The journey through side special->down tilt Ganons and short hop fair Chroms is complete. I am now elite. Hopefully no 1mil+ people with 1 stock, items enabled as preferred ruleset.

After the patch, 95% of matches were actually 1v1 3 stock, no items so they did a decent job with the matchmaking changes in my experience. It was stupid having loose rule matching while there's a billion people playing. Also, just make 2 modes Nintendo, for f***'s sake.

I really do hate that Chrom is some kind of cracked out Marth successor. Doesn't help that he's largely forgotten in his own game, and he's the 3rd Awakening rep.

The original matchmaking was on par with Triple Triad in Final Fantasy 8 as sheer spite towards the player goes. I should give online a shot again.

Well if you'd like to play sometime, I can potentially make it more interesting than Chrom and Ganondorf knuckleheads. I'm currently sitting at 1.6 mil with ZSS and Snake.

^It's weird since Gen U is probably the one title that strays the farthest from the core mechanics of the series but the animations and effects make it look like its the next step from ptrurd even if there was a whole gen and then some between them.

As for smash, we can get some matches in, sure. But if our matches with col are anything to go by, we're looking at a bit less than a full second of lag if you are in America.

I realised that the "gravitate towards your highest ranked char after a win" GSP system can be cheesed so hard. I got my completely scrubby Falcon to 1.7m because of a very honest Robin who was about 500k below me and was eagerly rematching. Game gave me close to 70k for every win.

Mhworld feels more off than gen. You're always lost for the first 8 or so hours. And you haven't even drawn your weapon yet.
Please.

On the player side, yeah. But Gen and GU's deviants, new monsters and updated ones have aura effects, sparkling beams and generally bombastic animations. And it seems to me that P3rd was the one that pushed into that direction.
