full then let the vocalist go first and drummer go as soon as he can and the other 2 join in when they get the chance. As long as you have the 8x for even a bit, this should register. Again, a longer/slower song will give you more time to accomplish this.

Clothes to the Edge (Bronze Trophy)
Bought over $100,000 worth of items from the Rock Shop
------
While going through Tour mode staff that make you more money (Trevor "Brutal" Dent, Bob Picunko Jr, NOT Mr. Leo Tolentino though), and just keep playing until you get the 100k and go a-shoppin'! As far as I know this will work across multiple characters as well, so you could shorten the amount of time needed, by having a full band, and amassing 25k apiece. Don't take my word on that though, I haven't tried that.

Needs more Umlauts! (Bronze Trophy)
Made a band logo
------
In the main screen, after you choose your characters for tour mode, go down to "Band Profile", select the Summary tab, and then select Logo. From there, just add any old picture you want, click Done, Finish, Save Changes, and there you go. You can delete it afterwards.

The San Dimas 4th Annual Award (Bronze Trophy)
Competed in a Battle of the Bands event
------
In the main screen, after you choose your characters for tour mode, go down to "Battle of the Bands", now just pick any of them and play through them on any difficulty you like. How you do is not important, just finish it.

You're Hired! (Bronze Trophy)
Hired a staff member
------
You'll get a note while making your way through Tour mode that new staff are available. Just pick one and hire them. Very easy.

You Killed the Radio Star (Bronze Trophy)
Made a music video in World Tour
------
You'll do this one at some point in the Tour, just keep playing... eventually someone will say they want to make a video of your band, accept their offer and this trophy is yours.

Got Wheels (Bronze Trophy)
Won a Van in World Tour
------
After playing enough in Tour mode, you'll get the option to play a certain gig to obtain a van, complete that event for this trophy.

Open Road (Bronze Trophy)
Won a Bus in World Tour
------
After playing enough in Tour mode, you'll get the option to play a certain gig to obtain a bus, complete that event for this trophy.

Jet Setter (Bronze Trophy)
Won a Jet in World Tour
------
After playing enough in Tour mode, you'll get the option to play a certain gig to obtain a jet, complete that event for this trophy.

Worldwide Sensation (Bronze Trophy)
Gained the ability to play around the world
------
After playing enough in Tour mode, you'll get the option to play a certain gig to obtain a worldwide promoter, complete that event for this trophy.

West Coast Performer (Bronze Trophy)
Played a set on the West Coast of North America
-----
Just play a gig in San Francisco in Tour mode. Will also be obtained while going for World Tourer.

God Save the Band (Bronze Trophy)
Played a set in the United Kingdom
-----
Just play a gig in London in Tour mode. Will also be obtained while going for World Tourer.

Heartland Performer (Bronze Trophy)
Played a set in Middle America
-----
Just play a gig in Chicago in Tour mode. Will also be obtained while going for World Tourer.

Western Europe Performer (Bronze Trophy)
Played a set in Western Europe
-----
Just play a gig in Madrid in Tour mode. Will also be obtained while going for World Tourer.

East Coast Performer (Bronze Trophy)
Played a set on the East Coast of North America
-----
Just play a gig in Boston in Tour mode. Will also be obtained while going for World Tourer.

Eastern European Performer (Bronze Trophy)
Played a set in Eastern Europe
-----
Just play a gig in Moscow in Tour mode. Will also be obtained while going for World Tourer.

World Tourer (Bronze Trophy)
Played in every venue in the world
-----
Should be self-explanatory. Play at least once at every venue, and there you go.

Along for the Ride (Bronze Trophy)
Beat an instrument-specific challenge while playing another instrument
-----
In the main screen, after you choose your characters for tour mode, go down to "Play Challenge", choose "Local Upstart" and do either the Fender, Drum or Vocal Warmups, with 2 people playing 2 different instruments. This can be completed on any difficulty.

Challenge Novice (Bronze Trophy)
Completed either 25 Challenges on Medium, 10 Challenges on Hard, or 5 Challenges on Expert
------
The easiest overall instrument to play is gonna be Bass... so play any challenge you can on that and you'll get this before you know it. Just play a couple Expert Bass challenges and this ones done.

Challenge Master (Bronze Trophy)
Completed either 25 Challenges on Hard, or 10 Challenges on Expert
------
Again, bass is your friend if you can't play anything else on Expert. Hard is an option here, but you're going to have to do challenges on Expert anyway for the Challenge Savant trophy, so might as well get to working on them now.

The Final Countdown (Bronze Trophy)
Unlock an Impossible Challenge
------
This will be unlocked as you progress towards the various instrument-specific challenge trophies.

Groove Assassin (Bronze Trophy)
Beat the Impossible Bass Challenge
------
Just keep playing the Bass challenges (the first one appears in the "Underground Favorite" section) until you unlock the impossible one and beat that. Remember: You CAN play Easy if you must!

Beat It! (Bronze Trophy)
Completed all beats at 60BPM or higher, or half of the beats at 140BPM or higher
-----
I have no advice for this one, you (or someone you know) are just going to have to be able to do them. Don't bother with the 140 BPM, if you can do some at that speed, it'd just be easier to do them at 60 BPM.

