I was wondering if someone could tell me what the difrence between the PS2 and PS3 versions are. Like is it missing levels, upgrades, shorter story Exc.

There is a huge difference: The ps3 version is very similar to the 360 version, while the ps2 version is a clone of the Wii version. A lot of levels are very different , apart from locations, and even the upgrade system is different.

!!!!SPOILERS!!!!

I'll remember as much as I can off my head :

Backwards hilt - PS3
Ripping a star destroyer down is a cut scene - PS2
Graphics are epic better - PS3
Force Finishers are different, PS3 is much more unleashed, like cutting the AT-STs in half and not a ball, chucking huge vents at Vader etc...
Different levels, Jedi Temple appears thrice in PS2 and not at all in PS3
Different cut scenes, in PS3 you find your father's lightsaber on Kashyyyk, in PS2 you fight you father's illusion
Your clothes, like your starting clothes without GRANDMOFF cheat, are different, PS3 they're shiny silver, in PS2 they're dark black-ish grey

Hope this helps, I know just about everything about this game, but I'm limited to my un-knowing of the PSP version or playing VS. which is Wii exclusive I believe?

AH! The main thing I was concerned about was game-play differences (after getting sonic unleashed for the ps2, and seeing it on the ps3, it's amazing its even called the same game as the game play isn't even remotely similar, and the only thing the stages of the same name have in common is the distant background). You've been a big help, thanks.

hah, I tried that game over 2 days, and just like a writer in NINTENDO POWER said, the day stages are awesome while night is too played, waaaaay too many levels at night, but that was PS2, I haven't played PS3

Just to be clear, this describes TFU very well. Beyond what James said, the mechanics and level designs are completely different.

How different is the gameplay?

I was incredibly pissed at how the ps2 version only had one attack lightsaber button where you mash it all day...
Sony should make a Blu-Ray less PS3. (4 min later) PS3 games are on Blu Ray disks? Wow, this explains everything. - videogamer1030

In that regard, It's the same in the next gen versions. One button for lightsaber attacks, one for force push and one for force grip.

yes that is a pain, especially since mashing that one button makes him circle the foe

but there are epic combos

like the one where he -pushes guys away, and sends lightning to hunt them down
-or -
slashing 2 with your saber then lightning
- and -
slashing 3 times then lightning will make a different combo

The leveling/growth/holocron/etc. system is completely different, the force power combos aren't even similar. The level designs are completely different, there are levels in the PS3 not in the PS2 (and the other way around), and the enemies are VERY different.
