Forget the BS about using the staff to hit enemies, or the controller to throw bombs. That will get you killed very fast. The game is actually better suited to just shooting the badguys. Granted, there are some problems with the camera that muck up the control a bit. But if you spend some time and figure out how to do it, you can just run around shooting the badguys, instead of actually fighting any of them. The staff's firing function has an incredibly long range, and the shots get more powerful with the more times it hits the enemy. And most of the time, you can use the fact that Anubis tends to run so much to pick up the hearts before they fly away.

Also, the nunchuck's trigger button makes Anubis jump, so you don't have to bother with the goofy "shake the nunchuck to jump" aspect. You do have to watch the sudden aiming attempts, though, as they'll make Anubis swing the staff and cancel out the targeting function. You can also use the targeting to correct many of the camera angle problems and solve the platforming areas faster. Once you get the hang of it, the process becomes second nature. The one real controlling hang-up is the "wave the controller around to spin the platform" sections, as it doesn't always work. But, if you kill all the enemies who could get to you, that shouldn't be more than a minor inconvenience. And if you need to walk, just practice barely tilting the nunchuck control stick.

In general, the game is best played for a level, then left alone for a while, and then returned to later for another level. Wear away at it in chunks.

Also, if you're going to buy the game, get it from Amazon or Ebay for around $3.00, instead of paying store prices. It's just not the kind of game that's worth investing very much money into. But it -is- a good enough "bargain bin" game.
