I created a FAQ for Order Up!

Hopefully, it answers the most frequently asked questions.

It's got some other stuff in there too... I'd appreciate it if people could look it over, point out any mistakes and send in tips... or anything else you think should be in there.

I'm already working on 1.1 . If you post a tip or suggestion here, I'll put it in the FAQ and credit you with your username. If you want any different sort of credit, let me know. I also accept tips by email to the email address in the FAQ.

You don't add random spices, you add exactly the right spices at exactly the right step.

If the step says 'Needs Spice', you open the spice window when you're doing that step. It will show you pictures of the spices it wants. You must add exactly those spices and only those spices. When you pick the right one, a green check goes through the picture. You may have to add more than 1 different spice at a time.

If you add spices to the wrong steps, or add extra spices, or don't add ALL the spices the recipe uses then you fail.

Hey saintly,

I've been experimenting the last couple of days, and I think I have burning food for Dusty on hard mode down to at least a pseudoscience. The key, of course, is to make Dusty's food reach the point of where it would be "Poor" for any other patron... so I went into Normal mode and did a lot of counting, and a lot of tolerating my assistants yelling at me for burning food. Here's what I've come up with:

numbers are time in seconds
a comma indicates that you should 'flip' the food.

El Fuego

Tacos
- Saute: 15, 15, 15
Huevos con Ranchos
- Cook (egg): 25,15 Grill (bacon): 30,20
Guacamole
- N/A
Burritos
- Saute: 15, 15, 15
- Cook (beans) 30
Nachos
- Saute: 15, 15, 15
Carne Asada
- Saute (meat): 15, 15, 15
- Saute (veggies): 15, 15
Chimichangas
- Saute: 15, 15, 15
- Cook (beans): 30
- Fry: 30
Tortilla Soup
- Saute: 15, 15, 15
- Cook: 30
Fajitas
- Saute (meat): 15, 15, 15
- Saute (veggies): 15, 15
Enchiladas
- Saute: 15, 15, 15
Chile Relleno
- Fry: 30
Tamale
- Saute: 15, 15, 15
- Steam: 30

All the times have roughly five seconds of leeway either way to still get it counted as burnt.
The invisible timer starts when the container the food was in disappears (can, eggshell).
The timer appears to stop while you are 'flipping' the food in saute mode.

Feel free to use this info in your FAQ.
