While synthesizing new items I would occassionally see a skill that I was unsure what it did. The game maddeningly stuck the help for these skills in the battle menu, where you can't reference them in the middle of creating new items. Because of this I decided to type up the help menu and share it here in case anyone else finds it useful.

This post is going to be split up. Please don't post until you see the "All Clear" from me.

A. ATK Decrease Attack 1 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's A. ATK when attacking.
A. ATK Decrease Attack 2 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's A. ATK when attacking (higher chance than A. ATK Decrease ATK 1).

A. ATK Increase 1 - Increases own A. ATK.
A. ATK Increase 2 - Increases own A. ATK (more than A. ATK Increase 1).
A. ATK Increase 3 - Increases own A. ATK (more than A. ATK Increase 2).

A. DEF Attack 1 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's A. DEF when attacking.

A. DEF Decrease - Decreases own A. DEF.
A. DEF Decrease Attack 2 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's A. DEF when attacking (higher chance than A. DEF Decrease Attack 1).
A. DEF Decrease Attack 3 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's A. DEF when attacking (higher chance than A. DEF Decrease Attack 2).

A. DEF Increase 1 - Increases own A. DEF.
A. DEF Increase 2 - Increases own A. DEF (more than A. DEF Increase 1).
A. DEF Increase 3 - Increases own A. DEF (more than A. DEF Increase 2).

Ability Plus 1 - Follow a base arte with a second base arte.
Ability Plus 2 - Follow an arcane arte with a base arte.

Accelerate - Decreases your battle recovery time.

Add Combo 1 - Increases your regular attack combo on the ground by one.
Add Combo 2 - Increases your regular attack combo on the ground by two.
Add Combo 3 - Increases your regular attack combo on the ground by three.

Backstep - Backstep by quickly tapping the Control Stick back twice.

Cast Delay Attack 1 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's casting speed when attacking.
Cast Delay Attack 2 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's casting speed when attacking (higher chance than Cast Delay Attack 1).
Cast Delay Attack 3 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's casting speed when attacking (higher chance than Cast Delay Attack 2).

Concentrate 1 - Decreases the chance of being interrupted when attcked during casting.
Concentrate 2 - Decreases the chance of being interrupted when attcked during casting (more effective than Concentrate 1).
Concentrate 3 - Decreases the chance of being interrupted when attcked during casting (more effective than Concentrate 2).

Critical 1 - Increases chances of a critical hit.
Critical 2 - Increases chances of a critical hit (higher than Critical 1).
Critical 3 - Increases chances of a critical hit (higher than Critical 2).

Delay - Increases the amount of time needed to escape.

DEX Decrease Attack 1 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's DEX when attacking.
DEX Decrease Attack 2 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's DEX when attacking (higher chance than DEX Decrease Attack 1).
DEX Decrease Attack 3 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's DEX when attacking (higher chance than DEX Decrease Attack 2).

DEX Increase 1 - Increases own DEX.
DEX Increase 2 - Increases own DEX (more than DEX Increase 1).
DEX Increase 3 - Increases own DEX (more than DEX Increase 2).

Elemental Attribute 1 - Wind - Change regular attack's elemental attribute to wind. *
Elemental Attribute 1 - Fire - Change regular attack's elemental attribute to fire. *
Elemental Attribute 1 - Water - Change regular attack's elemental attribue to water. *
Elemental Attribute 1 - Earth - Change regular attack's elemental attribute to earth. *
Elemental Attribute 2 - Ice - Change regular attack's elemental attribute to ice. *
Elemental Attribute 2 - Lightning - Change regular attack's elemental attribute to lightning. *
Elemental Attribute 2 - Light - Change regular attack's elemental attribute to light. *

NOTE - * Only one elemental attribue skill will be in effect (even if more than one type is equipped).

EX Attack 1 - Execute a powerful specialized attack by holding down A while on the ground.
EX Attack 2 - Execute a powerful specialized attack by holding down A while in the air.

EXP Minus 1 - Decreases the amount of EXP earned in battle.
EXP Minus 2 - Decreases the amount of EXP earned in battle (less than EXP Minus 1).

EXP Plus 1 - Amount of EXP earned in battle increases by 20%.
EXP Plus 2 - Amount of EXP earned in battle increases by 50%.
EXP Plus 3 - Amount of EXP earned in battle increases by 100%.

Fire Ball - Has a chance of executing the spell Fire Ball during regular attacks.

Glory - Avoid staggering when hit (except critical damage).

Happiness 1 - Amount of Gald earned in battle increases by 20%.
Happiness 2 - Amount of Gald earned in battle increases by 50%.
Happiness 3 - Amount of Gald earned in battle increases by 100%.

HP Decrease 1 - Decreases own HP.
HP Decrease 2 - Decreases own HP (more than HP Decrease 1).

HP Increase 1 - Increases own HP.
HP Increase 2 - Increases own HP (more than HP Increase 1).
HP Increase 3 - Increases own HP (more than HP Increase 2).

Item Finder 1 - Increases chance of finding items dropped by the enemy.
Item Finder 2 - Increases chance of finding items dropped by the enemy (more effective than Item Finder 1).
Item Finder 3 - Increases chance of finding items dropped by the enemy (more effective than Item Finder 2).

Item Getter - Increases chance of stealing na item from the enemy (can only be used with artes that have the ability to steal).

Item Pro - Gels are more effective when used in battle.

Life Charge - Recover HP at the end of battle.

Life Drain 1 - Recover HP after defeating an enemy.
Life Drain 2 - Recover HP after defeating an enemy (more effective than Life Drain 1).
Life Drain 3 - Recover HP after defeating an enemy (more effective than Life Drain 2).

Lightning - Has a chance of executing the spell Lightning during regular attacks.

LUCK Decrease - Decreases own LUCK.

LUCK Increase 1 - Increases own LUCK.
LUCK Increase 2 - Increases own LUCK (more than LUCK Increase 1).
LUCK Increase 3 - Increases own LUCK (more than LUCK Increase 2).

Lure 1 - Attract enemies.
Lure 2 - Attract enemies (more effective than Lure 1).
Lure 3 - Attract enemies (more effective than Lure 2).

Mental Charge - Increases the TP recovery amount at the end of battle.

P. ATK Decrease Attack 1 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's P. ATK when attacking.
P. ATK Decrease Attack 2 - Has a chance of decreasing the enemy's P. ATK when attacking (higher chance than P. ATK Decrease ATK 1).

P. ATK Increase 1 - Increases own P. ATK.
