So to start of, TGS is less than a month away. What are you hoping to see from the event?

I'd like some announcements for new IP's and a few for older IP's that still have a following, and the fans(me being one of them) wish for more.

Platformers like Tomba and Klonoa.
Scrolling Shooters like Einhander.
RPG's like Suikoden, Legend of Dragoon, Koudelka/Shadow Hearts series.
SRPG's like Tactics Ogre or Final Fantasy Tactics or Turn-Based Strategy Games(think XCOM).

I'd like to see a lot, but that's just me being greedy. If we get some enhanced ports(Star Ocean 1 & 2 on PSP for example), I'd like that as well. Remakes of Games like RE2/RE3 or the like would be awesome. I always get overly excited, but often get letdown, because of such high expectations. Though, I will stay optimistic, as NextGen has quite a bit of potential.

Yeah, PAX is coming up in a few days, and TGS is around the 19th or so in September. There's usually several events/conventions, that aren't just about Gaming, but include showcasing and revealing news and such.

PAX probably won't have any big game announcements or reveals, just some Indie Stuff, but TGS is usually where a lot of big announcements are made.

Comic Con reveals stuff about games, as well, though that and QuakeCon already passed.

I was mostly right on PAX, but TGS is coming up. I hear there will 10+ Playable PS4 games at the Sony booths. Plus, a bunch of announcements and gameplay. TGS is going to be pretty good.

There is also a Japanese PS4 event happening next monday (live streamed too!), but I'm not expecting much in terms of new game announcements. I think they will primarily focus on the hardware and Japanese release date.
Not that that is a bad thing cause TGS will begin in 10 days after that event! I'm going to keep my expectations low, and just hope for a good JRPG (apart from FF15 and KH3, which are already confirmed).