The Beat Goes On (Bronze Trophy)
Completed all beats at 100BPM or higher, or half of the beats at 180BPM or higher
-----
Again, no good advice for this one. I can't even pull this one off, because of a handful of remaining beats, particularly the triplets, and what appears to be extra lag in the drum trainer itself. I don't know what to say, find someone who can play really well, and bribe or beg them to come over and do it? Maybe a real drummer you know? Honestly, you might have to....

Fill Me In (Bronze Trophy)
Completed all fills at 60BPM or higher, or half of the fills at 140BPM or higher
-----
These aren't nearly as tough as the beats, and there aren't as many. Again, don't bother doing the 140 BPM. You will also get this one while going for the Fill Legend trophy.

Fill Legend (Bronze Trophy)
Completed all fills at 100BPM or higher, or half of the fills at 180BPM or higher
------
As I said, not as tough as doing the beats, just do them at 100BPM. If you really can't do these, then there's nothing I can tell you to help beat them. You'll just have to do them, or like I said, beg/bribe someone who can.

Solid Gold, Baby! (Silver Trophy)
Gold Starred a song
------
This should easily be obtained by doing other trophies, particularly the 100% challenges, and specifically the Vocal challenge, as long as you follow my instructions on that you should get this one as well.

One Million Fans (Silver Trophy)
Reached 1,000,000 fans in World Tour
------
When it comes to your staff, hire the street team when you get the chance, then when you get to him, use Jaime Divine. Eventually you will get there.

Challenge Savant (Silver Trophy)
Completed 25 Challenges on Expert
------
As I said before, Bass is going to be the easiest instrument to do anything on Expert with. If you can play others go ahead, but you should be able to find more than enough challenges where you can do bass only, having DLC packs will help you out if you run out of challenges you can complete on Expert.

Stage Igniters (Silver Trophy)
Beat the Impossible Band Challenge
------
Just follow the band challenges all the way up to this one. You should have no trouble getting there and beating this with another person. This can be done on any difficulty.

Lord of the Strings (Silver Trophy)
Beat the Impossible Guitar Challenge
------
Just follow the guitar challenges all the way up to this one. You should have no trouble getting there and beating this. This can be done on any difficulty.

AN-I-MAL!!! (Silver Trophy)
Beat the Impossible Drum Challenge
------
Just follow the drum challenges all the way up to this one. You should have no trouble getting there and beating this. This can be done on any difficulty.

Virtuoso (Silver Trophy)
Beat the Impossible Vocal Challenge
------
Just follow the vocal challenges all the way up to this one. You should have no trouble getting there and beating this. This can be done on any difficulty.

Buy a Real Instrument Already! (Silver Trophy)
Beat any Impossible Challenge on Expert
------
Easiest one is going to be Bass overall, if you feel confident in your abilities, play whatever you like though. Note that it doesn't say you have to do well, just get through them. Panic Attack might give you a run for your money on Bass, so be prepared for it! If you feel like you can't get through, just save your Overdrive, don't deploy it unless you feel you're in danger of failing. Like I said, you don't have to do well, just get through it. Again, beg/bribe someone if you can't get through the bass challenge, or any of the others yourself.

Secret Trophies

Vinyl Artist (Bronze Trophy)
Finished the Endless Setlist 2 in World Tour on Medium
------
Do what it says. Bass is the easiest instrument to do this with, but at this level you should be able to get through it with about anything. Remember, you don't have to do well, just get through it. Try to aim for the Bladder of Steel award with this one.

Rock Immortal Inductee (Silver Trophy)
Joined the Rolling Stone Rock Immortals list
------
After playing enough in Tour mode, you'll get the option to play a certain gig to become a Rock Immortal, complete that event for this trophy.

Gold Artist (Silver Trophy)
Finished the Endless Setlist 2 in World Tour on Hard
------
Do what it says. Bass is the easiest instrument to do this with, and recommended unless you feel confident in your ability with something else. Remember, you don't have to do well, just get through it.

The Bladder of Steel Award (Gold Trophy)
Completed the Endless Setlist 2 without pausing or failing
------
You should probably get this at the same time you do the Vinyl Artist award. That way if you do need to go to the bathroom. You can possibly hand off to someone else for a minute and take care of business. Some other notes, this will take approximately 6 hours to do, no kidding. So, go to the bathroom well beforehand and limit what you drink during this attempt. It's also recommended you have somewhere comfortable to sit or lay down while doing this, and standing up will get very tiring very quickly. Another recommendation would be to have some small bite-size foods for nibbling on in-between songs, and possibly a damp wash cloth to get any grease or crumbs off your hands afterwards. Also let anyone else that might need to know what you are doing and that you won't be able to answer the door, the phone or do pretty much anything for that time.

Platinum Artist (Gold Trophy)
Finished the Endless Setlist 2 in World Tour on Expert
------
Do what it says. Bass is the easiest instrument to do this with, and highly recommended, unless you are that damn good with something else. Remember, you don't have to do well, just get through it.

Complete Discography (Plantinum Trophy)
Wow! You've gotten all the trophies in Rock Band 2
------
See (all) of the above.

Thanks for the guide. About the Platinum icon, is it like RB1 where if you finish with Bass or Guitar both instruments will have Platinum icons?
