More 2019 releases. It's getting too packed.

Wasn't referring to HK though. Astral Chain and Zeruda.

I'm at the green forest area, and so far the game has me hooked. I liked that the enemies have a nice AI akin to souls series. Only thing I miss is the plethora of weapons you'd get from any Castlevania. The music is top notch. A superb game nonetheless.

Also Dead Cells is the polar opposite of HK, it's like Speedrun: The Game. It encourages you to be fast, else you miss out on the bonus/powerups you get. There's even a daily leaderboard in-game for the fastest runs. It gets hard when ur reflex is of a geezer that is just about to reach for the heavens(or hell).

HK claims another one.

I actually prefer a single weapon/select few weapons combat system with a decent amount of options. The bosses in HK take into account your moveset so well, an area which is generally lacking in Metroidvanias with droppable/lootable weapons. The abilities and pin system provide variety instead.

That's not to say multiple weapons is a bad design choice but it's something devs tend to throw in with little thought. It's kinda like selectable difficulty. Either you put in the effort to make the game mechanics adjust well in each one or you morph the game into something that kinda works on all difficulties, fined tuned for none.
